Buying new battery for UPS(for computer, idk if it's used for other purposes as well)
Last time I bought battery for UPS was 2 years ago. I was offered about 40% discount if I exchanged it with my dead battery. I'm just wondering whether I got full new battery(or full capacity version) at that point. I can do nothing about spilt milk now, but since I'm in dire need of another new battery, I don't want to get screwed over again(if indeed that's what happened).
How do I figure out whether the battery I'm buying is full capacity? Gemini tells me that I'd have to check the voltages after charging the new battery completely, using multimeter.
Is there no shortcut to this? After reading your suggestions, I'll weigh pros against cons of buying sealed new battery vs unsealed new battery(like I bought last time, it used to give me few minutes of backup though for few months after installing it in my home) and then make my next move
