A photoreport from my New Zealand journey

Words can't fully describe the beauty of this country. Visited for a month, didn't want to go back home. Open to questions :)

So you built a SaaS, but how do you guys market your saas?

Simple plain question, you built the best of the best saas, but how do you go about marketing?
I've been experimenting in gdev to saas to marketing of saas, and ive grown into the marketing side of things.

I'm still learning and applying practices in marketing even though i have a decent UA experience in gdev b2b, and would love to know how did you guys do it?

Also, do you guys hire outsider marketer or a team to take over if you have the budget or is it all DIY?

If You have a SaaS, let's get you some 'targeted' users for your business.

You got a B2B SaaS, but have limited marketing budget.

I will help you with lead gen and then also do cold emailing templates.

DONT DM ME UNTIL I SPECIFICALLY REQUEST YOU TO CONTINUE IN DM. LETS KEEP IT ALL IN COMMENTS UNTIL THEN.

WHAT I BRING TO THE TABLE

My previous experience is in gdev where i worked with companies worth 100M+ valuations, i can dm u more if needed.

One of my projects did 10,000,000 Downloads/installs on iOS and Android combined, between 2020 - 2024. I left that company in 2023 and the project died in 2024, IDK if I was the reason or the product mostly reached it's end of LTV. Games usually tend to die out after a while so it is the LTV I'm suspecting.

WHY THIS POST?

Now Im entering this service space of bringing people attention to your business and because Im in early stages, I will only pick 1 or 2 clients max, if there is anyone who requires my services.

IF INTERESTED, PLEASE COMMENT

Things I've in place to avoid wasting both of us our time

  1. Comment in this post your landing page link. 2
  2. Your Project's date founded [month/year].
  3. # of active free users.
  4. # of paying users.
  5. MRR as of today/this month
  6. Marketing channels you used.
  7. Budget you've spent on paid acquisition in past fiscal year
    1. if you've digged deeper, lmk your CPIs and CTRs of your creatives.
  8. What is your budget you can allot [in $USD] further?
  9. Bootstrapped or Venture Funded?
  10. How much runway you have left?
  11. What didn't work for you in marketing that you tried?

I'm not an agency, just a single person. I am an avid reddit user who has been a part of this sub for a while and I did see many people struggle here and burn through their energy/savings/capital, so I thought why not start here.

I'm not sure how things will fall into place, but if i like a project I think resonates with me, i'd be happy to dig deeper and work it out.

My previous expertise is B2B Gaming Industry. The playbook is same for B2B, so I'm confident in the process.

FOR B2C

In case your project is B2C, I'm not sure I'll be of much use, but if you have some initial traction and growth, just drop by in comments too with 11 points above, won't hurt to look.

THIS IS NOT FREE BUT ITS NOT EXPENSIVE EITHER

If a SaaS is promising and we plan to proceed, I will request a charge for the complete tactical marketing approach, and since I'm solo and want to build a name, it'll be much better than agencies and my rule at the moment is no more than 2 clients/SaaS for at least 3 months.

The simple notion is that, If I've not only worked to push your business ahead but also helped with its growth, then that goes both ways.

NOTE: This is an experimental adventure for me. If things work out, good for both of us.

I'm not sure if anyone would go ahead since most in this sub are home bootstrapped peeps with little to no budget, so this may all just be a post that dies out, but incase there is anyone willing to take the leap of faith, as I'm solo and not agency, to keep it transparent, I will publicly say which 1 or 2 company/project I planned to proceed with in the comments of this post itself, so that the clients/companies who chose me can be assured that I am not chewing more than i can take.

TV Show Suggestion: Fact that "Lord of the Flies" was actually from William Golding's 1954 dystopian masterpiece makes it worth watching

One of the paragraphs from the TV Newsletter about Lord of the Flies

"It’s Jack Thorne’s (Emmy Award Winner) first television adaptation of William Golding’s 1954 dystopian masterpiece, presenting the landmark novel into a 4-episode limited series that charts innocence’s descent into savagery when a group of English schoolboys become desert island castaways during wartime evacuation.

It’s filled with a bit of depth to be honest, makes you appreciate what we have in life."

I think that the dystopia seen in William's masterpiece is still a reality of many around the glove, now sadly I'm not sure if the charitable trusts that are set up do their job efficiently and how much of the donations that we give actually goes to the end child in question.

I'm not sure if its truly an adaption from the year but the book itself is the original source. The story has also seen films versions in 1963 and 1990 yet the recent BBC series is the debut television take, approved by Golding's estate for its faithful yet innovative approach.

I felt like there is really no age when someone turns to the human nature's darker side, the survival kicks in and right or wrong fades. This feels like how one would be guided without any oversight as we grow up or social structures...

When i visit some third world countries I do get to see some kids and it takes me back to this masterpiece and relate it.

So here I am suggesting you all to watch it at least once, and it aired just last week!

📸GoCam: The easiest way to record yourself in game.

Hey guys,

I made a free app for AC, where I don't have to leave OBS every now and then to record my footage.

May add more features later if fellow AC drivers like to record themselves too.

This app helps reduce steps.

Thanks for your time.

If anyone wants to try this version, it's free on my patreon, no need to join.

At the time of this writing, it's the latest post or look for "Introducing GoCam...".

Have a good weekend fellow racer, peace!

did a post last week, which goes more in detail if anyone is interested -> here

Yours Sincerely,
GB

Hey fellow AC drivers,

I made something simple for myself to reduce a step in game recording via OBS. It's very self-explanatory, you install the mod/app, use "Next Cam" button to cycle through the cam views, and you can also use "F1" alternatively, mixing and matching views available, and then hit Start REC in app to record your gameplay, without ever leaving the game.

Same steps to Stop REC in game. 1 button.

I'm not sure if it's done before but I'm certain someone may have thought of it, I am more of a coder, so I enjoy DIY and it's free if anyone else finds it interesting.

🚗INSTALLATION

I've made a README file with it, it's a one-time process if you don't have OBS or Python installed on your PC.

I have made steps for them as well, just in case.

🚗WHERE WILL IT BE AVAILABLE

This is a fun little project i did and its available to everyone on my Patreon.

At the time of this writing, it's the latest post or look for "Introducing GoCam...".

You can get it without joining my Patreon.

I use Patreon because it's what I'm used to and it's easy to offer + AC community is accustomed to the platform.

Next would be making this available on overtake maybe this weekend or next if I find time, and a tut video if people have difficulty with readme file. I can't promise the overtake or tut video for now as im tight in schedule, but maybe in near future.

🚗SPECIAL THANKS

Special thank you to "Ralph's better cousin" on Patreon, who supported me with the dollar plan which is the main reason I've been able to bring this and just share it to everyone.

So, if anyone ever downloads this and finds this interesting, please thank them!

I want to do more apps and complex ones, but I'm so bound by my time & bills that I can barely manage anything, the cliche of adulting life.

Nevertheless, once in blue moon when I get behind the wheel, I forget everything and it's just me and this community, I think I'm sane till now because of that feeling + I see new cool stuff and the unity here on AC so well, that I feel like a home here.

So, thank you to each one of you reading this.

🚗GOAL

My goal is to make cool little mods that fellow ac drivers enjoy and maybe do this full time or even part time one day.

I just love this community so much!

Thank you for reading, weekend is coming up, I hope you have a good one.

Enjoy.

Sincerely,
Gabangang

In case you dont want to watch the video, these are the points:

  • NO MORE LIVE EVENTS FOMO
  • INTRODUCTION OF FUNCTIONAL CAR MEETS!
  • BROKEN PROGRESSION
  • ‘SPATIAL STYLE’ SOUND EFFECT
  • COST
  • ENGINE SOUNDS RE-DONE FROM SCRATCH
  • THE DULLNESS OF MAP

So everyone is making huge videos to milk out the Forza Horizon 6 situation but honestly, after spending days drooling different people talk about this along with steam page discussions, I thought of making a small 3 minute video where I list points that I consider are necessary to know if one wants to go ahead with forza horizon.

I could make some mistakes so take it with a grain of salt, but i literally took half day today and spent hours just video editing (video editing is a tough job who said it was easy) the basics and yet i couldnt make the best video edit.

I just hope the points i wanted to share are understood and lets pray that this FH6 is really not a disappointment.

For $120 idk if its worth it, Im going to aim $69.99.
