Spider in my bathroom (South east England)

it’s body is probably just under 1cm and legspan 3cm? just guessing obviously. its been hanging around my bathroom wall near the ceiling for 24 hours now. moving around to different parts of the room and hasn’t made a web or anything. Pictures arent the best but it has no patterns or anything and looks slightly more reddish irl. im sorry im too scared to get closer in case it falls on me :(

Feeling discouraged by parent comments.

We recently had a child graduate who had emotional regulation issues and violent outbursts. We were in constant communication with the parents and even allowed the child to come in early every day before opening time to lessen the stimulation of all the other children at handover. The mum was always extremely curt and rude with us despite us offering and asking about new ways to help. our manager asked if anything changed at home because the behaviour was quite sudden and Mum got really defensive.

Mum would linger a lot in the mornings and it seemed to make the handover situation more upsetting for her child. One day i tried to gently guide her child into the building and she yelled at me not to pull her, but I didn’t. If she had resisted I would not have forced her, I literally just put a hand on her shoulder gently and started to walk with her. she was coming with me but when mum spoke she ran back to her. I thought it was normal to do this as my experienced coworkers who trained me do it constantly. i only passed my qualification a couple of months ago. i apologised immediately anyway and if that isnt a good thing to do then im sorry. a lot of my coworkers are older and old fashioned maybe.

Now this parent is telling the school she hated the nursery and the school teachers are coming and telling us. I just feel really discouraged. I was a student still while this was all happening and this child was beating on me constantly and verbally insulting me. She would pinch and hit and bite and tell me things like “i hate you and i hope it hurts” and “this time im really going to hurt you idiot”. I was going home in tears constantly and yet I still tried my best to help with the situation. I thought it was all over but now I’m scared she’s spreading gossip about us. i really always try my best and follow my superiors advice but i am a very anxious person and sensitive to others opinions of me so the idea of people hating me makes me so sad. her child loved me when she was calm and spoke about me constantly so i cant have been that bad surely. i dont know ugh.

eta: the necessary reports were made for anyone concerned.

i struggle to believe her body positivity messages due to how she treats her own body

“beauty comes in every form” apparently but you got plastic surgery and got skinny. i dont know i do support womens choices to do whatever they want with their bodies, but when you want yourself to be skinny with big boobs it feels like that’s what you actually think is beautiful. am i wrong? i dont know if im being too judgmental, the messaging doesn’t seem to match the actions and gives me complicated feelings.

question about merch. [other]

How discreet is the packaging for official merch? I’d like to buy something for my partner’s birthday, but I’m worried he might see any branding on the outside and have the surprise spoiled. I’ll order it to my family’s house instead of ours if it’s an issue. Sorry if this isn’t the kind of thing i can post here.

this is a crow, right?

I don’t think it looks like a raven, but it’s definitely large in comparison to my usual crow visitors. is it just a particularly big crow?? i live on the edge of Hove/Brighton, south England, near the countryside.
