Official campus tour or hire a student to show us around?

We have an official tour scheduled with the University on Monday, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, may need to leave town early.

Would we miss out on much if we tried to take an unofficial tour on Sunday by attempting to hire a student to show us around?

Would love to hear about your experience taking the official campus tour and/or thoughts on this crazy idea.

John Mayer channel is the best

I love how diverse the music they play is. Yesterday I heard Metallica and digital underground, all within 10 minutes.

Not a lot of repeats, I just love it.

Preferred charge time does not work

So frustrating!

I have preferred charging schedule set, I am at my home location, I have it set to charge now, I plug in and it immediately starts charging outside of the schedule.

Saw elsewhere that maybe you leave it plugged in for up to 5 minutes and it corrects itself, but that's not true. I waited 10 minutes.

Why is this so freaking hard for their software developers to fix? It's such a simple test case.

The workaround is to do the charge later and have a ready by time sometime in the morning.

Is there anyone competent, with half a brain running the operations at DIA?

Tonight was the last straw.

Attempted to pick up my mother from the East terminal at 8:30 p.m., and the line to get to the pickup folks was probably 2 mi out into the road. Initially I thought, well it's a holiday and just a busy time.

But when I got closer I realized it's all of the slobbering, selfish fools that are just parked waiting for their party to arrive versus how it's supposed to work: the person calls you and says I am here and then you drive in!

There was one worker doing all the rushing and window knocking, and there needs to be about 10, and they need to have the personality of a pit bull.

Maybe we weren't that close after all?

We lost to Wolves, who lost to Spurs, who lost to Knicks.... maybe we weren't really close at all 🥺

Did anyone in Metallica's circle advise against their collaboration/release with Lou Reed for the train wreck of an album, Lulu?

Surely someone had to listen to this garbage and gently suggest they probably shouldn't release it?

Maybe when a band is as successful as they've been, they are simply surrounded by yes people, and everyone afraid to speak up?

Wouldn't their spouses have at least spoken up?

I'm fascinated by how something this awful actually sees the light of day.

And finally, I find it impossible to believe all 4 members were in on this decision.

I was terrified to list my property...

I lurked in here for months before finally listing, and after 9 months we have nothing but 5 star reviews and only 1 incident, totally caused by me.

On Christmas Day, our water heater stopped working because the cheap ass Chinese wifi switch I installed fried itself. And those renters didn't even rate us.

Sometimes only the bad experiences end up getting publicized.

Famous last words ...

K-Crema machine is crap

Bought this a few weeks ago from Costco, and the pressure setting occasionally works. Tried pulling out cup piece and cleaning, cleaning needles, but nothing works. It'll just randomly work sometimes.

And also, if you use a filter with your own grounds you can't use the pressure setting ever - that only works with pods.

Also has no strength adjustment.

So it's going back today - silly gadget.

VRBO Smart pricing is MUCH more reasonable, and priced close to what it should be.

I have my property listed on both platforms and Airbnb wants me to charge about $20 per night less.

So now I'm going to have to manually adjust everything.

Wish I could simply say use smart pricing but add $20 per night, you ignorant fools.

Thoroughly confused - in a recent post complaining about this paddle/ button people seemed to imply they love it and theirs works like a paddle: pull back on the tab and it engages.

My 24 doesn't work like a paddle, instead I have to press a little hidden button area down in the back somewhere just right for it to engage.

Now wondering if mine is simply broken?

*Update - dropped off at dealership this morning and even they were confused. We had to go over to a 2026 and that's where I confirmed that gently pulling the paddle in is supposed to engage the switch. You can feel the mechanical switch softly click when that happens. On mine, gently pulling in does nothing.

*Update 2- picked it up today and they put on a new switch, but it doesn't work like a paddle, like the 26 I tested. But it does have better defined edges so it's easier not to switch radio channels when your finger is trying to find the sweet spot. I'll post a picture of the new switch down in comments below.
