I'm putting a bird camera outside, it's more likely to stay if I have something heavy to anchor it to rather than use one of those flexible tripods. I've got a screw and brick drill bits, so I'm just gonna drill the screw into the brick so I can mount the camera.
I swear to god that's what I'm using it for. It just seems silly to buy one brick.
My 60yo mom is retiring and deciding to move up to NYC to be closer to my family. She visits frequently and we know the city life fits her well. I've lived in Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, Kew Gardens and Ridgewood and have a passing familiarity with Forest Hills, Jackson Heights, Prospect/Sunset park, and the Coney Island area.
I want to expand our search more into Brooklyn, or perhaps the north Bronx, so I'd love to know your thoughts on neighborhoods that fit her needs:

After I planted my roots in the city 12 years ago, my mom has decided to move up as well. She's looking to get a 6-12-month lease someplace furnished while she adjusts to city life, in any borough as long as she has ready access to a train line and it's realistically walkable to a grocery store. Her budget is $2k for a studio or 1bedroom.
I've never shopped for a furnished reantal before and have heard conflicting reports about Furnished Finders. Are there any other websites you've found to be reputable? Any advice on looking for furnished units specifically?
Josh Hart is my favorite and I sacrificed giving him a high five for that first shot. It was worth it.

Jiavani killed it at the Celeb Karaoke and they were both wonderful in the group improv show! The second photo makes her look like a supervillain so I'm very partial to it! EDIT; Thanks for the critique everyone! I acnowledge that it's a lot of editing, I like playing around with these heavily washed photos to learn Lightroom tricks on hard mode.
That said I worked some of the green out of his head/hand (his eyeshadow was green so I tried to keep that) and I do like it more! I'm gonna continue to play with getting some tone back into his skin.

Little Cupcake has been my favorite bakery for over a decade, but I’ve never used them for more than a birthday cake. Has anyone used them for a larger order such as multiple cakes/sheetcakes? How was your experience?
