北上消費 represented? from r/MapPorn Passenger Traffic by Immigration Control Point, Hong Kong 2025

So higher rates of northward passengers than southward ones…kinda symbolic, lah?

Are there any Foreign Domestic Workers here? what's your life like?

You know, their existence comprises one of HK's daily life's essential aspects, better or worse.

However, I don't guess their presence on this subreddit is as large as in HK's reality.

Doesn't any one of them stay here? let's chat.

Expats including Foreign Domestic Workers, how do you see HK's local festivities? Do you join in them or not?

You know, Chinese vernacular feasts look very exotic for expats, even for southeastern asians.

Do you find them very attractive, or too foreign to take for yourself?

My potential itinerary for September Benelux and France sole tour.

The essence of my plan is shown in the OP, but I'd like to listen to your counsel.

I'm from Tokyo, Japan, and I'm planning to visit the western europe from 11 to 22(the period is subject to extention and contraction…f*ck Japan's holidays customs)

My route consists of these cities/regions, currently.
-Amsterdam
-Brussels
-Paris
-Mt St Michelle
-Lyon/Marseille
-Côté d'Azur

Is my 12-day trip too busy or not so bad? which spot in particular is recommendable from your own experience?

thanks!

(some premises)
- I have a few friends of mine, living in Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris, respectively.
-The latter two of them have generously offered to accommodate me for nightstays. The Paris guy lives near the Tour d'Effel.
-I'm a railfan and also susceptible to carsick, so I prefer to ride Trains(TGV? bravo. TER? très génial!). Bus is ok but taking one for long would lead to being ill. driving myself isn't in my bucket list unfortunately.

ETIAS for Japanese tourist; Do you guys have any information on its introduction date?

I'm a male Japanese who is considering a trip to the Schengen area(Benelux and France) this September(maybe 11th to 22nd). However, ETIAS is supposed to be implemented within 2026.

I read Japan's MoFA site on ETIAS and they say it's expected to be applicable in 4Q of this year.

So…am I exempted from this duty for this trip?

Well, in these conditions where EU's new entry programmes are bringing about some turmoil, its inauguration might be postponed to as late as possible, but I just want to conform.

Do you know "ChocoZAP" in HK?

This is Japan's fast-developping fitness gym franchise chain, and I read that this has been being rooted in HK for a few years.

First Class for Metropolitan Railway

Hong Kong MTR's East Rail Line's First Class(OP's pics), JR East Tokyo Area's Green Car for local trains, JR West's "SUWALOCA(reserved seat for ordinary trains)"…

there are some "superior seat" services to make sure of passengers' more comfortable commuting.

What's your own experience of such things? what do you think of them?

What's your own ridership experience of Southern China Airline's long-haul flight?

I'm thinking of getting on a service from Tokyo to Paris via Guangzhou with the layover there(around 5 hours).

On googling, I found some ambivalent opinions on its customer experience…attendance, foods, interior facilities, seat gap, and particularly other passengers' noise(you-know-what).

Have you ever tried it? is it really a good value for price or unworthy, or does the price represent its quality?

Well…as compared with Cathay's offer between those two cities for around 220,000 yen(it's already been quite discounted for their brand, though), the OP's airline's return-ticket for 130,000 yen is ground-breaking.

Search Engine/OTA I referred to: Agoda
Nationality: Japan
Potential date of departure: September
