Moving to an apartment and I’m REALLY going to miss the weber, specifically vortex wings. How can I get close to the taste without a grill?

Got it for my dad for father’s day and we’ve been addicted. Moving out this week to another state to a place with no grills allowed..

High mileage 2019 X5 xDrive 40i - good idea?

I’m 28 and currently drive a 2019 Audi S5 with 60k miles that I’ve owned for the last 3 years. Before that I had a WRX STI and BRZ.

The S5 has been great, but it’s starting to feel cramped as I’ve recently taken up snowboarding as a hobby and have been doing more frequent road trips. I’m looking for a SUV with more space for snowboarding, road trips, and overall comfort while still having something enjoyable to drive. Ideally with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Heated Seats.

I’m considering a 2019 X5 xDrive40i with 75k miles for $25k from a BMW dealership. It has 2 owners, a clean Carfax, and no accidents. I landed on the X5 because I’ve heard great things about the B58 engine and honestly love the cognac interior.

My budget is around $30k, so I’m realistic that I’ll likely need to shop higher-mileage examples.

At $25k, does this sound like a good deal or am I missing something? What should I expect for maintenance and repair costs from 75k+ miles? Should I purchase a warranty from the dealership?

28, late to the game. what should I do next?

So far I’ve done two things this year. 1) Opened and maxed Roth IRA and HSA and put it in 50% VOO / 50% SPMO and 2) Increased my 401k contribution % from 8% to 15%.

What else should I do? Open a taxable brokerage and if so, how much money do I put in?

Breakdown:

Take home: $6k/month, expenses $4k/month

Checking: ~$28k

HYSA: ~$72k

Roth IRA: $15k

HSA: $6k

401(k): ~$48k

Debt: Student loans: $22,900 at 3.51–4.80%

Future 2027 expense: Need to have at least 25k cash for my wedding.

Future 2028 expense: Want to buy a house, but unsure of the process / how much I need to save for this

Nervous about parents + in laws meeting for first time during photoshoot post elopement?

My courthouse wedding is tomorrow at our city hall with a tight group (both of our parents, our siblings and 1 friend). We are still doing a traditional wedding but haven’t started planning yet and doing this for paperwork reasons but still want to make it special and my fiancée’s parents flew over from Asia.

I hired a photographer for 1.5 hours to capture the ceremony and take some photos afterwards, with some being group family photos, but I’m getting worried about the awkwardness of our families meeting for the first time and them just standing there watching us do a couple photo shoot. Any advice on how to make it smoother? Neither of our parents are social butterflies and also english isn’t the first language for my MIL

I’m 28, about to go 50% SPMO / 50% VOO for my Roth IRA and HSA, is anything wrong with that?

28 and just started Roth IRA and HSA. Need to allocate $20,000, what should I choose?

Started my Roth IRA on tax day last month and put in $7k last minute for 2025 and then will dump another $7.5k for 2026. And started $5k to HSA so $20k total.

How do feel about 80% VOO, 20% SMH (high risk) or 20% QQQM?

Beginner, does this allocation make sense for $20k investment?

28, Finally pulling the trigger on investing cash that’s been sitting idle. Splitting $20k across Roth IRA ($7,010 for 2025 + $7,500 for 2026) and HSA ($5,824). Also have \~$50k in my 401(k). No taxable brokerage yet.

Planned allocation for the $20K (Roth IRA and HSA):

• 70% VOO

• 20% SMH

• 10% VXUS

28 years old, long time horizon, want US heavy with a growth tilt and some non-U.S. exposure. Does this make sense or am I missing anything?

I'm 27 and just started my personal finance journey. My current breakdown is as follows:

Student Debt: $20K
HYSA: $100K
Checking: $20K
401K: $50K
Roth IRA: $7K (Just opened this, right before Tax Day)
HSA: $4K

Living expenses: $2K / month.
Net monthly pay: $6K / month.
Future expenses: Wedding in 2028, probably around $50K. House in 2029 / 2030.

Now I want to open a taxable brokerage, how much should I put in and what ETFs would you recommend I invest in?
