Value-free ideal of science

What do you think about the nowadays seemingly very popular idea that the impartiality or value-neutrality of scientific inference from evidence is a myth, and passé as a regulative ideal? This is not the old relativism vs logical positivism debate, to note.

Firt stab at sculpting (for 1/24 diorama)

I don't know how much I enjoyed working with such a sticky medium, but turned out as I wanted. I bought the skull mask 3D printed.

Black mark album cover diorama WIP

Trying out a terrain/diorama for the first time to recrate the album cover scene. Since the band shot the cover in an actual theater, I think I cannot immitate the lighting exactly (I am also not too experienced with wiring) so I'm fine with a gist resemblance. I'll sculpt the figure out of clay. I'm thinking of putting glass in front, but not sure yet. Any criticism welcome.

Bathory diorama WIP

Trying out a terrain/diorama for the first time, after crafting a dollhouse and some roomboxes. The reference in the second pic. First timer, reconstruction from target image

I have been following the sub for a while before I started this project. My first attempt at anything involving terrain. I want to build the scene in the Bathory album cover (second pic) as a gift for a friend. I don't aim to create an exact replica, but more like the gist and atmosphere of the scene. I'll make the demon out of clay later; for now am I on the right track with the rock formations/cave?

I experimented a little with craft knife, engraving pen, sandpaper, and simply tearing for the front part. Thanks in advance for any suggestions/pro tips!

Shrank own painting for dollhouse bedroom

I do both oils and miniatures, but it had not occured to me before that it would be fun to decorate mini rooms with my paintings:)

What is your fav method for clean inlays?

I tried applying mica+glaze with a dotting tool and with a knife, it was messy. I also tried painting the raised areas after baking but not sure how reliable that is. Do you have a best tried-out method that works with cutters/stamps?

WIP Night light for a toddler girl

Approaching the finish line with this roombox for my daughter - the aesthetic is mostly her choice.

WIP night light/roombox

This is for my 5yo, hence the aesthetic. I wish I bought good wallpaper or cardstock instead of using regular paper, but it'll have to do.

Handmade bookcase

I designed this on the go for a shadow box. I used basswood sheets, cardboard, Xacto knife and a carving knife.
