I have a wine fridge, and the thermostat failed. I am looking for a replacement and all the thermostats have much folder ranges, for a fridge or freezer. Any ideas where I can find one that will control to 55°F?
Need a reccomendation. I do NOT want to pay a subscrpition to store video in the cloud, I want to store it locally on my network. In the 90's I had such a system, with coax cameras feeding motion triggered video to the HDD on an XP machine. It worked great, for a really long time. It's dead now and I need a replacement. I would like:
- Motion sense to capture video immediately plus 30 seconds prior and 30 secodns after motion stops
- Solar WiFi cameras with battery backup (a few will mount on trees outside, power would be hard to get there)
- Video to store on any local HDD using a windows program, not some dedicated dvr device.
- good quality cameras, with good night vision.
- Price is a concern.

Spent a lot of time creating intelligent rule sets for advanced diagnostics, customer wants to copy them to another building without my involvement. Can I somehow I charge them for this? It was never intended to be used in other buildings.
I do not have the pin spanner wrench thing to hold the pulley in place, and I've broken a few tools trying to jam it up. But I don't know if I'm going the correct direction or not. I see different sources say different things. I have heard rumors that different model years switch it up...

I have Fiber coming in a coupel of weeks, either 100Mb for $65/mo, or 1 Gig for $70/mo. They will mount an ONT on my house, and I have a pair of Cat6 running to a flush mounted cabinet in the basement. I will callthat my MDF. :) From the MDF I have cat6 run to a 7 or 8 locations in the house. The house is: basement, main level, loft. I intend to install a Deco BE25 wireless mesh on each level, and connect the TVs directly to Cat6. I need a router in the MDF and I am looking for recommendations. I am not a super heavy user, but I want it to be capable of handling full pipe speed. What router would you recommend, and why?
I don't think the MDF is a good spot for wifi so I prefer to have a router without integral WiFi. Bonus if I can plug an external HDD into it and use it as shared storage, but not a deal breaker.
I need to connect remote equipment at a school to the main building, there is no wire path available, and overhead wire is not approved. It's gonna need to be wireless.
What's your go-to Wireless bridge? Around 175-200', line of sight, ethernet on both ends. Only passing around 25-30 points.
So check out this chimney penetration on a new construction house. A few weeks after installation and there's a berm of pine needles backed up against it. Is there a better way to flash this so this is less liekly to happen? This is going to suck up moisture like a sponge.

I have a project where I need some wireless space temperature sensors.
I know they are fraught with issues.. but the customer wants them. I would like to use Enocean, but the system can also use LoRaWAN (I have never tinkered with LoRaWAN).
I need references for good Space Temperature Sensors. Someone suggested the Echoflex EEP A5-10-03 and sent me a cutsheet. They have great battery life and recharge ability, but I don't think they make them anymore.
I need sensors that don't need battery replacements, are wireless, and robust. It would be cool if they had a tamper switch too, but that's not a requirement.

Seems like a great idea, run your IP communication in a big loop to an RSTP switch, then the RSTP switch decides which way communicaitons goes, and if ever a com cable is compromised, you can't tell because the RSTP switch just sends the data through whatever path is available for that controller.
But how does the system operator know that there has been an issue? Are there any RSTP switches that will send an alarm via BACnet, or something we can integrate to, informing us that there has been a communication shift due to a broken com line?
I am on a 3-month wait list for fiber, and I desperately need Network. My neighbor graciously gave me the password to his Wi-Fi, but the signal is weak. I searched for Wi-Fi extenders and Deco Outdoor was listed as capable of having Wi-Fi backhaul. So I bought it.
Going through setup, it does not let me go past the " plug an Ethernet cable into your router" point, I do not see an option to use Wi-Fi as the path to the internet.
Can it be done? What am I missing?

When set to run in any mode, the 'sensing' light flashes, and it never moves on to fill or wash or anything. It just sits there sensing.
I set it on 'tub clean', thinking it would not need to sense for that - it filled the tub, and sat there doing nothing. The timer did not advance.
Any ideas?
