I have a 2016 mazda 6 grand touring with the skyactive engine, and it recently started overheating while in traffic, My scanner said it reached about 240-250 F, and pulled over to check it out.

A/C - not working/blowing hot

Small radiator hose below lower radiator hose on the engine has a pinhole spraying/bubbling a tiny bit of coolant. Worse at high pressure.

Coolant resevoir - Full

Radiator fans - On, and running high speed

Upper hose - Hot, with coolant I think

Engine cools while coasting, and climbs when accelerating.

I let it cool and started it again.

It ran fine, so I drove an hour with no overheating, then stopped

Started again with same problem, so I had it towed.

If I idle it in the shade, it stays around 220 F for about 5 minutes before it starts to climb to 230+ F.

The mechanic said the thermosat housing is cracked, and wants to charge 731 to fix it including the diagnosis, and parts. It seems easy enough to fix myself. That's way too much right?

My son dropped our vector awhile ago, and busted the body board. I'm willing to buy it off of someone if they have one?

I have fruit fly's that will not go near apple cider vinegar, or fruit on the counter, or thr blue light traps. I've scrubbed out my kitchen sink with bleach/soap. Peppermint drops seem to drive them away for a minute. It is starting to get bad. Did I breed some sort of super fly on accident?

I bought a 2008 335i manual 4 years ago as a project car. The timing chain was broken and the valves likely bent. I got the engine detached and hooked up to a hoist. I havent bought the timing chain, valves, or new battery yet.

I took on many other projects, and got a job that takes up too much time, so I don't really have time to spend fixing this car.

Should I go ahead and sell it, or is it worth it for me to keep?

I used to be able to select a language, and setup my own environment, but now it seems like I have to go through an LLM, what happened?
I just wanted to use it to test small pieces of c++ for testing, not building an app from a prompt.
