Looking for a new hair stylist

I’m not going to name drop the stylist or salon, but I started going to (redacted) Salon sometime last year after the stylist I was seeing at Barnet Fair moved to a different salon that was somehow even MORE expensive. I LOVED how she cut my hair, but I unfortunately don’t make $100+ for just a cut money.

I went to this salon based on so many recommendations from friends and mutuals too. When I called the salon and said I’m looking for a stylist who does shags/razor cutting they paired me with this stylist.

This is the third time I’ve gone home really disappointed. Last time my bangs were so unbelievably crooked, if I showed you a picture you would CLOWN on me for even going back. The left side of my head was longer than the right side. i couldn’t pull my hair up for weeks because there was a chunk missing where my bangs are supposed to blend in with the rest of my hair. It also didn’t even look or sit like a shag.

When I asked them to even out a couple things a little today their entire vibe changed. I honestly just don’t have the time, energy, or money to keep leaving unhappy and fixing it myself. I’m on medication that is causing me to lose my hair because I’m really sick, so I’m a bit more emotional about it than I usually would be

So I’m looking for a stylist who actually specializes in razor cuts/shags.

extremely specific question, has anyone refinanced an auto loan with Police & Fire here?

Delete if not allowed but this does feel Philly specific to me due to the bank in question!!

Long story short:

My old ass car kicked the bucket 3.5 years ago, I had a chunk of change and needed a car, it was all I had to my name… My credit was fucked (at the time, we’re in the good place now 🫡) so I needed a co-signer, only person who offered was my (fucked up) father. His only stipulation was I needed to buy a brand new car (I really didn’t want to). Great.

After doing all the paperwork, the man at the dealership told me to make a bunch of on time payments as well as join a credit union asap (my ex told me to do P&F because he was part of it) and try and refinance later down the line to reduce the payments down to something more comfortable, and spoke highly of credit unions regardless. So I did the next day.

Well that time has come. Not only do I need my insane father off the auto loan (has everything to do with him, long story), and would like to reduce my monthly payment because I’m moving and uhhhh, well look around, everything is fucked. I paid half my loan off already.

Anyway, has anyone refinanced through Police and Fire and have any interest in walking me through the experience? Is it worth it? Is it easy? I’ve never done anything like this before.

Money is super tight for me (I’m learning I have a medical disability, yay, and testing is expensive 😍) and if I could cut my monthly payment in half or close to it (you’d be so mad to know what it is for the kind of car I have) I would cry tears of joy. I understand it will temporarily drop my credit score, but I’m not too worried about that.

Younger coworker told me I’m not really a lesbian

I was having a chat with a few of my coworkers yesterday. I’m 31 years old, the rest are in their late 20’s except for one who is 22. The topic of Jackass came up because the new movie is coming out and I said something to the effect of “I can’t believe Johnny Knoxville is still so hot, he was one of my first crushes as a kid”.
Younger coworker says “aren’t you a “lesbian”.” My coworkers all look at me like they’re confused and I said “yeah I am, why?”
“I just don’t think a real lesbian would be calling a man hot, like I’m repulsed by all men how we should be”.
I essentially said look I’m gay not blind, he’s a handsome man but I’d never be with a man in real life, I’m not interested in men like that (sexually but I wanted to keep it cute because you know, we’re at work), etc.
they went on a small tangent about how me identifying as a lesbian and calling a man hot is problematic and I should read up on “decentering men” (I don’t think I could decenter them more if I tried), and even suggested I should start identifying as pan or bi.

I have no intention or desire to ever touch, kiss, fuck, do anything with a man, just to really stress that.

Long story short, is this a new thing with the younger generations? Policing and gate keeping sexuality? Because a lot of my older gay/lesbian friends were floored when I told them.

any fun queer events or parties this weekend?

hello!
31/lesbian

My sister is in town this weekend and I was hoping to take her out to do something fun since we didn’t get to celebrate pride together this year!

I don’t go out at all anymore, so I truly don’t have any idea on where to start or look, which is why I’m asking here! I have dancing on the brain now that it’s summer, lol,

thank you for your service 🫡

Wendy’s in Folsom?

So I personally don’t care about Wendy’s, I’d probably go once every couple of years if I’m desperate. Noticed they were closed down the other day, a day later fences were up, assumed they were just done for good. But today there was a crane out there almost looking like they were doing work on the exterior? Did it sell already? Or are they just redoing it? Another bank perhaps? /s

I’m just nosy!

is there something in my chart that I could point to why my exes are all still attached to me

My friends and I have joked about this my whole life, but nearly every ex I’ve ever had always circles back multiple times throughout my life, whether it’s months or years later. Pondering this as my ex from two years ago who I broke up with suddenly text me about wanting to get dinner and catch up, while two weeks ago another ex of mine started sliding into my Instagram DM’s. Is there perhaps anything in my birth chart that could explain this (hilarious) phenomenon?

Genuine question, delete if off topic

Any other queer women out there who consider Ava a fashion icon? Anyone know where one would even begin to look for clothing items like hers? I stay wearing the same dickies and oversized jeans with hoodies and I want to upgrade my wardrobe a little before I get an (expensive) medical procedure done and live the rest my life in debt. At least I’ll be stylish in my eyes. Love to my Hacksinistas and Lil Debbie’s.

best spot to grab a quick bite and drink at the bar by AMC?

Going to see a movie late tomorrow night and I’m planning on showing up an hour/hour and a half early because I really just want to take myself somewhere for a quick bite and maybe one cocktail. I finally have a little extra cash to treat myself for the first time in months.

I love all food so I’m super open to any suggestions. Any spots on a Friday where I could probably get a seat at the bar around 7? Anything a 15 minute walk from the AMC fashion district is cool with me!
