Crossbar/Roof Rack Advice Needed - 2021 Impreza Sedan

I am in need of crossbar setup/buying advice for my 2021 Subaru Impreza Sedan.

Context:

My needs are
- Increased cargo capacity
- Transport snowboards
- Transport bikes
- Cool rooftop awning (?)

Not necessarily all at once of course.

I'm not looking for a flush fit, as I would like the maximum possible space and load capacity. I do not mind hangover.

I get 40% off all Yakima and Thule products.

Questions:

All that being said, would love to hear/see pics of how everyone else has set up crossbars and roof racks on their Imprezas.

- Any benefit to flush fit bars that outweighs the decrease in capacity?
- Brands you recommend other than Yakima or Thule that will come out cheaper after discount?
- Is a front crossbar fairing necessary to cut wind noise?
- What cargo baskets do you use, and is there a better alternative to a basket for transporting your gear?

Thank you in advance!

2021 Impreza Sedan- realistic offroad capabilities/mods

I am an avid enjoyer of the outdoors and want to be able to access remote camping spots with my 21' Impreza Sedan.

It is bone stock at the moment, and is about at its limit with regards to clearance on many forest service roads.

Obviously, this is not meant to be a serious off-road/overlanding vehicle. However, I am wondering what modifications are recommended beyond skid plates and a lift for my situation.

-How tall of a lift to keep it practical for highway use?
-Should I keep it on the stock wheels and increase tire wall?
-Is front engine skid plate more necessary than a rear differential plate?
-Any brush guards that are recommended specifically for the Impreza?

Thank you in advance.

My first 2011's! So incredibly happy.

I picked up this beautiful Staccato CS as my very first 2011 earlier this week... I loved it so much that I decided that not even a week later I needed a full size 2011.

Picked up the Kimber 2k11 Comp earlier today and could not be happier.

They are like nothing I have ever owned or experienced. The slide, the trigger, the elegance of the 2011 platform... opens up a whole new world within this hobby of guns that I already love so much.

I am overwhelmed with joy. I got great deals on both too, which is just a cherry on top. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to own these beautiful pieces of art.

Just had to share this happy moment with you all. Thank you for reading.

Brace options for budget Honey Badger?

Budget honey badger build is coming along, but I am stuck on the brace.

Any braces that you all recommend that would look great on her?

Thoughts on keeping with the "honey badger" aesthetic and going for a PDW style brace, or going crazy and doing a folding brace?

Let me know!

Help needed!!! TW: HORRIFICALLY MARRED BRASS DEFLECTOR

While I (unobligated young man) was showing my flawless (unfired) Geissele URGI 14.5 (bottom in image) to a PSA shooting plebeian (hard working father of four) at the range today, i tried shooting a few rounds down range out of my URGI for the first time. It was so loud and I didn't like the bangs..

And the worst part? It made horrific deep gashes on my brass deflector!!! I spent three hours cleaning and oiling the whole thing, but I couldn't seem to get the marks (gashes) off the brass deflector.
Is it still okay to post online????

Just in case it isn't, I didn't hesitate to get an unfired replacement URGI 14.5 in case people on Reddit/instagram see my horrifically marred brass deflector. Also got a super duty (top) while I was at it for safe measure.

I am so scared. What do I do? Do I need to just get rid of the first URGI now? OK to reuse attachments from old URGI, or do I need new ones??

/s

For real, pretty excited about the super duty. I've always wanted one. New URGI pickup is for a buddy, just thought it would be nice to photograph the family of Geissele's together. Pardon my antics.

Taurus Pocket Carry?

Just picked up this absolute POS Taurus M85 Ultralite (.38 spl) for $150. Despite the relatively rough reputation of the company, I am so excited. Nothing like a good beater gun.

I am looking for good pocket carry holster recommendations. How are Sticky Holsters?

Is there anyone that thinks a 10-11 lb DA pull is safe to carry loose? I personally prefer a covered trigger guard no matter what, but I'd love to have my mind changed.

Pardon my ignorance, I am new to pocket carry (and revolvers) so any advice is welcome. Revolver tips as well.

Nursing student EDC

Been loving variations of this lately!
No such thing as too many lights.

On body:
• Sig p365XL
• CRKT drifter
• POM Pepper spray
• Nitecore EDC37
• Sharpie S-gel (not pictured)

In Coach L-fold wallet:
• Apple AirTag
• Chinesium Card Multitool
• Durex Air

On keys:
• Griffin Pocket Tool XL
• Nitecore Tini-2
• Apple AirTag

The EDC37 is benched during the day, but at night you never know when you'll need 8k lumen. Mostly used for taking out the trash.

Legit check before I buy secondhand

I'm planning to purchase this off of a feller who states that this was formerly in California, which explains the glued folding stock. I just can't quite identify it, and the barrel looks odd... any insight?

Advice on Mono NV and Thermal Piggyback Setup

I am new to the NV world and I would love some guidance on a NV/thermal setup. Please correct me here if anything sounds wrong-

What I know:

To my understanding, the PVS-14 is hands down the best budget unit. I am not afraid to build it if needed, and I have 3d printing capabilities should the need arise. However it sounds like I should just keep an eye out on tacswap, gafs, and fb marketplace for a used gen 3 omni monocular as the best bang for my buck unit.

What I need opinions on:

I've always loved the idea of having thermal capabilities, but I've never known where to start when looking to balance it with NV. I already have a Razor 1-6 on my 14.5, and I was tossing around the idea of piggybacking/offsetting a thermal optic rather than getting a thermal mono because money.

My questions:

Are there any lighter weight thermal optics that would be appropriate to piggyback/offset?

Are there any limitations or redundancies of the piggyback/offset thermal optic that would be dealbreakers for you?

I've seen no threads or pictures of this setup before, any maybe that's for good reason... I'd just love to hear opinions.

If I am totally misguided here and should scrap the thermal idea, please let me know what you would do. TYIA
