Need help in landlord-tenant situation.

Hey guys,

My rent is 20k for a 2bhk apartment in standalone building, deposit is 45k. I am staying here since last 4 years now. The first year the rent was 12k and owner didn't make an agreement. I drafted a rental agreement and shared with him to sign and share, but he didn't do that. Next year, again I asked him for rental agreement, but he didn't respond and even I forgot about it. Now it's 4 years, we don't have agreement, but he simply increased the rents from 12 to 15, 15 to 18 and 18 to 20k. Since the place is good and I liked it, so didn't counter him for the usual 5% hike every year. Also, there are many other issues with the owner (like all other landlords) of not responding properly for any issues faced in apartment. Now I'm planning to leave the apartment by August end, and we have a notice period of 2 months (he told that at beginning). Now as per the thing, he will deduct one month rent and return the remaining deposit while vacating the flat. So he would be returning 25k, but I'm not willing to pay him last 2 months and even don't want the 5k back. So, in July month, instead of informing him about vacating in August, I'm planning to delay paying the rent with some reasons and if he asks more then I will say, anyway you have the deposit. And in august also I don't want to pay the rent. Basically I want to escape the one month rent deduction in the name of painting, maintenance, etc and anyway the agreement is not in place (fyi, even I didn't get the appartment in new paint when previous tenant vacated, I asked the owner, he said they stayed only 6 months, however I asked previous tenants and they stayed more than a year). Pls suggest how do I proceed with this. Now don't tell me it's not legal and all. Everyone here knows how the landlords try to extort the tenants, and my landlord has been doing that to all the other people in the building (he owns the complete building and rented all flats). So pls suggest how to go with this situation, any kind of suggestion is appreciated.Tia.

Unable to use 5G with unlimited voice pack + 195 data pack. Any workaround?

Hi everyone,

I am currently using the unlimited voice call recharge pack of ₹1748, which is valid till Dec 2026. Along with that, I have recharged with the ₹195 data pack.

The issue is that I am unable to use 5G on my phone. From what I understand, 5G works only with certain active recharge plans, and since my main plan is already long-term, I’m confused about what recharge I should do now to enable 5G.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? Is there any workaround or minimum recharge that can activate unlimited 5G without affecting the existing plan?

Please suggest. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to get interiors done for my 2BHK and recently came across Reminiscent Interiors. Before finalizing anything, I wanted to check if anyone here has firsthand experience with them.

How was your overall experience working with them?

How is the quality of materials and finish?

Did they stick to timelines and budget?

Any major pros/cons I should be aware of?

Would really appreciate honest feedback before I make a decision. Thanks in advance!
