If Vlad von Carstein was accepted as an elector count...

So I have randomly read somewhere online that during some "end time" Von Carstein was temporarily tolerated as an elector count of Sylvania of the Empire.

Can someone maybe explain the lore of this a bit?

AND what I am wondering, if this is true. Did normal people of the empire go to battle together with skeletons, bats, zombies etc. in their lines?

Why are the traitor primarchs even bowing to Abbaddons authority?

Hi yall newbie here,

I understand that Abbaddon has the biggest legion and is juiced up by all 4 chaos gods but I still don't understand why all traitor primarchs would follow his lead? Like what gives this particular "space marine" authority over literally primarchs?

You are Daemon I Blackfyre, what do you do differently?

You are legitimized, you have smaller houses supporting you, both your parents are Targaryens, you have the Golden Company supporting you. You have enough heirs just in case, and you are wielding the legendary sword Blackfyre.

What do you do to win?

Shane is Judith's biological father

I've done the maths guys, so let's end this debate once and for all:

Lori and Shane started hooking up when the military bombed Atlanta around Days 14–16.

Rick and Lori reunited (and slept together) on Day 60 of the apocalypse.

Lori started feeling severe morning sickness and requested a pregnancy test from Glenn around Day 67/68 at the Greene family farm.

Biologically, morning sickness typically starts around Day 42 of a pregnancy (roughly 4 weeks after conception) because of rapidly surging hCG levels. BUT it can be a bit delayed due to stress/malnutrition etc. hence why Lori felt her morning sickness a couple weeks later than usual

If Judith were Rick's child, conception would have been on Day 60.

By Day 68, she would only be 8 days along, her hCG wouldn't even be high enough to trigger a positive test yet (except if Glenn got an early pregnancy test but it's unlikely and still wouldn't align with the morning sickness), and her morning sickness wouldn't have kicked in until at least Day 88 to 100 of the apocalypse (when the group was on the run after the farm got overrun).

Since Rick was still in a coma during that crucial conception window (around Day 40), the timeline perfectly aligns with her time at the quarry camp.

So from a biological standpoint, Shane's da papi.

Rick also seems to admit this to Michonne in episode 4 of season 7

(as a young adult who majors in biology I learned quite something about pregnancies while doing this)

Best way to utilize a 45cm speargun?

Hi yall,

I am new to this and have tried spearfishing for a week now. By now I only got one fish.

When I went to the fishing goods store the staff told me to get the 45cm speargun as it is beginner friendly.

I had a relatively hard time with it and wanted to ask for any tips on how to utilize the speargun effectively? Where I swim (mediterranean sea) there is a lot of seaweed and flat mossy rocks so no caves or wide visible open areas with big fish, the size of the fish ranges from egg sized to adult hand size.

Like how do I aim, how to behave and how to get close without the fish swimming away etc. I am free diving/snorkeling with regular fins

I would really like to utilize the spear gun i already got instead of having to buy a new one so any help is appreciated :)

Did Bilbo become a master burglar because Gandalf said so?

Hi yall,

so I am currently reading the hobbit for the first time (I've seen all the movies) and I have just noticed how in the beginning Gandalf insists on saying that Bilbo is a master burglar ("if i say he is a master burglar than it is so").

It got me wondering: in middle earth magical spells are often literal sentences becoming the truth like when Gandalf told the Balrog "you shall not pass!" and then the bridge of Kazad Dum collapsed.

Did Bilbo only find the one ring, which then helped him on his mission in the lonely mountain, because of Gandalf's spell calling Bilbo "a master burglar". Is this a spell becoming reality like in the fellowship? I know that Gandalf may have not intended for Bilbo to find the one ring but the ring surely helped Bilbo in becoming a better burglar.

And yes I am aware that he picked a hobbit because they are small and swift and can go unnoticed but Smaug still managed to find him so the ring definitely helped Bilbo there.

Any opinions on this?

Sell or keep Sony A7 IV?

Hi yall,

So I did an apprenticeship as a Media designer (video/audio) and then freelanced for a year, with the money I saved up I got my own Alpha 7 IV with a Tamron 18-70mm lens. I stopped freelancing to go to university to get a degree in something else. I barely used the Sony Alpha 7 IV. I always kept it just in case uni doesn't work out so I could just go back to freelancing. Now someone offered to buy my camera. I paid like 2,6k (including tax) for both the camera and the lens brand new.

Should I sell it to them or keep the camera? Does it lose too much value over time? What is the smart move? My ex colleague advised me to just sell it but I'm not sure.

What do yall think?

I am team Blackfyre

So lemme start off by saying yes I know if events didn't happen the way they did Azhor Ahai vs The Long Night wouldn't happen and all and Bloodraven most likely planned everything in a way so that it would happen BUT I love alternate history/storytelling and that's why I can't get the "what if one of the Blackfyre rebellions succeeded?" and "is Young Gryff secretly a Blackfyre?" out of my head

Let's look at it from Daemon Blackfyre's perspective:

\- your dad (the king) has legitimized you

\- he gave you Aegon the Conquerer's sword

\- Bittersteel, Fireball and some smaller houses support you

\- King Daeron II is considered less competent than you

\- people think you are the cooler heir

\- a couple years after your death your son almost gets his hands on a dragon egg during a jousting tourney

and also the fact that even though Daemon Blackfyre has his own extended Blackfyre family tree is so cool all the way to Maelys and perchance Young Griff.

I just hope House Blackfyre becomes relevant again

Who knows that Gandalf is a Maiar?

Besides other Maiar and people like Elrond and Galadriel, who else knows that Gandalf is an angel?
Does the common folk only know him as the "wise kind old man"? Does anyone of the Fellowship know?

Addition: Is Gandalf himself aware of what he is? Or were his memories wiped when he was sent to Middle-Earth?

Another addition: if people knew he was a Maia, would that have changed anything?

I hate how the Clark Family "handles" things

Especially Madison. Yes she wants to protect her family but cmon, no way any sensible person would let someone like Troy live for longer than 2 episodes max. Someone like Rick would've rained hell down on Troy and his militia. And yes I know "it all gets worse after season 4"

Was T-Dog right about Rick & Shane?

In Season 2 where T-Dog and Dale have a conversation about their situation T-Dog expresses his distrust towards the two Sheriffs, calling them "good ol boys" implying that Rick and Shane would have racist tendencies. Obviously we know that there weren't any racist moments of Rick & Shane, but pre-apocalypse do yall think that T-Dog was at least a bit right about his assumption?

Anyone who is familiar with Southern US culture that could confirm/disprove this? I am from Europe so I am not all too familiar with American stereotypes

Did Clementine's group lead to Howe's downfall?

I mean they killed Carver and Troy yeah but then they just left the place, how did Carver's community fall exactly, is there someone to blame specifically? I've seen that in the last shot of the roof there was a walker approaching Tavia from behind.

Body recompisition & weight loss

Hi yall,

this one is gonna be a bit more specific because I can't find any fitting information that suits me online.

So I am male/23y and 190cm tall. I used to train from when I was 17-20y old and did a PPL split. I did take a 3 year break and now at 23y old I started hitting the gym again.

I am currently doing a PPL- split with 20mins of zone 2 cardio after every workout (6 days and Sunday is restday).

I work every muscle group for 3 sets and 8-12reps each on their designated day and keep track of my PRs.

I have around 30% body fat and I currently weigh 115kg

I did calculations online which told me that for maintenance I need to eat around 3000kcal daily and less for cutting.

I am currently eating 2600kcal daily with at least 140g protein.

I take 5g creatine monohydrate daily

I also sweat a lot when working out so I take electrolytes every now and then, but not too often.

It's day 10 since I have started going to the gym again.

I gained almost 3kg (which I assume is water weight from the creatine)

I try to get 7-8h of sleep every day and don't smoke/drink and try to stay away from caffein.

My goal is to reach around 85-90kg while losing fat and building muscle. I am aware that this may take some time.

What I am unsure of is if my calorie intake is a proper healthy deficit.

On my second week I have noticed in how on some muscle groups like shoulders and lats I am weaker than the week before.

Do I need to change anything on how I am working out or my diet?

Why was Tavia all the way down in Atlanta?

Is it ever explained why she would travel all the way from Carver's base in Tennessee down to Gil's Pitstop? What was she doing there?

Why did the Stranger even communicate with Lee?

He had kidnapped Clementine, why even talk to Lee and risk himself? Why not stay hidden and run off after the herd passes? Was it in the end really about taking care of Clementine as if she was his daughter or did he just want to torment Lee and had no other real plan?

Christa's and Chuck's opinion

Hey yall,

having rewatched the whole story for who knows many times I just noticed how as outsiders to the group, Christa and Chuck both were like "Lee you better not expect this group to go far and instead plan on going solo with Clementine to protect her".
Do you agree that Lee and Clem would've been better off as a duo?

Did the St. Johns kill and eat their own workers?

Brenda and also Andy mentioned how they had workers in the beginning but they either left or died. Is there any implication that they might have been killed and eaten by the St. Johns?

u/husdat38 — 3 months ago

Is it realistically possible to be eaten by Zombies?

by that I mean the whole biting flesh, scratching, ripping apart stuff. Is that possible? I once read that our body inhibits us from biting full force and that once one would become a zombie that this inhibition of the bite force wouldn't happen. We obviously don't hunt like predatory animals using canine teeth. Any biologists or other experts know anything about this matter?
