very mildly infuriating

bea. the jack of all trades marksman, master of none. outclassed by every single option out there, dodged the marksman buffs and is getting powercreeped after every update, after every balance change. but why? she should be rising in the meta, she should have rose in the meta where bull and bibi shot up. but she didn't. even with ash, damian, bolt, meg, even starr nova to some extent high up in the meta, she stays in a solid high c low b tier.

the thing with bea is that in esports, brawlers in that tier have their use cases, like barley, sprout and sandy, but bea just doesn't have a use case. so far (from what i could find) in july monthly finals she had a zero percent pick and ban rate in na, sesa and ea, one ban in emea, and one pick in sa (but sa doesn't count because it's sa). in a meta where cc dominates, the cc marksman fails to perform.

the funny thing is, ever since her hypercharge came out she has been slowly moving down the rabkings. the only nerf i recall her having is a hypercharge rate nerf, and that's all i remember. well that nerf, and the nerf i call lumi.

lumi is bea but better. we knew this was coming as soon as you saw the word bea. even her hypercharge can't save the insect from getting stomped by a morning star. lumi can slow with attacks, root with a super, create ice on the ground. she is the new cc marksman. but why, when lumi is banned, is bea not a good pick? she is squishy like lumi, but she even has more survivability than her because of the sheer amount of damage she can output with a fully charged attack and super. this is an question i somehow cannot answer, because im simply too tired.
edit- the comments have also told me about the fact that beas range is a lot more than lumi and i agree, i tested it out in the training cave

ok i thought of someone i think nanis power creeping her since nani has insane damage, more range and barely gets banned, let alone alongside lumi
edit- sorry it's pierce that power creeps her, hes literally bea but with more range, a faster projectile, and can have infinite charge up shots, unlike bea who can only have one every two shots

oh ive also thought because bea has quite a slow projectile that she isn't fit for her best gamemodes, bounty and knockout, because tanks barely get played there and that's her niche right now

that's was a very unsatisfying conclusion honestly it's 1am rn i cba

bonus buffs

i would personally buff her health a little and possibly decrease both her gadget cooldowns, slowing more than rattled

and also improve her hypercharge

health- 5600 to 6000

slowing gadget- 20s to 16s

rattled- 24s to 22s

hypercharge bee amount- +2

TLDR

bea is a forgotten brawler, she is powercrept and outclassed, even though she's a tank counter in a rather tank heavy meta

and since its the last day of school tomorrow theres a high chance they'll ask me out

bo was the problem with their draft (he was also pretty bad) but im pretty sure it was a cheese draft because whenever they got their supers we got swept

i was able to play around the rt surprisingly well

they just walked into the bots and shot at them

freel free to question any of my placements, im sure to have a valid reason for it
also recommendations for moving brawlers are very welcome, we can always improve
ps- before anyone asks about kit he realized that his attitude towards life had to change sometime, and in this life or death battle, he chose to be valiant, and attached to damian for most of the battle, giving the brawlers a huge advantage

edit- a few rules i set for this to give the brawlers a chance
all of the brawlers start with their hypercharged supers and can charge them in battle
the Pokemon can't dynamax or use any of those bullshit moves

for a quick explanation, bounty hideout 3 rounds, we had no range and i swapped with gene for the meeple

the gene went on the miss 2-3 pulls and pearl went on to kill me thrice my following me after being shot by belle

i was the only reliable source of range here (pearl stole my kills)

but not to sugarcoat myself, i did terribly 😭
