Hands-On Impressions drop this week - Hamaguchi: "The global media tour for FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION is finally reaching its last stop today."

"The global media tour for FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION, which began at Gamescom, is finally reaching its last stop here in Los Angeles today.

Yesterday, after a rare rain shower in LA, I was lucky enough to see a double rainbow 🌈🌈

I’m taking it as a good sign to finish strong and give it my all on this final day!✨"

Hamaguchi said after Pax West the embargo will lift and many articles/previews will release from the media that played Revelation. today is the final day of interviews in LA so the embargo must lift tomorrow, thursday, or friday. i would assume thursday since Square likely wouldn't want to share the news with Nintendo tomorrow due to the direct. i'm so xcited for the impressions, i wana see more gameplay and hear people talking about it so bad! will be so much content to stay busy with until TGS

anyone know what day specifically impressions will come out?

edit: the embargo possibly lifts on friday, media member Jesse Cox said "Got to play an early preview for #FF7Revelation today!

I can’t say anything now but expect me to talk about something very specific on friday’s Geekenders 😏" https://x.com/JesseCox/status/2097400581258428478

could lift earlier than that and he's just talking about it friday bc he has a show tho

edit2: another person who played, John Q Gamer said he is doing a big Pax West recap on thursday at 6pm est so it'll likely lift then https://x.com/john_q_gamer/status/2097417226655821866

State of Play potentially on September 3rd

no reliable sources but there are some rumblings that September's state of play will be very soon, even next week on Thursday the 3rd. at least we won't have to wait long to see if it's true since the announcement would come on tuesday or wednesday

xcancel no longer works so i will put links in a comment

(link in comment) Nate the Hate replies to someone that says there's a rumor the SoP is on September 3rd

https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/s/vj8iOJTD6G user /u/PitifulPiccolo3010 claims the SoP is September 3rd

(link in comment) someone says there's a rumor the SoP is coming first week of september

(link in comment) Nate says the September SoP is "incredibly likely and soon"

like i said there's no reliable source so take with a huge grain of salt

FF7 Revelation will have guest party members that are playable

"At key points in the game, there are developments in the story where Zack appears, as in the previous game, and other guest characters join as playable characters."

https://news.denfaminicogamer.jp/interview/2606063n

pretty interesting. we can definitely assume that Aerith and Zack will be playable, and maybe Sephiroth like in Rebirth. i wonder if there will be any others

FF7 Revelation has a job system, allowing you to equip different outfits that give new stats and abilities

example: Cloud can become a Warrior and Tifa can become a Black Mage!

edit: this was posted right after the reveal, we have more information now

-each character has 4 FITS

-they don't alter stats but they do provide unique movesets and playstyles

"Achieve new heights of power with the FITS system by equipping unique outfits that bestow new movesets, evoking classic FINAL FANTASY jobs like Black Mage and Warrior."
