Ted Brings Back dayplayer culture

One thing I really love about Ted: the amount of day players and small supporting roles.

There are so many random people showing up for a scene or two, and it makes the world feel so much more alive. I feel like this has become way less common since COVID, with productions relying more on a smaller recurring cast.

Ted really feels like it has that old-school TV approach where even minor characters get to exist and make the world feel bigger.

Am I the only one who noticed this?

Do Georgians generally dislike tourists, or am I misunderstanding the culture?

I spent 5 days in Tbilisi as a tourist and I was honestly a little surprised by how little interaction I had with people.

I’m a very friendly person and I smile a lot, so I usually try to make eye contact, smile, say hello, etc. But I noticed that kiosk owners, McDonald’s employees, people working in shops, and even random people in public generally seemed quite serious or even somewhat bitter. I rarely got a smile back or any kind of small interaction. Instead i get often "the resting bitch face"

Did you always want more than one child?

Did you always want to have more than one child, no children at all, or several children?

I grew up as an only child, and I was alone quite a lot. My mother had to work a lot, and my father lived far away, so I often wished I had a sibling growing up.

Because of that, I always told myself that if I ever had children, I’d love to have more than one. I think it would be wonderful for them to have each other and be able to support one another throughout their lives.

I’m also thinking about the future. My mother will probably need care in the coming years, and it makes me realize how much easier certain things can be when you have siblings to share responsibilities and support each other.

And honestly, when I’m old, I’d like to have family around me too, not because I expect my children to take care of me, but because I like the idea that they could look out for each other and that I wouldn’t be completely alone.

For those of you who have siblings or grew up as an only child: Did that influence how many children you wanted to have yourselves?

I really hope Chelsea is doing okay ❤️

I heard that Chelsea has been struggling with her mental health or depression because of all the hate comments she received some time ago. Anyway, I watched the Obsession Box Short today, and it honestly made me really sad. There were moments where her expression gave me major “Hiding the Pain Harold” vibes, like she was trying to smile through the pain. I really hope I'm just reading too much into it and that she's actually doing better. Am I the only one who noticed this?

I got angry at my best friend after He refused to use a festival ticket I bought him

I (early 30s) have had a dream for years of going to a music festival with my two best friends. Not even because of the lineup, but because of the experience itself: camping together, drinking beer, doing stupid stuff, and making memories while we're still young enough to enjoy it.

One of my friends has always avoided festivals. Every time I brought it up, he would come up with a reason not to go. He mostly listens to German schlager and other music that is completely different from what is played at festivals like this. Because of that, when I first asked him if he wanted to come, he said no.

The thing is, I've always considered him a bit of a cheapskate. He is very reluctant to spend money on experiences, so I genuinely thought that a big part of the reason he didn't want to go was the cost. My idea was that if I bought him a ticket as a birthday gift, that obstacle would be gone and maybe he would finally give it a chance.

The ticket cost me almost $100.

To my surprise, my other best friend actually agreed to go, even though he's usually difficult to convince as well. I was really excited because it finally looked like this thing I'd wanted for years was actually going to happen.

Today I created a group chat so we could start planning the trip. That's when my friend told me that while he appreciated the gift, he still wasn't going. He said he doesn't care about the artists and doesn't want to spend another $200 or so on camping gear, food, drinks, and everything else.

I was honestly shocked. Not because of the money I spent on the ticket, but because it felt like he wasn't even willing to make the slightest effort for something that was important to me. In my mind, good friends occasionally do things outside their comfort zone for each other. I've personally joined plenty of activities that didn't interest me at first, and some of them ended up becoming amazing experiences.

What frustrates me even more is that instead of trying something new, he wants to go to the exact same local village festival he goes to every single year. Same people, same music, same routines. I just wanted us to create some new memories together before life gets in the way even more.

I tried to convince him, but he wouldn't budge. Eventually I got emotional, called him a narcissist, and we got into a huge argument. He ended up blocking me.

Looking back, I know calling him names wasn't the right move. But I still can't understand how someone can refuse to even give something a chance when a close friend has been talking about it for years and even bought them a ticket.

AITA for getting angry after my best friend refused to use a festival ticket I bought him?

My dad passed away on 12.11.2024. Since then, I’ve basically handled everything related to the estate completely on my own. I kicked out tenants who weren’t paying rent, found a new buyer for the house, organized and partially did renovations, dealt with the city, went to multiple notary appointments, wrote countless letters, made endless phone calls, and regularly drove 250 km back and forth to take care of things. On top of that, I worked full time the entire time and even put about 7,000€ of my own money into this.

My sister? She did nothing. Literally nothing. She stayed at home, hasn’t worked for two years, and instead of helping, she’s been dealing with her own issues and even piling up more debt.

The house was finally sold on december and last month we both received 30,000€. I asked her for 5,000€ from that, which she gave me, but clearly said that wasn’t everything yet because some banks hadn’t responded and more payments were still coming.

Now, a month later, I told her it’s time for the second round. I only needed another 2,500€ to finally close everything and be done with this chapter.

Now suddenly she “can’t pay anymore.” She claims she only has around 8,000€ left because she needs it for taxes… which aren’t even due for another 13 months. Instead, she used most of the money to pay back private debts and apparently also because she caused a fire in her basement while smoking.

I tried to be reasonable. I asked if she could pay in installments or find any kind of solution. She just ignores me. Completely.

What frustrates me the most is not even the money itself anymore. It’s that after everything I’ve done, after carrying this entire situation for over a year, this could have finally been the moment where it’s over. Where I get some kind of closure and peace.
