It’s a pretty lighthearted and fun scene at first watch, but when you look into it, you realize that Finnick touched Katniss, then apologizes (after what he himself has endured). Then he proceeds to make a hangman’s knot to lighten the mood, which is interesting considering the Hanging Tree song + hangings were probably a common occurrence in many districts of Panem

He seemed hopelessly in love with himself at one point, so I gotta wonder what would’ve happened if he was allowed to pose as the Prince for longer. Surely his parents could’ve noted how their son had changed

I just noticed this hilarious bit of irony. He tells Charlotte to expect the unexpected, then panics over a little bug

I feel like when you’re gone for weeks, you would put up photos of your loved ones. In the movie, we see he’s put up photos only of himself. So I gotta wonder what happened to his parents and/or family

And was it mostly for pleasure, or also due to the fact he had a famous name?
