Fundraiser for the Kidney Recovery Foundation! Looking for volunteers
Calling all great guys in the Detroit/Metro Detroit area!
I've been working with our popcorn queen, Whitney, to help grant write/fundraise for the Arana Kidney Recovery Foundation. I am part of an upcoming fundraising event that will help the cause directly, and they are in need of volunteers.
Event details:
*"Battle of the Cover Bands" charity event
*Each competing band picks a charity to represent.
*Attendees get voting tokens with their tickets; the votes convert directly into cash donations for the bands chosen charity
I'm in a White Stripes cover band (Sapphic Nation Army) and we made it to the semifinals this year. We have picked AKRF as our charity and want to raise as much as possible!
Volunteer info:
*End of October (exact date is TBD because the original venue fell through)
*Will take place in either downtown Detroit or Royal Oak (pending venue)
*Volunteers are needed for taking tickets, helping with equipment changeover between sets, and working the wine/beer bar
