Cover Screen

Question, I just got the flip 8. (Had a 5 years ago so I'm somewhat familiar.) I've been watching YouTube videos for tips and tricks and the most common videos are for the 7 which i know is similar.

On the cover screen in videos, you could scroll back to the unlock screen/time. I also remember being able to do this. But it appears on the 8 its not an option now? You have to lock the phone to go back to the home screen.

Is there a setting im missing or was this ability removed?

First month done

My first month on Oz. I see my doctor tomorrow to discuss moving up to .5.

No real side effects except a little heart burn.

I lost 6.4lbs.. off the scale I noticed my belly is less hard..its more squishy. In my comparison photos, it appears that my belly has shrunk some. I noticed gaps between my arms and torso where there wasnt any in the previous photo. So im feeling positive so far..

Looking for a woman who showed incredible kindness to me at Kootenay Boundary General Hospital in 1999

Looking for a woman who showed incredible kindness to me at Kootenay Boundary General Hospital in 1999

This is probably a long shot, but it's something I've thought about for over 25 years.

Around 1999, when I had my tonsils and adenoids removed at Kootenay Boundary General Hospital, I was 10 years old (almost 11). Back then, parents weren't allowed to stay overnight for these kind of surgeries, so I found myself alone in the hospital and absolutely terrified.

There was a mother staying on the ward whose little boy, around five years old, was there for heart surgery. I remember her telling me that she didn't know if he would survive.

Despite everything she was going through, she took care of me.

She bought me flowers in a little vase, crossword puzzle books, and magazines. She checked on me throughout the evening and made sure I wasn't scared while she waited for news about her own son.

I've never forgotten her.

As I've gotten older, I think about her often. I wonder how she managed to show so much kindness when she herself must have been terrified. I've also wondered whether her little boy made it through his surgery.

I'm not looking for any private medical information, and I completely respect everyone's privacy. I would simply love the opportunity to thank her—or, if she's no longer with us, to let her family know that her compassion changed a frightened little girl's experience and has stayed with me for more than 25 years.

I've recently contacted Interior Health to request the exact date of my surgery, as I believe it happened sometime in 1999. Once I receive that information, I'll update this post.

If this story sounds familiar to anyone, or if you think you might know the family I'm talking about, I'd be incredibly grateful if you reached out.

Even if I never find her, I hope somehow she knew that the kindness she showed a scared 10-year-old child would be remembered for a lifetime.

Carry Case

I needed a carry case for my ring. I often get medical scans and need to take my ring off so I needed somewhere i could safely put it. Well I got this ear plug case (which I also have for ear plugs), and it fits my ring perfectly!! I put in ring sizer pads for protection and it makes it a snug fit.

Just an idea if anyone needs to take off their ring for any reason.

This case will fit up to a size 12 barely!!! So ring sizer pads won't work for that size. My ring is an 11 do anything smaller should be fine.

My husband has a 13 and we found a different option for him.

Edit to add: mine is only tight cause of the size of the ring. If you have a smaller ring I suggest putting the foam ring sizers on the lid as well.

Headache Tracking

I was on the website and it said it takes 4-6 weeks of data to determine headaches.

Do we have to manually track when we're having a headache? I was checking out this section last night and found that this is where you can start tracking a headache and when it ends. Is this required? Or will the ring eventually determine headaches?

Which finger?

Just wondering if people notice any differences in tracking depending on the finger the ring is worn on?

I had one on my pointer and while I'm mostly used to it, I might be more used to it on my ring finger but its recommended for the pointer?

Anyone have any insights.

I'm returning this one as its an air and I might get the gen 2, so trying to figure out which finger I should repurchase for lol.

A little Pandora Universe

I love the way these photos turned out. They remind me so much of the jungle on Pandora. Colourful and almost illuminated..if you let your imagination see the specks as illumination anyway 😋
