This thing is ridiculously bulky, and hits WAY too hard in return. This is possibly the best bulky physical attacker ever, given its immunity to burns (assuming it keeps thermal exchange, which I hope it does), its' sky-high defenses, and its ability to become even bulkier against physical attacks with snow actually works really well.
Some defensive calcs show that it has excellent survivability, being neigh unkillable on the physical end with snow support:
252+ Atk Kingambit Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Baxcalibur-Mega in Snow: 92-110 (41.4 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Salamence-Mega Dragon Claw vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Baxcalibur-Mega in Snow: 98-116 (44.1 - 52.2%) -- 15.2% chance to 2HKO
252 Atk Staraptor-Mega Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Baxcalibur-Mega in Snow: 128-152 (57.6 - 68.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Charizard-Mega-Y Weather Ball (100 BP Fire) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Baxcalibur-Mega in Sun: 148-175 (66.6 - 78.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Raichu-Mega-Y Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Baxcalibur-Mega: 158-186 (71.1 - 83.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
And, offensively, it's a force to be reckoned with
252+ Atk Baxcalibur-Mega Glaive Rush vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Charizard-Mega-Y: 169-201 (110.4 - 131.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Baxcalibur-Mega Glaive Rush vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Charizard-Mega-Y: 169-201 (91.3 - 108.6%) -- 50% chance to OHKO (In order to survive, Charizard now cannot even run max speed.)
252+ Atk Baxcalibur-Mega Icicle Crash vs. 252 HP / 120+ Def Sinistcha: 156-186 (87.6 - 104.4%) -- 25% chance to OHKO
252+ Atk Baxcalibur-Mega Icicle Crash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Raichu-Mega-Y: 160-189 (118.5 - 140%) -- guaranteed OHKO
With an attack boost, this gets way worse:
+1 252+ Atk Baxcalibur-Mega High Horsepower vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Kingambit: 190-224 (91.7 - 108.2%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Baxcalibur-Mega High Horsepower vs. 252 HP / 96 Def Incineroar: 218-258 (107.9 - 127.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Baxcalibur-Mega Glaive Rush vs. 252 HP / 176+ Def Farigiraf: 205-243 (90.3 - 107%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO
M-porygon (normal)
Ability: Overclocked (special attacks deal 1.5x damage but have 33% recoil)
Stats: 85 / 95 / 85 / 165 / 90 / 115
This would certainly be very good against the current meta, but probably not (completely) game-breaking. Normal is not a good offensive typing, and this thing is basically dead meat to Raichu-Y, and walled by ghost types. It's relatively low bulk also makes it kind of bad, because the recoil it suffers after one move makes it very easy to revenge kill.
Calcs show that this thing spamming hyper voice is indeed a very threatening spread move, dealing about 30% to things such as max SpDef Archaludon and max SpDef milotic, with hyper beam being an extremely threatening nuke in the same realm as floette's light of ruin, OHKO-ing archaludon if it has no SpDef investment and having a 31.3% chance to OHKO max SpDef farigiraf. I can see this hypothetical pokemon being very threatening and possibly even a top meta threat, as it does the same thing that M-zard and M-floette do while being faster,
Preface: I'm an autistic guy who pretty much spent all of high school learning how to socialize instead of socializing. During my time in high school, no girl (that I ever knew of) showed any interest in me.
I'm visiting my friends in Taiwan right now, and, when we went to visit his grandpa in the hospital, a nurse straight-up looked at me and said "I haven't seen a guy as hot as you since National Taiwan University" (she looked about mid-40s to me).
on another note my friend (asian)'s mom keeps calling me (white) handsome in front of her own son
dinner is a gigantic piece of fried chicken I bought for the equivalent of about 75 cents from the night market. It even comes with seasoning!
Hey yall. I've come to recently realize that I have a bit of an >!emetophobia!< problem, and it's been really messing things up in a bunch of ways for me. As it stands right now, most of my waking hours are either on the computer trying to distract myself from my own thoughts, or trying to act normal while spiraling out of control.
In terms of coping measures, I tried CBT and it didn't work because anxiety usually isn't a logical problem. I tried propranolol, but that also didn't do very much and made me really sleepy every time I took it. Now I'm onto ACT, and it's showing some signs of promise but also feels far too exhausting for me to do, most of the time.
Therapist says ssri's might be the best option here, but I'm honestly nervous about taking those (GI issues, weight gain, emotional blunting, sexual dysfunction, etc.) and those kind of feel like admitting defeat (or, like trading one life-altering set of challenges for another).
I guess what I'm trying to say is, what worked for you guys in getting your whole life back? I had just finished figuring out all the other challenges I was born with (autism lol) when this showed up and I feel very out of control.
Hey, yall.
I was diagnosed with anxiety (emetophobia ughh) about 3 months ago, though I've really had things get worse in the past few weeks (still mostly functional but a significant fraction of my waking hours now suck). So far CBT therapy has been pretty useless and ACT therapy works, kind of, but has been very hard for me to implement. Because of this, my therapist thinks it might be a good idea to go on an ssri so I can actually accept and commit better.
Thing is, the side effects seem worrying to me, and there's three main options I'm weighing.
Don't take any meds, and deal with whatever degree of life disruption comes with that.
Take SSRIs, and deal with whatever life disruption comes from that.
Ask about other meds (my anxiety is nowhere near the point that benzos would be a smart idea, but I was going to ask about pregabalin / something else. I have already been prescribed propranolol before and it doesn't really do anything.)
"Because I drink it with tea leaves, I can consume the matcha itself"
Hey everyone,
Full disclosure, I will be seeing a medical professional about this soon, but I am specifically looking for other people who have struggled with the same issue that I do.
I have autism spectrum disorder and have dealt with some pretty typical issues stemming from that over the course of my life (namely, mild gastric problems cropping up all the time and high sensitivity to pain), but about a year ago, it seems like part of my "fight or flight" system lost the ability to turn off when it's supposed to. Stressful situations for me tend to cause short-term psychological stress (within the bounds of what's reasonable for someone with autism), but this gives way to a much longer period of "body anxiety" that goes on for 12-36 hours afterwards.
I would describe "body anxiety" as all of the physical symptoms of having high adrenaline, electrical sensations running from my brain down my neck, and this overwhelming feeling that something bad is going to happen. It feels terrible, and I have spent much of the past year teaching myself not to get more anxious from it (i.e. "It's all in your body, this is a broken stress response, not a real problem"), which is a tall order because it literally feels like my body is trying to warn me of something imminently dangerous.
Does anybody here experience similar problems, or know how to cope? I'm tired of having my next day be terribly uncomfortable because I got just a little bit too overwhelmed by something, or ran into something triggering unexpectedly.
