I'll start off by saying we all know the turbos were never "upgraded". If you still believe infiniti has revamped the seals, you are clearly baiting/trolling.

From owning this car a decade now I've seen a million blown turbo posts. Whether it's on here, FB, or other online forums. I have seen a plethora more turbos blowing on 2019+ then I have seen on 16-17.

My theory is, I imagine lots of other guys were similar to myself when they picked one up when they first came out.

I thought, wow, a scaled down gtr engine. How cool. Of course, having prior knowledge on the VR platform and turbo vehicles in general, I drove and maintained it properly from the word go.

Fast forward to 2019 when these cars were coming off lease for pennies, now you have the G crowd and anyone else wanting to go fast for cheap picking up a vr30. These drivers aren't knowledgeable on turbo vehicles and end up blowing them up.

Curious as to what other people's thoughts are!

I can't believe people are still believing the "upgraded turbo" snake oil.

Honeywell bought Garrett motion in 2018. They then started producing the same turbo, under the Garrett name. No changes to the seals or anything.

Just because YOU blew your turbos up, doesn't mean you need to blame it on the platform.

Edit 2018 revision was the name swap.

Every post I see where someone has chrome deleted their q50. The door handles are still chrome, glistening in the sunlight.

I've always been under the impression that black/murdering out cars means you delete ALL the chrome.

Maybe I am too old and things have changed to the point where a murdered whip, still has a bit of chrome..?

Personally one of the reasons I bought a q was for all the chrome, especially the pre-2018s. You get that extra chrome trim on your trunk. Once again, maybe this is also my age showing.

Hopefully someone can enlighten me on this new trend of leaving chrome on blacked/murdered cars!

I have recently picked up a 3080 trinity for my girls PC.

When running steel nomad and playing games. The card sits around 80-84°C.

I've never had a zotac card before and have always heard they run loud and hot.

I've had a tuf 3080 and I currently have a ftw3 3080ti in my rig. Neither of these cards get anywhere close to 80°C. I think the warmest I ever saw the tuf 3080 was 68-70°C.

Is this a normal temp for under load with a 3080 trinity? Or should I be re applying new thermal paste?

I recently upgraded some components in my PC:

3700x > 5800x

9060xt 8gb > 3080 10gb

16gb ram > 32gb ram

Air cooler > 360mm aio

Rest of the components are the same.

750w psu

B550 motherboard

Couple nvme

When I ran steel nomad before the new components, I was getting around 3600 (36fps)

Now with all the new components I'm getting about 3300 (33fps)

Anyone know what might be the issue? All drivers are up to date.

I'll start off by saying I'm not grouping all owners of their respective engines together. Just a large majority.

It seems on here, Facebook, or any other q50 forum there is a very noticeable difference between the different engine owners.

Someone will post a question, or there will be a discussion post, and the most unintellectual responses will start flying out From 3.7 owners.

They also seem to get angry on the keyboard alot faster when you try to educate them.

Anyone else notice this trend? Obviously theyre not all like that, but with the amount of posts and comments I see from them, you would think they all are.

My theory is 3.7 qs are significantly cheaper than 3.0. So I imagine lots of young people getting their license are picking up 3.7 for their first car.

3.5 & 2.0 not mentioned as they don't create enough ruckus to be talked about.

Upgrading one of my rigs from a 3700x.

From what I'm seeing, my current 120mm air cooler will not be sufficient.

Is this true? If so, what kind of coolers would be suitable for this 5800x? TIA

So at my job I work 9 hour days. With a 30 min unpaid lunch break.

I live in Manitoba. And to my understanding the break law is the same as federal.

You need to take an unpaid 30min break for every 5hrs of consecutive work.

Now, my employer is telling me I need to take two 15min unpaid coffee breaks. One in the morning, and one in the afternoon.

My question is, are they allowed to force me to take 30 more min of unpaid break?

My understanding was the only breaks you are required to take is a 30min break for every 5 hours of consecutive work.
