What is this helicopter towing?

Saw this today and no clue what it is, kind looks like a giant auger. Sorry for the pics, way zoomed in as was about a mile or two away from me.

Thank you to the sub for the encouragement and inspiration to paint my first model in over a decade!

I still suck at painting but it sure was fun! Few details left but I'd say we're 95% there.
