How do we feel about lagree?

I take lagree once a week, not as a strength training replacement, but rather a way to work on some strength training in a setting that’s enjoyable for me. I hear a lot from people that it’s too much time under tension and too tense for the body, how do yall feel about it?

Was your pwBPD extremely appearance-oriented

I’m only asking because I wanna know if it’s a common thing? My person w/ BPD was extremely image conscious. Often accusing others of copping her, when in fact, she would frequently mimic other’s clothing etc. she was also obsessed with designer clothes and jewelry.

Genuine question about trad wives online

I’m so late to this, but I recently read the times article about ballerina farm. And it got me thinking, if this woman is being abused and controlled (which I believe she most likely) this article likely made it sooooo much worse for her. Which as a woman, I do take issue with.

My question is how do you talk about trad wives and interview them/platform them? without making their situation worse, I don’t agree with the life she’s living, and I do see the issue with it. But as a woman, I don’t want to add to the pile on.

Shekina would be so interesting if she wasn’t so insecure and crazy

Her upbringing was super interesting and her various career shifts/being a young mom, being able to really articulate and all that. I honestly wonder what’s wrong with her, she weaponizes therapy language to get herself out of apologizing. It makes no sense to me why she’s the way she is, it’s like she refuses to actually work on herself. She’ll work on anything but her soul.

What was your worst experience with an instructor?

I’ll start

I was 5 months post partum and had just finished an extremely expensive 10 class PT package in the same studio (Pilates) the instructor was a dream. She got me back into shape slowly and suggested I transition in to group classes. I took classes with the same instructor as well as the other instructor in the studio, who I didn’t take to as much.

Between breastfeeding and being a first time mom I didn’t have much time but I still try to make it to Pilates. I booked an 9am class and had arranged for my husband to be with the baby so I can go have an hour to myself. At that point the only time I had to myself was Pilates. The night before the class the baby WAS SCREAMING ALL NIGHT I got barely two hours of sleep but I still wanted to go to class. I get there two minutes late because I was a zombie. It was just me and this other woman, the instructor had us do skaters standing on the reformer with two red springs (heavy). Me and the woman next to me were visibly struggling and I had just had a c section 5 months prior (not a lot of time to recover) I asked if I could reduce the resistance and she said “this class is pure precision, maybe if you’re feeling like it’s too difficult for you, you can take a class more suitable for you” all while looking at me with what felt like annoyance and disgust. Mind you, they only offer about 5 to 6 classes a day and I have a baby.

I cried in the car, never took class with her again.

What’s the deal with natural fiber activewear

I’ve been hearing a lot of girls at the studio basically insisting on switching to exclusively natural fibers for activewear. I have a cotton set from mate the label; and it’s nice when I’m in hot yoga but I can’t image it holding up otherwise.

In general, I don’t demonize plastics but I haven’t done enough research on the topic. I was wondering if anyone here can give any insight about if synthetics in activewear are genuinely harmful and if you’ve tried natural fiber activewear.

Is recovery from BPD possible

This person is no longer in my life, she was a friend/collaborator and we had a falling out. But I often think about if it’s possible for her to recover.

What circumstances have helped you as an individual with BPD? Was it therapy? An intervention? What shifted that made you want to gain awareness and recover? Was it a connection to spirituality?

Toxic friendship/business partnership with someone who potentially has BPD

I’m writing here to seek support and try to move on from this person. This is something I frequently bring up in therapy and I’m trying to work past, but I now have so much resentment towards this person for how I was treated and I also have resentment towards myself for allowing myself to be treated this way.

I want to preface this by saying, this person was never officially diagnosed. I am simply speculating that she may have BPD, because it’s the only way I can explain the behavior.

For context, I had shared an idea for a product I had with her and she immediately suggested we go into business together. Mind you, at that point I didn’t really know this person but she had access to a market that I didn’t have access to and it seemed reasonable. Anyway, this began a 5 year long partnership where she presented a lot of signs of what I think is BPD

- When she comes into a space, one of the first things she does is identify an enemy. A person who looked at her wrong, who said something wrong, who did something wrong. Just a singular person to fixate on.

- She would frequently have outburst at hotel staff for doing the wrong thing, it was almost toddler-like the way she would throw fits about it. This was confusing because the next day she would identify a hotel staff member and then tip them generously

- She was very image-oriented, would only wear designer, often spending more than her means

- At some point, she had ordered thousands of dollars worth of material from a vendor we’ve never worked with without approval or consulting anyone, leaving us to cover an insane bill

- She found theta healing, and I have to say, this did improve her overall attitude with others, despite the insane cult like nature of the whole thing. When she got diagnosed with thyriod cancer, there was period where she would try to heal it naturally and it was very difficult to deal with because she would throw herself into working demanding unrealistic outcomes. Thankfully she got her thyroid removed and all is well with her health as far as I know. During her cancer I was very very accommodating and almost self sacrificial because I didn’t want to upset her at all, because she was sick.

- she would frequently accuse team members of plotting against her, and favoring me.

- There were several emotional outbursts over really minor conflicts about work stuff, she would get so angry over such minor details

- she was often mistrusting of people and their motivations

- She was often very envious of successful peers, to the point where she would burn those bridges

- There was one instance that stands out to me: I have a very successful work friend, her and this person have never met. I one day get a call from this person accusing my work friend of being bitchy to her in a public space. I’m thrown off, because it doesn’t sound right at all. I later call my successful work friend and she is literally in the airport in a different state. So basically she saw someone assumed it was this person then idk made something up I guess

- there was no real stable identity, she copied a lot of different people she admired but also hated

- When she tries to gossip about someone with you and you don’t reciprocate, she starts telling you how they’ve said some not so pleasant things about you.

- I would often get phone calls where I would have to talk her off a ledge because someone did something awful to her

- she would often hire and fire staff because she suspected something super obscure was off

- she had what I can only describe as a paranoia of being copied. She frequently accused people of “stealing” her ideas. Dressing like her, buying things and buys and traveling to places she traveled to.

- she has admitted to suicide attempts when she was a teenager

- when she disagrees with someone, it’s almost like she becomes a complete toddler in the argument, either shutting down or mocking them

It all came crashing down when she revealed to me that she took thousands of dollars out of our joint business account to funnel the money into another business of hers that wasn’t doing so well. She only revealed this to me after I had asked for account statements for accounting purposes, she resisted giving me the statements and then told me what she had done.

I first reacted calmly saying we will speak about how this should be approached later, a day after I gave a very reasonable, you can’t do this again and you need to take accountability for your choices. Which I think put her at ease.

Next day she gets me on a zoom meeting to read what looked like a two page letter accusing me of doing something similar prior (which wasn’t true) and it was a bunch of how dare you non-sense about how all our team members “side with” me and how if I wanted to preserve the friendship between us I would basically allow her to buy me out of the company with no resistance or negotiation. Mind you, I was 7 months pregnant at this point. My take is she wanted to abandon me, before I abandoned her. Because it was off, she was so offended that I had accused her of taking money out without approval (which she did) and she was also being kind of agressive but all while saying, If I wanted to preserve the friendship we have, I would go about this a certain way, a way that only benefitted her.

To provide slightly more context, this person had a difficult childhood, she has a really hard time maintaining friendships, especially with other women.

I just want to know if anyone went through anything similar with a person in their life and how do you move on from it?
