Hello everyone. I am wanting to run Watch Captain Artemis, but am not overly fond of his model. As near as I can tell, his Hellfire Extremis is basically a combi-flamer. Is anyone aware of any other space marine models that have a build option that would let them be equipped with a combi-flamer and power weapon? Preferably one that doesn’t come with chapter specific iconography and isn’t part of a larger kit, but if that’s all there is, I’m still interested in hearing about it.

I am reading up on some of the sororitas lore and seeing that militant orders are either part of the Prioris or Sanctorum convents on Terra or Ophelia VII. Are there any minor orders (or even lesser convents) that are based out of other planets or locales? If so, would those orders still only recruit from the Schola Progenium or might they recruit locally?

Has anyone ever run a game where there is a fairly significant distinction in power level between the PCs? I’m not talking about D&D style adventurers with a level or two difference. I mean things like Superheroes and sidekicks, dragons and riders, protector and protectee, or Jedi with Padawans? What needs to happen to make such a party successful? Are there any pitfalls that need to be avoided/mitigated? Are there systems that would handle such a party better than others? Curious if anyone has ever done something like this and how it went.

To clarify, I’m not asking if this list will succeed at tournaments or anything. I am new to 40K (having previously played Age of Sigmar) and looking to get into custodes and this list is buildable out of 2 combat patrols and the vertus praetors kit, so comparatively a low entry cost. I just want to know if I’m missing anything critical that will impede my ability to have fun playing this list (like if not having vehicles or sisters is going to cause issues for example).

New 40K player looking at getting into custodes. The data sheet for custodian guards says they only have the spear unless they replace it with the sword and shield (or vexilla), but I don’t see any mechanical impact from them having the shield equipped. Would it cause issues or confusion in game if I built them with spear and shield?

Edit: Thanks for the help everyone! I hadn’t noticed the part about the shield giving the model +1 health.

I really want to like this game. I am running the Delian Tomb for my table and it’s just not clicking for me. Everything just feels so samey and combat takes forever. My players seem like they are having a blast, but I’m just not.

Any advice would be appreciated. Like I said, I really want to like this game and I’m not trying to be a downer or turn others off of it. What am I missing?

Edit: Ok, so ran the encounter with the undead tonight and that was way more fun than any of the previous goblin encounters.

I’d really like to make an army of Geth from Mass Effect using the DAO Union rules. Is anyone aware of any good sources for Geth miniatures?

I want to be clear, this is not a post that’s bashing Critical Role for their use of DnD 5.5e. It’s their game, they can do what they like and I can see why there’s a business case for them to use the system that would be most commonly known to the general audience.

With that out of the way, what system would you use if you wanted to run a game that was all about intrigue and political maneuvering in a city like Dol-Makjar?

I have a couple of goblin actors whose tokens I have already placed in scenes and added to encounters. I want to change the token image for those goblins. Is there a way for me to do it once and push that change to all of the tokens I have placed so I don’t have to do it a couple dozen times?
