[NKD] I blame you

8600SBK auto Bedlam prototype

A few weeks ago u/DebtFreeDad made a post about falling off the wagon, buying his first Benchmade after a year of not buying any. I thought, I could probably do that. Not 3 days later one of you gives me a heads-up about this one.

Old-timey auto Bedlam

Selling my favorite knife, the Benchmade auto Bedlam. Trying to thin the herd, don't really need 5 Bedlams. Trying to limit myself to only 2 of the same knife. I've had this one for years & I don't know how many owners it's had. The 8600BK is the best version of the Bedlam they made, imo. The knife has been used & carried but is in really good shape. The coating has light wear at edges & 1 spot the size of a grain of sand on the show side. This is available with 1 set of scales. You choose between the NRA Blue Cerakote currently on the knife or the "Battlewashed Stormtrooper" in White Cerakote. SV $350 PPFF

Today's carry

Benchmade limited mini Adira in Thermocline G-Carta & 417 Fact in Paua. Dragonfly Scales did amazing work on the Fact scales. There is a window that shows the Fact's unique Omega spring. In keeping with the Greek i refer to this spring as an Omicron-Omega spring. There is not enough room in the Fact scales for the typical Omega spring so they've add a coil spring

WW1 bomb stuck at rectrum

A 24-year-old man showed up at Ranqueil Hospital in Toulouse, France earlier this year complaining of severe discomfort and telling staff he had an object stuck inside him. When doctors took him in for surgery, they realized it wasn't a toy at all but a World War I artillery shell from around 1918, roughly 8 inches long, lodged in his rectum.

Because nobody knew if the shell was live, the hospital partially evacuated the ER, called in bomb disposal experts and firefighters and set up a security cordon until specialists declared it safe and removed it. The man reportedly came through surgery fine, but police are now looking at whether he can be charged for possessing Category A munitions, while local media very politely describe the likely reason the shell ended up there as obvious.
