I have 4 cats, all females. My issue is with one of my twin cats.
I adopted the twins when they were about 3 months old, and that was 3 years ago. When I first adopted them, they were both very curious, adventurous, naughty, playful, and affectionate. It took about a month for them to fully adjust to my resident cat, who was 5 years old at the time.

However, sometime before the twins turned 1, I noticed that one of them started becoming extremely skittish and fearful.
Now, she hides as soon as she hears footsteps or someone approaching. She’s very cautious about everything and isn’t nearly as affectionate as she used to be. She mostly shows affection at bedtime or when she wants me to brush her. Other than that, she’s pretty antisocial. She usually stays in one room and sleeps for most of the day.

Her twin sister is completely different and is still much more outgoing.
I honestly can’t pinpoint anything specific that happened that would have caused such a big personality change. It feels like she went from being this curious, adventurous kitten to being afraid of almost everything.

Has anyone experienced something similar with their cat?
She’s 3 years old now. Is it possible to help her become more confident, social, and affectionate again, or is this probably just her adult personality now?
I’d especially love to hear from anyone who has successfully helped a very skittish/scaredy cat become more confident.

Heyyyyy. So, I had both my tubes removed last month. My surgeon confirmed both tubes are gone, I saw before and after photos, and my pathology report confirmed tubes were completely removed.
I had sex without any other form of protection (condoms, pills, etc). Just trusting my successful bisalp.

Noooow, according to my app, I’m supposed to have my period on Thursday. I’m soooo anxious!! Lol.
Hopefully I get my period on time.

Also, when I had my surgery done, I got my 1st period a week after. It was on the dot.
I’m waiting for my 1st period after bisalp sex… goodness the anxiety is killing me hahahaha

Soooooo I had both my tubes removed on 7/6. I had my first sex post bisalp last night. And wooow it was sooo good but I am so paranoid right now. Lol!!

I already had my post op and my doctor confirmed both tubes were taken out. I saw the pathology report and pictures of before and after as well.
Idk whyyy but i’m soooo overthinking right now! Hahaha!

My flo app said I ovulated on Thursday. Hopefully I get my period this month. 🤞🏼🤣

I stopped reta for a month because I had surgery done.
While I was totally off of reta, and now in my goal weight, I had decided to hop on tirz for maintenance and anti inflammatory benefits.

Buttt I wasnt expecting that I am more hungry on tirz!! Food noise are so loud.

When I was on reta, I was mostly on 2mg.
On tirz, 2.5mg and now on my 4th pin.
This is sooo weird. Lol.

Anybody has the same experience after reta to tirz switch?

I had my bisalp done 3 weeks ago, and even though I know the chances of pregnancy are extremely low, I’m still a little anxious about trying sex without protection for the first time. 😅

This will basically be my first time having completely raw sex post-bisalp, and my brain keeps going, “What if…?” Lol.

For those who have had a bisalp, how was your experience mentally and physically? Did it take a while for you to trust that you were really sterile? Did you still use condoms at first for peace of mind?

Hey all! I just had my bisalp yestrday.
I’m struggling to sleep. :(
I find it easier when I’m not laying down flat. I have 3 pillows under my head. But my lower back hurts.

Everytime I get up to pee, I can feel a little pressure on my left lower ab area. Its not painful but surely much more pressure.

I had my bilateral salpingectomy today, and everything went well! My surgery was done by a urogynecologist, and I’m so relieved it’s finally over.

I’m slowly recovering at home now. I’ve taken some pain meds, and I was even able to take a shower today, which made me feel so much better.

The only thing that’s really bothering me is peeing. 😭 It stings SO badly every time I pee. Has anyone else experienced this after their bisalp? I’m guessing it might be from the catheter, but wow… I wasn’t expecting it to hurt this much.

I’m having my bisalp on Monday! 🎉 For context, I’m getting it done at Kaiser in Richmond, CA. Is anyone else getting theirs around the same time? 😂

I’m so nervous! I’ve been binge-watching way too many bisalp TikToks, and now I’ve managed to freak myself out even more. 😅 I came across two different TikToks from two different people who said they had a bisalp and still ended up pregnant. Now I’m freaking tf out hahaha.

I know it’s supposed to be one of the most effective forms of permanent birth control, but hearing those stories has my anxiety going crazy. 😭

If you’ve had a bisalp, how was your experience? And if you have any words of reassurance (or recovery tips!), I’d really appreciate them!

I had a bilateral salpingectomy (bisalp), but I still find myself worrying about getting pregnant. I know it’s supposed to be one of the most effective forms of permanent birth control, but my anxiety keeps making me wonder about the “what ifs.”

If my husband finishes inside me, am I still safe from pregnancy? Do any of you with a bisalp still let your partner finish inside without using any other protection?

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who’ve had a bisalp or from anyone who knows more about how effective it really is. I could use some reassurance.

I’m so used to how I look with glasses that I feel uncomfortable, shy, and awkward whenever I’m not wearing them.

Hi all! I’m trying to get off reta since I have a surgery next month.
Rrta worked great for me and been taking it for 3 months. I lost about 20lbs.
I’m planning to start pinning again a week after my surgery. Do you think I should stick to reta or get on tirz instead?
I just don’t like the skin sensitivity that reta gives 😭

Hi! I have decided to get my bilateral salpingectomy done next month. I have already consulted my OBGYN, and she was very supportive with my decision. Of course, she discussed the risks but according to her, I am considered low risk even I have complex regional pain syndrome.
She also mentioned that some people had regrets after the procedure..

I’m very excited but very anxious too. I know I don’t want to have kids ever since I was young. I’m 31 now btw.

Any tips? Advice?
