First time brain zaps after 6g 4MMC
I've always heard about people getting terrible brain zaps from MDMA binges or other stupid stuff, but I had never experienced them myself and honestly couldnt imagine what they are like.
Fast forward to abouta week ago and I had some times to do 4mmc. People always rave on about how it never stops working (lie), so I dedided to put that to the test just for one. Was up from tuesday morning until Friday midnight, 2 skipped nights. I didnt realize it then but I was borderline psychotic at the end all while thinking my reasoning is perfectly intact and everyone around me speaks gibberish.
Went through 6g total and at the end I wanted to try how high you could dose just for the sake of it, was getting precisely Zero effects atp, so i continued dosing 1.8g in the span of 2.5h and ended the binge with a 900mg oral dose. This was very close to OD territoryas I turned fully retarded for the next 2 hours, couldnt form a single through and felt physically ill and unstable, afterwards i thought to myself it was pure luck that i didnt take 200mg more cuz that could have actually killed me.
Feel asleep instantly on xan and felt okay the next day (i acutally got my blood drawn on the morning after for sth unrelated, if anyone cares about the results let me know). Next night though I laid in bed and I could feel and hear this buzzing in my head slowly coming on, getting stronger and then strongly buzzing my brain with a loud sound in my ear for a second.. It certainly wasn't comfortable but a completely novel sensation and I had to laugh directly after for some reason. Did get annyoing though when I actually tried to sleep.
Next day: worst. fucking. comedown. ever. Not kidding, i've binged on 2g many times before but this was next level. just sat down frozen cuz no motivation to even move my hand somewhere of do the simplest thing. Its now a week later and I feel 90% to my old self, but that certainly was an interesting experiment.
Research has been conducted successfully, thx for reading

Coast FIRE at 20 with 200k vs 40 with 1.1m - same math, big difference?
Curious about the age/net worth ratio for hitting coast fire.
Assumptions (example): FIRE at 50, 45k/yr spending, 4% SWR, so the target is roughly 1.13m in todays money. 9% nominal minus 3% inflation is about 5.8% real. 200k at 20 compounds to ~1.09m real by 50, so it just about works.
The 200k/500k/1.1m comparison is the same amount at three points in time, so of course it comes out equal. What im actually wondering is what this calculation is hiding:
- 30 years to retirement vs 10 years is a lot more time for uncertainty
- Real world benefits having money earlier
- Market outperformance
- Saving with a much bigger impact
If you could choose one age, which one would it be?

Opus 5 fixed after deleting memory
Got a Pro sub a few weeks ago and was genuinely amazed by Opus 5 in the beginning. Answers were highly understandable and practically useful. The model always understood the assignment perfectly.
Now, comparing recent output to the beginning, its a totally different model. Convoluted sentence structures and 10 obscure words where one simple sentence would have done the job. It was like in the Opus memes:
- First, the estimator problem. The naive version of your question — regress standardized unexpected earnings
- First, a correction to the premise....
- Adjuncts that don't violate your constraint: These are procedural or device-based rather than streamlined solutions:
Seriously, come on...
I came across the advice from the Claude Code lead developer to just let Claude work without piling on instructions sometimes, so I deleted the memory. Output after that is so much better - very close to what I got at the start again. Big improvement over previous word salad.
I'm pretty sure the memory was slowly accumulating weird instructions on thoroughness and output preferences and executing them regardless of how much sense it made in the situation. Definitely worth trying if your Opus 5 outputs got ridiculous to read over time.
Edit: thx for the hair advice guys🙃

Money doesnt feel "real" anymore
Thought this is the last sub on this topic I can resort to.
Early 20s and I've been trading stocks and ETFs for 2 years now. Buying/selling even just watching the market used to be a big thrill, sometimes scary in the moment. There was a time where I equated the money in the portfolio to job money; I was working an assistant job at the time, a 600€ loss felt like one complete salary gone.
Nowdays it didnt just become "normal" - it became absolutely insignificant. Part of it is moving too big orders virtually in mental absence, taking big trades after being in drawdown very spontaneously. Checking the app constantly but not feeling anything. Note that I live relatively frugal otherwise.
The truth is: I dont feel happier after having reached some arbitrary monetary goal, in fact im even more depressed. I dont feel very financially or socially secure. Theres nothing to be bought with money that gifts actual happiness. Taking a look in the app is almost empty and meaningless.
Any thoughts are appreciated
Volatilität, Rendite und 2x All-World vs. 2x Nasdaq ETFs
|Rendite in % |Volatilität in % |Sharpe (Rendite/Vol)
All-World |8,3 |18,5 |0,45
2x All-World |9,3 |37,1 |0,25
Nasdaq |14,2 |27,3 |0,52
Deleveraging reasonably. 50/50 VT QLD? TQQQ?
This secular bull run has been incredible for leveraged investing, but at some point deleveraging a part of the portfolio becomes sensible risk management.
Currently holding 80/20 QLD SSO and looking to keep this until at least 2028. Im optimistic for the near future but major drawdowns will come, therefore I consider a total leverage of 1.5 to be more reasonable going into the coming decade.
How would you reallocate this portfolio?
Not looking to run a SMA strategy since taxes are an issue.
Thinking about going 50/50 QLD VT mainly because im comfortable with QLD volatility. Any benefit going with 70/30 VT TQQQ or something completely different/bonds etc?
4-BMC and EC50 values
Finally got around to getting a sample of this relatively obscure cathinone. Im looking for some insight on the pharmacology and effects of 4-BMC before becoming a guinea pig myself.
In general, it seems to be the case for 4-substituted methcathinones that the SERT:DAT ratio together with absolute releasing potencies increase the heavier the substituent gets. This tracks from CH3->Cl->Br, with DAT selectivity being highest in 4-MMC, then 4-CMC and lowest in 4-BMC. Also 4-BMC is the most serotonergic in absolute potency.
Just going by EC50 values alone, 4-BMC should be more serotonergic and potent than 4-MMC by a wide margin a lot closer to MDMA in its effects.
Im well aware that subjective effects can vary widely in humans and depend other factors, but the big difference in ec50 should atleast translate somehow to real world effects.
Whats your experience been with this substance? Is it comparable to anything?
| | DAT | SERT | DAT Selectivity |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4-MMC | 49.1 ± 8.3 | 118 ± 26 | 2.4 |
| 4-CMC | 74.7 ± 15 | 71.1 ± 12 | 0.9 |
| 4-BMC | 67.8 ± 12 | 42.5 ± 26 | 0.6 |

Long term effects from cathinone abuse, addiction
When do longterm mood issues and problems show up when abusing 4mmc and 2mmc every few days? This mix is very similar to 3mmc, I can understand why 5 years ago when 3mmc was around everyone was addicted to it.
I try to control some damage by limiting 4mmc to once per week and take 2mmc the other times. Still I’ve been using about 1-2g of caths a week, sometimes only a few lines but there’s a good chance that It ends in a small binge again.
When I don’t do any for 3 days I feel fine. I know it’s not sustainable for long. For those who have gotten out of this addiction, how did u finally quit? My hypothesis is that at some point caths wont be fun anymore as ive depleted and downregulated everything, so ill just stop desiring the high anymore😅🐥
4-HO-MET nasal/snorted ROA differences, equipotency and bodyload
Im fairly experienced in the basic psychs like LSD and 2CB. I wanna buy some 4HO-MET powder since it seems like a reasonable starting trypt. Sadly no formal bioavailability data is available on 4HO-MET specifically and no solid anecdotal consensus either. Also no info on Psychonautwiki for nasal. Can there be a comparison made to 2CB?
For 2CB, snorting 10mg compares to 20mg oral and results in a 10-15 minute comeup with close to zero bodyload. Like many, I consider this way of ingestion for 2C-B vastly superior to taking pills. I wonder if this compares to tryptamines like 4HO-MET or any other MiPT, DiPT, MeO analogues.
From what I could find, high doses of 4-HO-MET are much more mind-heavy than 2CB, which remains fairly lucid up to 40mg snorted.
Any info on:
- Potency comparison of Oral vs Nasal ROA
- Differences in the trip itself; bodyload, visuals, mind-fuckery, nausea etc.
- Trip Duration
I would be using pure 4-HO-MET (probably HCl) powder since its about half as expensive and allows for more accurate dosing. Is it worth getting it over pills?
Your experience on inheritance at a young age and investing in the stock market
Hey, I am curious to hear from some older folks here, who inherited at a young age and invested into the stock market for a long time (20+ years).
Im 19 years old uni student and inherited about 340k$ when I was younger, which is now fully invested in US indices. Simply plotting the expected returns, the end value after 20 and 30 years is 2.5 and 8 Million dollars.
I´ll get to the point: I have no idea how this will affect my life compared to my peers. Honestly, these numbers feel completely unrealistic. It would mean I could comfortably buy a house and live at 40, and the returns would go on into retirement. I also understand life isnt as simple as that and unexpected things happen.
- Is this money going to change my day-to-day life in any significant way?
- How will housebuying be affected in 20 or so years?
- Any other things to watch out for?
For those who inherited and invested a long time ago, potentially already retired, how is it going for you?
Verbal intelligence vs pattern recognition
Anyone with similar scores who feels less intelligent than peers? I have a friend who scored a 120, but his verbal intelligence is so much higher than mine.
I tend to feel stupid when speaking, my mind goes blank when trying to find the right word for something. Also when I write something it could just sound more sophisticated and fluent

2-MMC is great for weekly evening use
Ive been getting more and more into 2-MMC the more I use it. (and the less i abuse it)
When this chemical came out in 2021 as a 3-MMC replacement, the overwhelming majority spent their time shitting on its effects. A flood of defeatist proclamations how the golden methcathinone ages have ended with the ban of 3-mmc ensured. This might be true if youre into rolling your balls off and dancing at 8am in Berghain with unreal euphoria, the best there is, or binging a gram or two in a night - or both :p
Luckily great quality 4mmc is more available than ever, so for that purpose we still have a remedy.
This stuff is just great and unique for dosing in the evening, because sleeping after 2 hours is no difficulty. Semi-functional doses like 25mg every 30minutes are really fun for a reading session. My weekly ritual, when my newspaper arrives, is that i sit down at like 20:00, mark down a few articles i wanna read and then dose 25-50mg oral. It starts subtly coming up at the 30min mark, and makes reading (boring but important topics too) just so much more engaging and fun. Today I read about the origin and ideas of the US constitution into today; The historical causes of the Nazi rise to power in Weimar compared to todays situation; The odyssee and the appropriation of ancient hero myths in right-wing/technofeudalist circles; German remembrance culture and the sources of meaning and identity in a post-conventional society; and funnily enough: an article about the shortlived career of two german teens, who established and grew an online drug business that got fucked by LE in 2025. Atleast they can say ASNT and Dream Market admin hi.
I redose every 1/2 to 1 hour to about 50mg per hour until like 23:30 when I can hopefully stop. Only at the end does it get too euphoric to focus on reading. Then I crave social situations so i start writing posts like this or texting friends. Hella fiendish cuz I always do more than i intended and start snorting, but i tend to dose around 250mg per evening. I love it cuz it feels like a mini mephedrone binge but every week.
What i described has been a weekly ritual for me for some weeks now. No depression yet, if anything, it improved my relationships with friends and parents since now once per week I talk completely open and social with them, and try to carry this over into the sober periods.
Until now, I must conclude, that weekly low dose 2-MMC use (up to 300mg) seems to carry no ill effects. Imo theres no difference to taking amphetamine every day for ADHD.
