A constellation puzzle game coming to Steam later this month

Hello! I made Starglyphs, a puzzle game where you follow a guide and trace its paths through a constellation without retracing a line.

The puzzles are generated to be always solvable. When you finish one, the constellation turns into a very pretty nebula! It's meant to be a genuinely chill, relaxing experience - at least for me it is!

There is also a Daily Glyph, and completed constellations go into an Atlas where you can name them and revisit them later or use Photo Mode to save them.

You can try the free web version here: https://starglyphs.com

And wishlist on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4879810/Starglyphs/

Starglyphs is a constellation puzzle game built around Euler paths

I made Starglyphs because I loved the Astrariums in Dragon Age: Inquisition and wanted a whole game full of those puzzles!

Each constellation has a glyph to trace. You need to find a route that uses every connection exactly once. When you finish it, the constellation becomes a nebula.

Starglyphs is coming to Steam later this month. Check it out and feel free to let me know what you think!

Inquisition's astrariums were one of my favorite side activities, so I made a whole game inspired by them

I always wished there were more of them and I loved the lore behind them all, especially the clues that my fav DA creators and loremasters would break down in their videos. I thought they were very atmospheric and really rewarding when you solved them. It was one of the tasks I didn't mind doing in the game.

Anyway, I am a hobby game dev so I made my own constellation puzzle game inspired by them, Starglyphs, where you have to trace the paths given in the guide without retracing a line.

Would honestly love to know what people liked or disliked about the astrariums because that was the starting point for this whole thing!

You can play the browser version here if you want to try it (it's starglyphs[dot]com) - no ads or anything like that. I plan to release it on Steam and mobile soon.

Best way to approach controller mapping design?

I built a puzzle game with mouse and tap controls in mind first, with plans to add controller input later. Well later is now, and I’m trying to decide the best way to approach the mapping design. How do you all decide what’s a good “A/X” activation vs y/triangle, and other mappings like that?

The game in question is called Starglyphs - it’s web only at the moment but the Steam version is in progress. It’s a constellation tracing game.

[DEV] Galactic Color Match, a space color-matching arcade game, is out now on Android

Hello! I’m the developer of Galactic Color Match. I’m excited to share that it’s out now on Android on the Play Store!

So this game is about color recognition and reflexes. You pick the matching color before the timer runs out. There are streaks, power-ups, flash rounds that briefly hide the target color, and difficulty modes from Easy to Impossible. I’ve been told Impossible is quite challenging. :)

It also has an original synthy soundtrack I wrote and accessibility options for colorblindness.

It’s free to play, with a one-time option to remove ads. Ads only appear between runs and never interrupt gameplay.

Hope you enjoy!

[REQUEST] Looking for Text Adventures that are NOT Visual Novels!

Hey all, I'm looking for any text adventure recommendations. These are my preferences but I'm open to expanding my experiences here!

  • Does not need to be graphic-less. In fact, if there is art and a good UI, that's great too. Think Planescape Torment without the movement.
  • RPG would be preferred if the game is story driven. Not looking for crunchy stat simulators.
  • Combat is fine if it's well done!
  • NOT a visual novel - no manga/anime art styles or dating sims please

Thanks! :)

Starglyphs: A relaxing, beautiful constellation puzzle game!

Hello! Starglyphs is a zen constellation puzzle game where you click stars to complete a glyph.

Every puzzle is procedurally generated, and the resulting nebulas are colorful, unique, and really nice to look at. Each solved constellation is saved to your Atlas, where you can give it a name and share it using the included Photo Mode.

Pick your difficulty by choosing the number of stars per puzzle, and don’t worry, there are undo and reset buttons standing by just in case. There’s also a Daily Glyph with a randomly selected difficulty level.

I’ve tried my best to make it run well on both desktop and mobile across different screen sizes and devices. Please try it out, I'd love to know what you think!

You can play it here: https://starglyphs.com

UPDATE: I have found an artist. Thanks to all who messaged me for your interest!

Howdy! I'm looking for an artist or graphic designer who can put together a nice icon for the app stores and follow their guidelines, along with maybe some templates for marketing. This is for a mobile/web game that will be launching in the app store but is already available to play on web. The game is color matching in space.

Deliverables would be the icon and sources (psds or however you make them)

I have a version I started myself which I'm happy to send or feel free to take it your own direction.

Please reach out via DM or you can email me at hello@skooterstudios.com

Thanks!

You can relax on Easy and vibe to the music while picking the right color or maybe you want a bigger challenge with Impossible where the colors seem to be exactly the same...or are they?
