Sorry to ask a question again so soon but. After doing a fresh install, I went to go edit the
Hypridle.conf so my computer wouldn’t go into screen lock so I could download a game overnight but it doesn’t appear to be working?

Okay so, due to my own mistakes I ended up needing to do a fresh install of Pika. The installer runs just fine but once I do the first reboot and go back to like get the install wizard and set my password and such. The computer has my locked on the login screen. The just press enter password method doesn’t work, neither does typing in pikaos as I’ve seen online, I don’t know what the problem is but I just wanna finish installing it so I can get back to using my laptop

Stupid header but couldn’t think of a better one. I wanted to play an explosives type build with the roleplay idea being that I was a sapper of sorts for an anti-business sort of anarchistic or revolutionary type faction. (Not that serious in truth I wanted freedom and to blow up capitalists) and I was wondering if the ex-convict could at least sort of get that idea across? I did renegade for a stealthy assassin type build and it was really fun but not the exact vibe? Could I pull it off with convict? Or would I be better off trying to remold the idea to fit like lawbringer or professor or something?

Has anyone experienced that new neighbor in act 2 when you buy the house? Is it interesting? Like worth doing?

So having finished the game as a mage (magic is so OP) I wanted to do a melee focused character and I’m torn between a sword and board knight or a sort of stealth assassin that uses bows and dual daggers. So I guess I’m just asking is there a general opinion on which one is stronger/more fun? There appear to be some really cool swords and shields but there is also some really fun bows and daggers so. What do people think?

So I only recently (as in like maybe early this year or very late last year) started watching gl’s and keeping up with them so I’m still pretty. Not as well versed as other folks but I think we thinking about series I’ve seen so far that actually feel like they live up to the hype I see for them online (at least in my opinion, everyone feels however they feel and that is okay) also I don’t really have the strongest qualification for what counts as strong hype so if you see something you don’t think was very hyped uh, I’m sorry?

Clairebell: wow this series was so good, maybe I’m just a sucker for a good crime/prison story but this was really fantastic

Whale Store XOXO: I see this one a lot with regard to green flag type recommendations and I think it still holds my top spot for overall healthiest couple I’ve seen so far. Really adorable little series

4elements The Earth: so I’m not fully caught up with all the cousins stories but out of the 2 I have completed (this one and Water) this one is my favorite. I know that’s literally only half the list but I’m almost down with Air and I think Earth will still be my favorite. Personal bias I guess, I just love this type of relationship

Oh and idk if it was hyped but I wanna shout out Runaway. I just really love genre fiction (fantasy and horror and sci fi) and like I wanna see more genre type GL’s, even if it’s more relaxed on the romantic elements. I just like seeing lesbians in stories even if that romantic aspect isn’t the exact focus

Okay so I was interested in this series because the idea of “the reason we’re doing a romcom is to help the protags lesbian sister be happy and free” was super adorable but like. I’m sorry if this is a bit serious but as a trans woman myself I’m feeling a little off with Kinosaki. I know the story doesn’t seem to explicitly state Kinosaki is trans but the whole “I con people and am willing to dress up as a girl to scam dudes” borders pretty heavily on some nasty cliches and stereotypes. So I’ll just ask up front, is the story kinder than what I am afraid of? Because I really enjoyed the first episode.

So how worth it is playing Awakening? On the one hand I want to continue the adventures of my character, on the other hand I’m really excited to try out other characters and builds and choices so like. How good is Awakening really? Will my journey feel incomplete without it?

Is it just me or does Soris seem a bit overly bitter at a city elf warden after Unrest in the Alienage? All he says afterwards is just like “what’s it like to always win?” Like idk. I could understand if he was just upset about his wife (after all you don’t see her in the house when the quest is finished so I assume it was too late) but he doesn’t even bring that up. Just kinda feels like when you leave he calls you his hero and when you come back to help he’s like jealous or bitter. Or am I just reading into it wrong?

I feel like the game missed a real opportunity to have your first part of the Fade be unique based on your origin. Sure seeing a fake Duncan and all that makes some sense but imagine a Cousland being offered their family again, or a city elf getting a chance to have a happy marriage. Idk. It feels like the role play chance of feeling actually tricked is missing here if that makes sense

Hi, so I’ve been trying to install a respec mod (I want Morrigan as a spirit healer and not a shapeshifter) but all the various mods I’ve found like 3 or 4 different versions of respec all are dazip files and like I guess it’s a problem with my wine or something but no mod manager or updater or anything seems to want to work properly. Does anyone know a respec option that just uses the Override folder cause I’ve gotten mods like that to work easily enough

So I’m finally taking the plunge after messing around in BG3 and playing DOS2. I want to play as Lohse and I want to have Sebille (and probably romance her) and then I’m also thinking Fane so that leaves me with a sort of melee slot. (I know combat is super customizable I’m just trying to plan basic party roles here) I’m thinking either Red Prince or Beast. I’ve heard Red Prince has a fantastic story and that Beast is pretty boring, but also I know Sebille can negatively interact with Red Prince quest stuff. I’m sure there are ways to work around this in the game but I just for my first time want a bit more of a straight forward experience. Is beast really THAT boring? Is he at least fun to have a long for a first playthrough?

So for people who have done a bardlock did you take the 2 levels or warlock earlier or a little later? I know level 6 is when College of Lore gets some really nice stuff, but I do like the idea of having some eldritch blast earlier rather than later? Maybe 1 bard then 2 lock then rest bard? Or 3 bard to unlock cutting words and then 2 lock and rest bard?

So each origin combination has a free ability they get and I’m wondering, does it matter in the long run if you don’t lean into that? Like I wanna do human noble but as a duel wielding warrior. Is that basically just a waste of a free shield bash? Or does it like really not matter in the grand scheme of things

I think Deadfire’s generally funnier bits and (somewhat) lighter overall tone really fits in my head if I just imagine what a weight of the Watcher’s shoulders it is to have finally worked out all that ancient soul shit from the first game. Like. Damn I’d probably be cracking more jokes after finally clearing something that had been bothering me since the times of not Atlantis.
