Is there demand for a curated feed of international opportunities in Nigeria?

Hey everyone,

I've been collecting international opportunities (volunteering, work, study, fellowships) from various sources over the past few months, and I've ended up with a pretty large personal archive.

I'm considering whether to make this collection more accessible to people who might benefit from it, especially students, fresh graduates, and anyone looking for mobility programs abroad.

Before I decide on the format, I wanted to ask:

  1. Would there be interest in a regularly updated, curated feed of international opportunities?
  2. What platforms do you actually check for this kind of thing? (LinkedIn, Facebook groups, email lists, Telegram, WhatsApp, etc.)
  3. What types of opportunities are hardest to find on your own?

I'm not selling anything just trying to figure out if there's a gap worth filling, and if so, how to fill it without making it feel like spam.

If there's genuine interest, I'll pick a format and share it properly. If not, I'll keep it personal.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

I made a Telegram channel for worldwide volunteering, work & study opportunities

Hey everyone!

I’ve started a Telegram channel where I share international opportunities I come across, mainly:

🌱 Volunteer & NGO opportunities
💼 Jobs, internships & work opportunities
🎓 Scholarships, study programs & fellowships
✈️ International programs and mobility opportunities
🌍 Opportunities open to people from different countries

The idea is simply to make these opportunities easier to discover instead of having to search through dozens of websites every day.

I’m especially trying to collect opportunities that are useful for students, recent graduates, young professionals, and people looking for international experience.

I’m sharing the channel here because I think it could be useful to people in this community. If promotional posts aren’t allowed here, please feel free to remove this post.

No paid service or anything complicated, just a channel for finding and sharing opportunities. You'll find channel in first comment.

Hope it helps someone find a good opportunity!

Transit visa problem

Hey everyone 🙏

I wanted to share a problem I've run into and see if anyone here can help.

I have a trip planned to Kuala Lumpur, and the itinerary includes a transit stop in Singapore where I need to change flights. Turns out Tunisian citizens need a visa to enter Singapore, even just for transit.

I contacted Singapore's MFA, and they told me visa matters fall under ICA (their immigration authority). To submit the application, there are basically two options:

  • Find someone based in Singapore (a citizen or PR) with a Singpass account who can submit the online application on my behalf
  • Or apply through the Singapore Embassy but the problem is there's no Singapore embassy in Tunisia! The nearest one they mentioned is in Cairo, Egypt.

This has made things a bit complicated, and I'm trying to find a solution before my travel date gets closer. So I wanted to ask:

  1. Has anyone here gone through the same situation (Singapore visa from Tunisia)?
  2. Do you know anyone in Singapore who could help submit the form for me? I'll prepare all the documents (passport copy, photo, etc.) and cover any fees.
  3. Or does anyone have another idea or workaround?

Really appreciate any help or even small pointers 🙏 Thanks in advance.

Looking for a cozy, affordable hotel in KL, any recommendations?

Planning a trip in Kuala Lumpur and trying to find a sweet spot between price and comfort. Looking for something moderate, not a hostel dorm but don't need 5 stars either. Ideally somewhere with decent service, good wifi, and a nice vibe to come back to after a long day out.

Location-wise, would love to be walkable to cafes, convenience stores, and ideally not too far from the tech/business areas. Proximity to the airport express would be a bonus too.

Anyone can recommend a place that ticked those boxes? Would love specific hotel names if you have them. 🙏

Has anyone done the full 90 days in Malaysia? How did you spend it?

Thinking of doing an extended stay in Malaysia on the visa-free 90 days and would love to hear from people who've actually done it. Where did you base yourself? Did you move around between cities or stick to one area? Any hidden gems, things worth staying longer for, or stuff you'd skip?

Also curious about the practical side, how was arrival/departure, did immigration ask much about your plans, and is 90 days actually enough to feel like you've scratched the surface?

Thanks 🙏

Tunisian travelers in Malaysia (KL)

Hello, I have a question regarding visa duration. Has anyone actually stayed the full 90 days in Malaysia?

Curious if any Tunisians (or others on similar passport tiers) have actually used the full 90-day visa-free allowance without issues. Did immigration ask questions on arrival about your plans/funds/return ticket? Any hassle on the way out?

Any tip would be a great help. Thanks 🙏

Got my visa via university pre-enrollment certificate, what happens if I don't actually enroll?

So I applied for my student visa using a pre-enrollment certificate from a university. Long story short, I'm now reconsidering whether I'll actually go through with the enrollment.

Anyone know if the visa stays valid regardless, or does skipping the actual enrollment cause problems down the line (with the visa itself, future applications, immigration records, etc.)?

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who's been in a similar situation or knows how this works in practice. Country-specific insight is welcome too, since I know this probably varies a lot.

A genuine student visa question

Hello, a quick question about visa validity: I applied for my visa using a pre-enrollment certificate from a university. If I end up not completing the enrollment process with them, does the visa stay valid, or could that create complications?

okay so I've been going back and forth on this and I need outside input because everyone around me either went to a completely different uni or just says "both are good bro"

the two I'm stuck between are INTI University and Lincoln College, masters in Data Science or Computer Science (haven't even fully locked in the field yet which is a whole other problem)

curious about the general atmosphere, quality of teaching, whether the curriculum feels current or outdated. also whether there's any actual connection to the industry, eg: internships, company partnerships, that kind of thing, or if it's mostly just classroom stuff for two years

also just wondering what the tech scene looks like over there in general, like is it an active market, things moving, companies hiring, just trying to get a sense of the environment

anyone who studied there or is based in the area, would love to hear how things actually are
