ajc.comNew Madden rocks
I’m exclusively a franchise player. I’m here to tell you that minus a few boggling UI and QoL changes, the new Madden is the best one in years
Pros:
- Players actually make sense. The new system for FAs and trades prevents cheese and incentivizes realistic and in-depth moves. I love how much creativity we can have with structuring a contract.
- Gameplay. It’s a ton of fun. Rushing and lanes work, and I’m not seeing freak animations
- The AI makes trades and does it well. It’s really fun to see teams actually try to contend. I find they do a better job at adapting.
- They’ve done away with those weird press conference things and breakout scenarios are cleaner. You can delegate a lot to the AI if you want.
Cons:
- Injuries are insane during sims
- the contract mini-game feels a little tedious at times and I wish they did more to explain how it works
- the QOL changes are annoying. You have to tab out to see how many years a player has on contract and you have to tab out to see your team needs.
