Not ashamed= being proud??

This girl keeps insisting, not ashamed equals being proud. So I showed her emotions have spectrum, that there is an "accepting" stage, but she refuses to hear, saying not ashamed has "roots" to proud, so "not ashamed" equals "being proud". Am I dumb? Or is this girl saying nonsense?

Edit: this girl is calling me a psycho for changing the narrative so I'm adding some more info. Sorry it's so long but she'll jump at me again if I simplify too much > op(korean) was saying "why are people keep talking about North korea like it's a shameful thing? Not a single person wants unity"

> this girl comes in and says "It’s pretty shameful you allowed United States to split your country up and blahblah"

> I point out its not her business with this situation and show respect to korean history and pain

> she insist that she is stating "political criticism", and because op was "lying" about how many people don't want unity, which was 39% and not 0, she states > "Making a post with false statistics seems to mean this person is being proud"

Is there a seasonal thing happening with cresteys right now?

My location is southeast Asia and we are in the middle of summer where the heat goes up to 35,36°c. I'm working at a reptile shop and these days the crested geckos are acted quite weird. Male, female both will try to eat my finger, run around wildly, and will stare at me with hungry eyes. We feed them once every 2 days so it's not the hunger driving them. Some will think it's normal for geckos to act crazy, but I'm talking about almost all of the adults are acting wild, even the usual tame and gentle, slow ones that never ran, will run up to eat me. Some customers even called us that their geckos are acting so differently and were worried if this was a problem.

Breeding season over here is around winter to spring, so they aren't crazy for matting. And they were fine just least week.🤨

Huge fat tail?

NOT MINE! IT'S A CUSTOMER'S FAT TAIL! ALSO TOLD HIM TO ABSOLUTELY GO TO THE VET TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!

So a customer came in with a fat tail gecko and it was the biggest one I ever seen during my 9 years of reptile keeping. I know it's really fat, but it's just really big from the start??? Can they get this big? He says the gecko is just 1year old now but it's about 25cm already???

Also I already lectured him for 30mins about going to the vet asap and going on a diet so please don't write an essay about the owner. I'm not asking about how bad the owner is, I'm asking if it's possible for the gecko to be this big.

Why is there two red spots on my monitor's a$$hole?

Sorry but it's literally right at the a$$hole so...it's my blue tail monitor, over half a year old(not 100% accurate, was sick and lean when I got it) I was feeding it various meat and bugs, eggs and it had been doing well. Are these red spots like an infection? Or just a temporary thing because some dirt got stuck?

What is this growth?

So the ocellated skinks had babies yesterday and all are good except of this one. I thought is was something stuck but after a closer look it's an abnormal growth on the neck. This is not my baby so I can't take it to the vet right away. It wiggles and runs and jumps normally, I didn't see it eat yet. Will this guy have a chance of living? If the chance is not low I'll try adopting it and give it a better environment.

Control your kids at a reptile shop please?

So I work in a reptile shop and people with kids will occasionally come by to look around. And 90% kids, especially boys around elementary or kindergarten, will start shouting at the snakes that they are evil, poisonous creatures that need to be "put down" and start acting herotic and throw fists at the snake as if the snakes will attack his family.(girls are just scared and hide)

Yeah they are kids that know nothing about snakes, nor they know that except of hognoses, our country forbids venomous snakes being sold as pets. And the media always making snakes the evil, cunning creature that just waits for the opportunity to pounce on people.

But why do the parents just be like "our kid is so brave and kind☺️" and just watch proudly while their kid is shouting and pouncing around a snake that is in a reptile shop??? Usually i just tell their kids to chill but it still gets to my nerves. Like....u can clearly see me cradling a ball python in my arms while your kid is screaming at my to k1ll it...? I sometimes snap and tell the kid that there is no other creature more evil than humans so shut up, but that really doesn't change the kid's mind I guess.

Anyways, hope parents control their kids acting aggressive towards animals in an animal shop, and this is my hoggy that bit me

Shame her for luring me with her cute face and bitting me

You're so cute, why can't I pet you😭 just one time!

(Also the cage looks empty because I was cleaning out her cage because of flies)

What did they do to this guy😭

I was searching for a new exotic vet close to me and was scrolling through the reviews

And this poor gecko is bandaged like a cross😭😭 the owner didn't explain what happened so I don't know why this guy ended up like this but I'm sorry this is hilarious 😭😭😭

The doctor is one of the best in my country with exotic pets so I believe this was the best for the gecko, but still....!

Does my bluetail look fine?

First pic is when I first got her(or him)

Still skittish but quite fine once I start handling her(or him)

I thought she was quite skinny so I have her on a meat and egg base diet(before she only had bugs). Been about a month or so now, does she look fine?

Also is mostly meat base diet fine? She loves meat and I feed her every 2~3days, meats are whole grind quail, duck breast, chicken breast, chicken heart, shrimp, raw quail eggs. I did hear ackies are fine with meat base diet but blue tail is new to me. If bugs are necessary I'll start putting crickets in her diet starting tomorrow.(my country banned any type of roaches so I only have the options of crickets, mealworms, and superworms. no hornworms either)

Can I put Water Hyacinth in the water that Quince monitor will use?

I know it's not toxic because many people use it when keeping fish. But will the monitor like it? I was thinking it would give some coverage because they're usually skittish. Will it get tangled in the roots when swimming?

I wish people will just shut up about my love life lol

Being asexual is actually not that surprising in my country, compared to being gay. They'll be like, oh so....you don't have sex? Dang

BUT THEN THEY'LL START RANTING ABOUT WHAT MY "HUSBAND" WILL WANT, WHY I "NEED" TO HAVE SEX AND KIDS AND MAKE A FAMILY WITH MY HUSBAND, TELLING ME TO "TRY" SEX BECAUSE ME NOT WANTING SEX IS NONSENSE AND NEED TO GET READY FOR MY HUSBAND

Like, why are you worrying about MY freaking husband???? If he wants sex, he's out of the page in the first place, duh. He's not going to be my husband in the first place lol

Yeah just wanted to let out some steam here. A random ass customer came to me and started asking stuff. When I said I adopted a monitor lizard, he scuffed and said

" u shouldn't get new reptiles. You won't be able to marry"

I think I lost a few brain cells there trying to understand his words. Then he said

"What if your husband doesn't like reptiles? You should get rid of them"

Sir? That's not your freaking business??? Don't you talk about my babies like that???

So I said, of course I'm choosing a man that loves reptiles and is asexual like me. Then he started saying what if my husband wants kids, what if he wants sex, what if blahblah

SHUT UP I HAVE A CUTE ASEXUAL,ANMIAL LOVING GUY THAT HAS A CRUSH ON ME, AND IM GOING TO DATE HIM SO FUCK OFF

I will never understand why people are soooo worried about my "husband's" sex life lol. It's MY life first of all.

Just wanted to share my ackie sleeping in my sweater hat

Rip baby. I'm so sorry I couldn't save you when you were scared. You believed in me and I let you down.

Does bearded dragons get angry when someone gets a hair cut?

So i work at a reptile shop in east asia, and this adult bearded dragon that was surrendered years ago is usually chill(unless I have gloves on). We've been chill for a few month now.

I had a hair cut this week and cut my hair short. When this guy saw me, started to black beard and nod its head. Doesn't really attack me, but sometimes will run up to me and show dominance. It's so sudden its hard to take a video too. Is it because of my hair? It doesn't care about my clothes.

Had a very long conversation with a Muslim guy lol

So I(26f) met a Muslim guy(19m) in a random match while playing games, and he started saying stuff like "you're the most kind person I ever met" "you sound so special" "I really want to know about more of you" and to my experience, 90% of the time this never went good so I wasn't serious about the comments, and when he asked about my dating life I straight up told him I'm asexual.

And he just couldn't fadom that I was not a "normal" straight woman, started saying I must never have got a chance(of what, s3x?) So again told him I dated 4 times and I'm going for a 5th and he couldn't believe I would never have even kissed someone lol.

And when I said I'm not having kid(a choice, not because I'm ace) he took out the Quran and Bible and started ranting about Adam and eve and how God made us to go through the miracles he made and that is one of the reasons of life(reproducing and being a part of "normal") So....I was just listening to a mad scientist's speech a whole night while broadcasting it to my asexual friend lol. Anytime he would start to push me to believe in Quran, I would just ask another question and listen to him frantically trying to find an answer(ex: asked where Adam and eve started humanity and when he said it was the central Asia mountains I said "well, the ai you love so much tells me they started from Africa" and he was screaming that couldn't be true, and started to look through the Quran frustrated😂)

This "you can't be ace" thing just happens frequently, and met the craziest people, so it doesn't get to my nerves but it was quite wild to see a religious person go through his religion so intensely just because I said no s3x, no kids lol

So blue tailed usually need 70~90% humidity so I initially thought of some big driftwood with coco husk, moss, soil mix, and heavy rocks stacked up. But my friend that has a Nile monitor told me to not get drift wood because if it starts to tail wip it'll hurt its tail(she needed to amputate her Niles tail), and instead told me to buy stuff used for big parrots because they are more soft

So my question is

  1. Will the coco husk and moss not mold with that high humidity?

  2. The blue tail is quite tamed, and will keep working on it. Will it not tail wip if I tame it well?

  3. Is it fine to buy parrot stuff just for enrichment? Or will it mold? (materials are wood, hay, cloth)
