The Siemens Vectron is one of the most used modern locomotives. Used in freight and passanger service, the Vectron can be seen in multiple countries, like Germany (DB BR 193), Switzerland (BLS Re 475), Poland (PKP EU46), Czechia (ČDC 383), Austria (ÖBB 1293), Hungary (MAV 471) or Denmark (DSB EB 3200) to name a few.
With the possibility to customise the Vectron, you can get locomotives that can go up to 230km/h or as slow as 120km/h. The cheaper, non customisable Locomotive by Siemens, based on the Vectron is called "Smartron". It is a serial produced locomotive.
There is also the possibility to get a Dualmode locomotive. Built for either shunting or non electrified routes, the Dualmode can be fitted with a electric and diesel or battery powered motor.

With permission of the modesses I will post "Train of the week - Trainsbian Megathreads" every Tuesday (until I either run out of trains or time). If you have pictures of trains you want to share, you can post them under this post. This post doubles as the Trainsbian Megathread.
Until September of this year the shown Intercity 1 trains are planned to be retired and replaced with the new Intercity Express L, so the IC Mitteldeutschland (Cologne - Gera) and IC Allgäu (Cologne - Oberstdorf) are two of the last IC 1 routes still using the IC 1 train until they are discontinued and replaced.
