Wife has an iPhone and I keep getting new Pixels every year and it's nice being able to compare camera setups on our phones.

Both of us feel like Pixel takes better pics 9 out of 10 times, and the new looks implementation is actually better compared to iPhone filters (even though I don't use it as much, except for editorial Look from time to time).

However, the video quality is not even close. If Pixel is 15-20% better at taking pics, it's probably 50+% worse at taking videos.

I wasn't able to take a single decent video of the fall colors photographed above - the colors all looked washed out, the details completely missed and the video looked like it was made on a phone from 5+ years ago.

At the same time the iPhone absolutely nailed those videos, while taking slightly worse pics.

I wish Google can figure out the video game one day, this isn't a new phone any longer and it's unfortunate it can't take decent videos while making absolutely stunning photos...

I've ordered 21 bundles from the recent Amazon sale (5 starter packs plus a book for 3 USD).

90% of these packs had at least 1 blue, and quite a few reds.for comparison, I've opened 3 Costco bundles (40 packs plus hardcover book) and 80+ percent of the packs didn't even have a blue one (though I got one pink).

Seems very weird for randomly distributed packs?

I was experimenting with a new formation and there's this guy who's scored 3 goals in a champs and pausing on me so that I can quit.

Well, nothing as pleasant as using the pauses to change back to my main formation and score 5 goals in less than 5 minutes so that they quit.

Finally had a chance to put the stickers in the book ahead of the final.

He would also be lengthy in this case and his stats look pretty good to me but the meta rating seems pretty weak?

Main event evo vs a bunch of others give the same rating but very different stats. Which one of these two makes the most sense?

Pixel 10 pro on a warm day in Colorado doesn't let me use maps because the phone needs to cool down. But hey, at least you keep bloating my phone with all the AI things. I've had every pixel iteration and the fact it's still not fixed, even with the "great" tensor processor is quite annoying.

A little over a month ago I wrote this post, sharing my horrible experience with Genesis dealership who broke the engine air filter compartment and refused to take accountability and offered to fix it for $1k.

The good news is that they eventually fixed it for free.

The bad news is that it took me about 3 weeks of back and forth with the Genesis corporate advisor who WASN'T able to come up with any resolution, apologized and wished me luck.

As a result, I've sent an email to the Hyundai leadership team, including a link to my previous post and explaining how a $200 dollar repair has cost them a ton of negative press and how the dealership experience is echoed by multiple people across the internet.

Within a few hours of sending that email, and an executive assistant reached out to me, asking for more details and promising to help out. Eventually, he disappeared as well, so I followed the advice of the community and sent the Dealership Director the official demand letter via certified mail, and duplicated its content via email.

Only after that happened, the dealership folks responded to that email, saying that they've received permission from the corporate to replace the broken engine air filter compartment.

It only took them a month of lies, gaslighting and refusals, complaint to the leadership team and a formal demand letter explaining how I'd have to go to small claims court OVER A 200 DOLLAR PART THEY BROKE DURING THE SERVICE.

Thankfully, it was fixed, but it was definitely my last visit, I'll be bringing the car to independent stores for service, except for warranty related issues (hopefully I wouldn't need to go through that).

Anyways, I wanted to share this email as a data point for those of you going through similar nightmares to let you know it's still possible to make things right, even if the corporate advisor isn't able to help at the beginning. It's a shame we have to go through these steps, but at least, they fixed it for free...

While playing soccer 3 weeks ago, slipped and fell on the ground and apparently hurt my knee.

Didn't have too big of a pain initially and continued playing. In the next couple of days it was pretty painful to walk the stairs, apart from that, no other symptoms (no swelling, no bruising, walking on a flat surface was Ok).

The pain went away after the first week, but then keep returning on random moments throughout second and now third week. Mostly when I'm walking downstairs/downhill, I can feel a relatively low but annoying pain in that area between the fingers (1.5/10).

I could also feel a little unpleasant feeling in that area when waking up over the last 2 days.

It doesn't look like it's something major as the pain is relatively mild and went away initially, but I'm now getting a little worried so that it doesn't turn into chronic pain.

Having a high deductible plan, I'm curious if I should go see a doctor and spend $500+, or let it rest for a couple more days and see what's happening? Could it be a pinched nerve or something?
