Help! String of characters appended to received SMS texts after temporarily switching to google messages

So 99% of the time I use a galaxy s7 that isn't rooted, but stripped down to basic phone functions with android debloater tool because carrying a smartphone 24/7 was ruining my life. Every once in a blue moon I need the smartphone functionality (like picking up from a certain type of amazon locker or a fb marketplace pickup) so I swap my sim to a note 10 and then back again. That system has been working perfectly for about a year and a half, until a couple weeks ago I swapped to my note 10 and it made me switch to google messages for texts.

After I swapped back, every incoming SMS has a bunch of characters appended to the message, so it's like "yup got your message*/=3w0WaA". I assume it has something to do with RCS and encryption. I tried putting google messages on this phone (begrudgingly) but the app just crashes immediately on opening. Anybody have a fix? It's not the end of the world but it is annoying. Running android 8.

I just moved to Fenton... help

Hey guys, I'm from the west side (kalamazoo) and moved to my mom's house in Fenton a couple weeks ago and the most interesting thing I've done so far was buy paint from home depot. I know Fenton is a bit of a hike from Flint, but if anybody is familiar with the area, is there anything around here other than strip malls and gas stations? Where the gays at? I refuse to believe I'm the only mid-20s twink in this entire fuckin town. There's gotta be SOMETHING here... right...?

My favorite thing to do in kzoo was a once-a-month queer goth rave at a local dive bar, is there anything like that nearby? Even if I have to drive my 2005 honda civic gay ass to flint, help me out here I'm already starting to lose my mind in the suburbs lol

This game is structured PERFECTLY for learning/practicing a second language

My second language is Spanish, I learned in high school ten years ago and haven't had much opportunity to practice. So I thought, I'll change the language to Spanish. That's great and all but there are so few cutscenes and the subtitles are still in English so I wasn't really learning anything. So I changed my whole-ass switch to Spanish and in just a few hours of playing not only have I encountered new words, but had the opportunity to apply them with the puzzles! For example, I learned that bestia = beast from the divine beasts, and learned that lanza is a spear/lance/halberd (they seem to all be the same word) from picking up weapons. Then I encountered a Kass puzzle that said "un bestia con dos lanzas" which made me apply the vocab that I learned. And that happens ALL the time, turning what used to be a kinda lame fetch quest into a mini vocab quiz. I'll encounter an animal, say its name out loud and go "I'll remember that", and then I don't because that's how it works lol. But then someone asks me to get them "mantequilla de cabra" and I'm like, "wtf is that" and search my memory and remember that "cabra" means goat and think about what ingredient in the game has "goat" in the name, and if you've played the game enough then you too have probably already guessed by now that "mantequilla" is butter. And now because I had to figure that out, I know and remember both of those words!

The way the game is structured is literally perfect for language learning: introduce a word, maybe see it a couple more times, then have to apply it. If you're looking for a reason to do a fresh playthrough, this is fantastic and like experiencing the game for the first time. It makes the riddles a lot more challenging but also a lot more rewarding when I'm not really sure what all the words mean and have to figure it out from context (and from my vague memory of solving it years ago lol). Highly recommend!

Is anybody else kinda disappointed by how easy this game is to cheese?

Pardon the negativity as I love this game, I truly do, but I keep finding myself repeatedly disappointed at how just about every challenge in the game can be easily circumvented, making it a not very rewarding experience. For example, what prompted me to make this post is I just realized that in the sand shroud in the desert, it only applies the static effect to the ground level map. Navigating the desert with poor visibility and no map or compass SHOULD be an interesting challenge, and it was, until by accident I discovered that you can just set the map to the sky and you both the compass back on the minimap and can even see the ground map well enough to be able to tell exactly where you are, completely eliminating the challenge. Then I found the drifting fire shrine and for about five seconds it seemed like an interesting puzzle, but then I just dropped a shield on the button to see if it would weigh it down and it did, so I could very easily shoot fire arrows at the things to open the door. I can't even tell if I solved it or if I cheesed it.

And I feel like that's a pattern throughout the entire game, where I can kinda see the foundation of an intended challenge but there's a very obvious cheese that I don't even feel clever for finding because it seems like an oversight rather than a creative solution. Like being able to see the desert perfectly fine, compass included, by switching to the sky map. I remember in botw finding things like that made me feel like I outsmarted the game, but in TotK I legitimately can't tell if they intentionally left you the sky and depths maps while you're in the desert shroud or if they just forgot to apply the effect. I'm leaning towards "they forgot", because they made a point of telling you that the shroud makes compasses go haywire, and what, does Link have a special different compass for the sky that's immune to interference? And from a game design perspective, the shroud is the primary challenge of the desert given that the ability to make your own elemental weapons completely trivializes surviving every climate. So I can't imagine they would intentionally give players a very easy "nuh-uh" to the main challenge of the area, defeating the entire point. The reason this particular exploit is so disappointing to me is that before I noticed it, I was actually having a ton of fun exploring the shroud and getting turned around. The feeling of being actually genuinely lost in the open-world Hyrule and having no way to orient myself except by physical landmarks was like re-experiencing that first time gliding down from the Great Plateau almost a decade ago. Then woops, nevermind, I do have a map and compass after all.

If you disagree, please by all means convince me that I'm wrong. I love this game and want nothing more than to have fun playing it and NOT realize that I've wasted over a hundred hours again and again and again thinking that there's going to be a fun challenge only for there stupidly easy workaround every goddamn time.

My brother and I have a multiplayer server

and today we were having trouble connecting. I kept sending him invites but it just was not showing up in his steam. Now, I don't have many steam friends, so most of the time my brother is the only one of my friends online so I just click the top of the list without thinking about it. Except he was not my only steam friend online today, oh no. Because you see, my ex, who I have not bothered to unfriend on steam, was also online today. I have not interacted with this person for five years UNTIL TODAY, when I spammed her with project zomboid invites. A game that she does not own, does not play, and last I knew had never heard of.

Unfriend your exes, kids. Five years. Five. Years.

Valve cover bolts are stripped to shit, am I cooked?

I swear to god I didn't do it lol. I have ONE bolt on the valve cover that actually tightens properly, fortunately the middle one but the rest can tighten to somewhere between almost snug and just barely not completely loose. At the moment it's not leaking from either the gasket or the tube seals. Has anybody had any success heliocoil-ing the valve cover bolts?

So like, does the gallery just not work half the time? Is that just how it is now?

I've been playing the game offline for three or four years, finally logged back in specifically to get more tattoos from the gallery. And the gallery will sometimes work, but will often just say "no results found". Did some searching and found posts going back to 2024 with the exact same issue??? Is that just how it is now? How long has the gallery just been broken?

Nothing to see here, just making friendly conversation with the cow while waiting for it to turn back into a cop so she can command it to leave. The flamingo is also a cop.

What happened to the main sims4 subreddit?

I'm a long-time simmer, been playing the sims for about 20 years and during covid I used to scroll through the sims4 sub during my breaks at my essential job to stay sane. I was away from the game and the community for a couple years, and now I go look at the subreddit and it's JUST show-and-tell type posts? What happened? There are no memes, no discussions, just "here's the story of my play-pretend". Is there tea or are people just not invested in the game anymore?

This is my first time playing with werewolves, and I can't tell if they're just dicks or if it's the traits or a mod. Conversations will be going great then he just starts yelling at people for no reason lmao. Is it werewolf temperaments, are they all assholes like that, or is it the "high-strung" trait from chingyu 100 traits?
