We didn't keep in touch, and the place closed down 6 years ago, but I'm still bummed

I've been thinking about how I could make his wings/coat as a prop combined with his four arms and wanted advice.

My current idea is a total of six hands; my regular ones, hands inside the sleeves hanging from the regular sleeves, and an extra pair of arms that hide within my real arms' sleeves, but get pulled out when the wings unfurl.

On the topic of the wings, my idea is to cut tubing like pvc pipe and run a string through all of it. If I pull the string, it should make the pieces of pvc pipe lock together. If sewn into the top of each wing, it theoretically should unfurl in one fluid motion.

Are there any noticeable flaws with this idea? How would y'all go about something like this? I know I'm making it overcomplicated by wanting it to unfurl AND keep the six arms, but that's sort of the point. Trying to exercise my brain with problems like this
