Government-General Office: what if its relics were to remain?

You know, the building of the former Government-General of Chosen(조선총독부청사/朝鮮總督府廳舍) was abolished and dismantled in 1995 as a symbol of decolonisation, while there had been a controversy on the necessity to preserve it as historic remnant.

As a Japanese interested in the Empire of Japan, colonisation and de-colonisation, discourses around them, I wish that the building were somehow preserved and made use of as part of Seoul modern historical museum in front of the Royal Palace(경복궁), and that I could read and understand the way this building has been recognised, discussed, and reviewed in the context of Korea's politics of de-colonisation and (colonial) modernity.

edit: a month ago, I visited Busan and I called at Busan modern and contemporary historical museum which makes the most of the building of the former Chosen Bank Busan branch.

Do you think foreign engagement in train operation is beneficial?

You know, after the dismantling of the (previous) national British rail, a remarkable amount of foreign investment has been made to operate British trains with the technique and know-hows applied in their origin countries.

Are their investments regarded as positive? why?

For long time 屯門 residents, what was your transit like before KCR was inaugurated?

You know, until KCR 西鐵綫(West Rail Line)-now MTR Tuen Ma line- was launched, Tuen Mun area had been geographically separate and remote from Kowloon's downtown like TST.

How did you commute? after all buses? then how was the connection between them and the Light Rail?

[Travel Tips]How cashless is Perth? Like public transportation and so on.

As the title goes, I'm travelling from Tokyo to the WA this July and I wonder how much I should bring cash to exchange for AUD.

I'd like to know how cashless the city is, or whether I'd better use cash in terms of exchange rate(even considering foreign credit card fee).

Plus, doesn't Perth's transport card have an ApplePay version like Suica, Octopus-card, and Oyster card?

九龍城 sta. before 東鉄線's extension to 金鐘: how busy and conjested was it

tips: excuse me for inadvertently making a silly title. it's about 九龍塘

It's just for a reminiscence of the past MTR.

You know, until 沙田至中環線's opening as the two Pre-KCR lines' extension, 九龍塘站 had functioned as main interchange between 東鉄線 and MTR(觀塘綫).

As TST's transfer route between 屯馬(西鉄) and 荃湾 lines is a little long and takes some time, 九龍塘's changing road is thought to have been the most important for New Territories residents' commuting and trip to Kowloon and HK island, thus to have caused a severe traffic jam in the station, in particular in rush hours.

How is your remembrance?

Why in Korea, is JSDF's described as "paramilitary/準軍事組織/준군사조직?

You know, Japan's JSDF(自衛隊/Japan Self Defence Force) is officially declared not to be the military due to her Constitution's article 9 which prohibits the land of rising sun from possessing any armament to settle its international dispute…

In contrast, Japan's military power is ranked as the world's 9th strongest one. Therefore foreign documents, books, and ariticles (like items in English) are apt to treat it as Japan's regular national force, considering its de facto status.

Then, as I read some articles in Korean such as things in Namu Wiki, JSDF tends to be juxtaposed with the word 준군사조직. What kind of dynamics is behind this denomination?

I ask this question sheerly out of curiosity.

HKIA T2: will it be equipped with fancy air lounges?

I'm fond of T1's elaborate and hospitable air lounges such as Kyra where bartenders serve handmade cocktails in person and you can enjoy many useful facilities and decent foods.

I often use LCCs as frugal(not stingy, I hope) tourist flyer but those airlines are expected to remove to T2.
Considering the attributes of their customer base, would it be impossible for such LCC passengers to be entertained with this kind of excellent equipment?

Well, there might be HKIA's official announcement on T2's interior services, I'd like to hear of them too.

My information: occasional HK Express User from and To Tokyo, a Priority Pass holder.

As the title goes, and I'm writing these sentences right on the way to the city.

you know, Korea is said to be relatively strict on lone eaters, though recently eating alone is more and more accepted in social life.

Then for lone travellers, what'd be my options?
I'd like to eat Korean BBQ at a reasonable price.
Of course other dishes are welcome! I'd appreciate if you show your specific recommendations of cafeterias.

tips: I've been to Busan twice and I've had a 강장케장 meal, a seafood setmeal in 자갈치 시장 and so on. plus I'm Japanese.

the photos are what I ate during my last trip.
