Hilton under construction?

Another poster said the Hilton edge restaurant is closed for renovation and will be for the next few months.

I contacted the hotel because I'm supposed to stay there next month. Anyone stay there recently? What are they doing instead of the restaurant? I used to really enjoy their buffet breakfast which is included for gold and diamond members.

Citibank AA 48 month limit

I opened the Citibank AA card in May of 2022 and would really like to get it again with that 80K offer but I don't know exactly when I got the bonus. My AA account only lets me go back two years.

Any other way to find out as it says you have to be 48 months from when you received it before.

Is the Fitbit Air better than my Versa 4?

I've had my Versa 4 for about 2 years and it works okay. Is the Fitbit Air an upgrade or a downgrade?

Non-OA

I wasn't too keen on putting money in a Thai bank so the OA visa is looking more appealing to me.

  1. For those who've done it, is a state background check good enough or does it need to be FBI?

  2. Did you get your medical clearance from your regular doctor or did you go to some type of travel clinic?

  3. Does the money need to be in a bank account or is a regular taxable brokerage (not retirement ) account okay?

Thanks for help.

Airbnb

I've never stayed at Airbnb but was looking at it for my next trip. I'm showing 7 nights for $250 at the Edge condo in August.

Do these prices include electricity? It seem so cheap.

On a 7 night stay, will they have at least one maid service?

What are the pros and cons of Airbnb over a hotel? I don't care about cooking facilities.

1 year trial of Google Pro

I just ordered the Google 10 pro XL and my understandings it comes with one year of Google pro. I'm about halfway through a free trial that came with my Chromebook.

Will I be ineligible if I use the same email address or do I need to use another email?

Buying a discounted Google 10 pro XL

Is there any pattern to when they get the phones in stock or is it completely random? I need a phone soon but it's out of stock.

Multiple NCL awards

I thought you could buy another $x off award as long as it was a different amount.

I bought a $600 award and booked a cruise. I wanted to book another cruise with the $400 reward but it won't let me purchase.

Garner Hotel

IHG was having a sale so I just booked a stay here on points but will probably cancel as the location doesn't look so good.

Anyone stay here and can comment on the location?

Time for retirement visa and finding an apartment

I'm applying for my retirement visa now. I plan to deposit the 800K once I arrive and then go for the extension after the 2 months.

My question is I wasn't planning to rent an apartment immediately and just stay in hotels. Is that possible or must I rent an apartment to get the required documents from my landlord?

Los Angeles consulate and retirement visa time frame.

I'm getting ready to apply for the retirement visa at the Los Angeles consulate. It looks like it's all done by email as I was expecting to mail my passport to them.

Has anyone done it recently and can tell me how long it took? My 800K is currently in a brokerage account is that okay? I plan to transfer it once I am able to open a Thai account.

Why is open box same price?

I went to order a pixel pro XL but they're charging the same price for open box they were charging for new. Says new is sold out.

Anyone know if they'll get any more in or just wait for the new ones to come out in September? I need it now so I might have missed the boat.

NOVA Suites and location?

For my trip in August, I've noticed that the NOVA has one bedroom rooms that look really nice for under $50. Anyone stay there and have a good opinion of the location?

Google says it's 10 minute walk to Soi 6 but hard to know if it's an easy walk or a dangerous one.

Prepaid booking

I booked a prepaid - non-refundable rate for a hotel in Asia. It said a deposit of $x was required, but I'm not showing a charge? Is there sometimes a delay? I assumed it would be right away.

I have five nights booked on points and one additional night paid in cash (prepaid, non-refundable rate).

In your experience do I have to check out and check back in or will they be able to combine it?

Dusit Thani or Melia

I'm wanting a bit of luxury next trip. Dusit and Melia are the same price. I know Melia is newer and Dusit is a classic resort.

Anyone stayed at both and can recommend one over the other?

Best neighboring country to apply for the retirement Visa

I don't want to return to the US so can I get my retirement Visa in a neighboring country? I don't mind hanging out there for a few weeks either.

I don't currently have a bank account but I do have the 800k once I'm able to open one.
