The press is afforded a near sacrosanct privilege and protection to report even by armies during war; to use that privilege to detain civilians is to desecrate the very freedom that protects journalism. Do not show these lapdogs any mercy from here on!

Safest cars in India. Is Brezza and Punch EV now the perfect city cars?

Tata needs to up their game. And bring pedestrian safe cars with softer bumpers. Nissan Tekton is ranked No.15 and ommited by idiots of team Rushlane

My Protest Update and Insights.

I went to the protest today. (Again) The crowd is massive. Never seen such footfall. It is at par with Farmers Protest/ NRC, maybe way more and way more diverse. Diverse in both economic and cultural sense. I saw families visiting with kids like its a pleasure outing in the night and I saw student outfits across the spectrum regimented and working tirelessly without rest or retreat.

Met a crap ton of cockroaches, met a queen cockroach Neha Bora and had a long conversation with her. She was surprisingly curious about our subreddit. She’s been on a hunger strike for 23 days and looks very skinny now, but she still has an incredible amount of energy.

After talking to her, she didn’t come across as the “anti-national radical” she’s often made out to be. She was more patriotic than many ultra nationalistic scoundrels I have served with. She came across as articulate, confident, and genuinely committed to what she believes.

The kind of person you could imagine leading the country one day as Prime Minister whether or not you agree with her politics.

Also met Geetanjali ma’am. Planning to meet Dipke tomorrow. And Saurav Das has agreed to do an AMA.

The crowd was massive and the vibe was honestly amazing. Everyone seemed excited, well-fed, and full of energy. There was food coming in from everywhere. What struck me the most was watching strangers from different parts of the country ordering food for complete strangers at the protest.

From what I personally saw, the protest felt completely organic. I didn’t see anything that suggested some hidden Soros or China backed operation. It just looked like a lot of angry, committed students who genuinely cared enough to spend their time here.

I kept forgetting where I’d parked my car, so I ended up walking in and out through different entry points several times. Every single time, people were helpful. I didn’t run into any pickpockets, didn’t witness any molestation nor did I get molested myself despite the thick crowd and dark alleys and I didn’t see delivery workers stealing food despite the sheer amount that was arriving without any audit or monitoring.

The only thing that genuinely worried me was the crowd density and littering. At a few points, I thought there was a medium to high risk of a stampede if something went wrong.

Once yesterday passed , the place somehow felt more relaxed and enjoyable. It almost stopped feeling like a protest and started feeling like a community space, a place where people felt safe to sit, eat, talk, argue, laugh, and help each other.
I went there expecting tension. I came back thinking about the generosity. Whatever your politics are, it was one of the most unexpectedly wholesome public gatherings I’ve been to.

I saw IITians, I met senior H grade scientists from institute of nuclear medicine and allied sciences, I met tenured professors from DU and JNU, I met indian army veterans, I met Marathi kids, konkani kids, Punjabi nihangs, I met kukis and meiteis, I met Nagas from Ao tribe, I met a shit ton of mallus, I met a shit ton of bongs, I met Kashmiri pandits and I met Kashmiri muslims, I met extremely helpful dudes from Purvanchal Uttar Pradesh (Balia District). I met former ABVP kids with placards saying “please” resign Prashan ji, I met a French woman from Goa with a chunni over her face who feared deportation even though her visa is expiring in a month. I met India for the first time since NRC protest.

I was offered food so many times that I Dont think I have ever been fed like this. There was a lot of Punjabi dudes serving very healthy vegetarian pulao to every tired boy and girl who was shy to ask for food.

TL; DR

Download google maps offline since only Airtel has range, jammers are active around tolstoy road.

No one is tracking you. Delhi police is exhausted and even their photographer has gone home.

Go for the protest at any time of your choosing except during bright sunny hours. It's fun in the evening. So many sights and demos and caricatures to behold.

People from every social class and sect are there. I saw extremely rich kids and extremely poor kids.

PS. Cops are chill and we offered food to them and they politely refuses. No government surveillance ongoing unless you are on the stage, so you Dont have to wear a bloody mask .

Please Dont litter and please say thank you to those highly qualified upper class kids from IIT Delhi holding the garbage bags and following you around, and please say a bigger thank you to those minimum wage rag pickers when you see them taking over those garbage bags from those kids.

Say thank you to those JNU and Jamia kids who are fanning you while you stand in that heat in long queues to enter the protest site, their tireless crowd control is actually preventing stampedes and making the protest site culturally and gastronomically enjoyable like its a 24x7 national town fair

Being offended isn’t evidence that you’re right, it’s evidence that you have feelings. Just because you’re offended doesn’t mean you’re right

Republic of India is among the only 8 piss poor countries on the planet where marital rape is legal.

We have kept marital rape decriminalised with not even a small penalty under DVA, only few Muslim countries have similar provisions like Saudi Arabia and 4 other failed states who are in minority out of a vast majority of 192 countries where marital rape is recognised as rape and statutory punishment follows.

Gadkari must resign for letting his kids profit but India should go forward with Ethanol. Change my Mind

Source: met a clerk today from National Biofuel Coordination Committee

I’m not from BJ party IT cell.

India’s ethanol transition should be viewed as an opportunity, not a threat.

To ensure that existing vehicle owners are not left behind, the government will pressure manufacturers to provide low cost conversion kits and sensors for E10 and E20 vehicles, enabling compatibility with ethanol blends up to E85.

In 10 years. Vehicle owners will continue to have fuel choices between E30 and E100 after E20 vehicles have been phased out in a decade.

Currently India only has a single flex fuel car (Wagon R) and one E27 ready car (Victoris)

Tata Punch, Creta Flex, Fronx Flex will all launch soon with 100% compatibility for ethanol blend capability of anywhere between E0 to E100.

E0 would be pointless as almost every vehicle in the currently in the country run on e20

This will reduce pollution in the long run and our unhealthy dependence on prehistoric plankton puree.

Please identify yourself as atheist in the next National Census and not as agyayvaadi Hindu or Ex Muslim.

please boldly state that you are atheist and when they ask you your religion of your parents refuse to answer them.

you are only legally required to answer 33 questions and religion is a complementary question

As long as caste pride exists, caste discrimination will prevail. Change my mind.

In Kerala and Tamil Nadu, there is upper caste guilt, which is unheard of in North Indian states, why is that?
