Have you ever prayed at a shrine for something and it came true?

I live in Japan and often visit shrines to pray, but I realised you don’t often hear “I prayed for xx at my local shrine and 2 days later, it happened!” the way you kind of do from Christians in the west. So this is kind of just meant to be a light hearted conversation. Have you had a good outcome from praying before?

I feel so sad

I’ve finally come to the conclusion that my husband is never going to change. No matter what I say or do, he’s always going to be disrespectful, abusive and mean. I should’ve left him after the first date. I just wanted a nice, meaningful relationship. I don’t even like going home anymore. :( Feeling really hopeless and sad. I don’t have any friends or family, nothing else to really turn to. I was really hoping he would work on himself for me. I tried everything to make it work for him. I’m really stupid for ever falling for his tricks, or the many times I believed him. I’m writing this during my lunch break at work because the only thing I can think about all day every day lately is how unfair it is that the relationship turned out like this. Why couldn’t he try harder? Why couldn’t I be worth fighting for?

At least I have finally seen the light. At least I won’t fall for another trick or lie. But at what cost? I’m heartbroken.

Sorry this is so scattered, I don’t have much time to write this and just wanted to get it out. To be honest, the biggest wish in my heart right now is that some kind of magical being or spirit would whip sense into him and force him to realise how much he is losing by losing me in his life.

Taking cabergoline before prolactin test?

I will take my normal weekly dose today but I have a blood test on Wednesday to check my prolactin levels. Is it better to wait until after my blood test to take it or will it not make a difference? My doctor didn’t mention it!

Anyone know where I can buy a whole birthday cake and get them to put that little sugar card thing with their name on it around Sangenjaya station? Also, how do I ask for that name card in Japanese? I’ve never ordered one before so be nice 🙏❤️ It’s my husband’s birthday tomorrow so I’m hoping to find something around Sangenjaya after I get off work at 6:30.

Has anyone worked for Iware?

Their job listing for a private high school English teacher doesn’t mention needing a bachelor’s degree, but I’m curious if they do? I have my own visa and would love to move from working at a hoikuen to older kids but usually you need a bachelor’s. Does anyone know?

This is gonna be so random. One of my young students’ mum often puts rotini in her bento and it always looks so creamy and good. I don’t get an opportunity to talk to her mum so I came here looking for advice. Does anyone here have a favourite rotini recipe? I know I can look online, just looking for recommendations especially with ingredients that can be found in Japan, as a lot of recipes are often American.
