In Timebound, stepping in a pool makes your feet wet and leaves wet footsteps that dry out after several seconds. Each foot is tracked separately.
When the player character walks through a puddle in Timebound, each foot has its own individual wetness value. Step in with your right foot and keep your left dry - only the right leaves wet prints. The footsteps gradually fade as the wetness factor decreases, drying out over several seconds.
Is this mechanic important to the game in any way? Absolutely not. Timebound is a rule-discovery puzzle adventure and no puzzle has anything to do with wet feet. But this is my game, I have free will, and I have chosen to use it to simulate the independent moisture levels of a fictional girl's feet. I'm wondering if anyone ever notices things like that
