why does my(22f) boyfriend(22m) keep saying i think i’m “all that”?

my boyfriend has told me many times that i have “headweight,” that i think i’m a “big deal,” and that i’m “not all that.” he wasn’t joking when he said it, and it honestly hurt me. today, i was having tea with my friends and there were some guys from my class. when i stood up, i slipped, my chair fell, and the guys there laughed. i told my boyfriend about it and said “it was humbling” because i was embarrassed and was making fun of myself. but he seriously said that i have a lot of headweight and that i think i’m a big deal, and then said, “you’re not all that.” i honestly don’t know why he said that. i wasn’t trying to act like i’m special or better than anyone. i was literally telling him about an embarrassing moment where i slipped in front of people 😭. this also isn’t the first time he has said things like this.

TL;DR: my boyfriend repeatedly tells me i have “headweight,” think i’m a big deal, and that i’m “not all that.” today i told him about an embarrassing moment where i slipped in front of some classmates and said “it was humbling,” and he used that to say i think too highly of myself.

am i a bad luck?

my boyfriend recently traveled to my city mainly to spend time with me. his internship is work from home, so he didn't have to come, but he chose to. the day he traveled was absolute chaos. he almost missed his flight, somehow made it at the last minute, then later had to rush and catch another train at the last minute. after an exhausting day, he accidentally missed his hometown stop and now has to get down at the final station and travel another couple of hours to get home.

what makes me anxious is that this isn't the first time something like this has happened. the last time he left my city after meeting me, we also ended up rushing and barely catching a bus. my boyfriend has previously blamed me or implied that i'm associated with bad luck when things go wrong. because of that, whenever travel plans become chaotic around our visits, i automatically start thinking he'll see me as the reason.

logically, i know i didn't cause the flight issues, the train issues, or him missing his stop. but emotionally, it's hard not to feel responsible when someone you love keeps connecting unfortunate events to you. so i wanted an outside perspective. would you see these situations as me being bad luck?

update: he somehow made the flight

he made it. 😭

he was supposed to get off at ndls, but the train was moving really slowly and he got worried about time, so he got down at sadar bazar instead. as soon as he got out, a bunch of auto and cab drivers surrounded him. he told them whoever could get him to airport t1 in 25 minutes would get ₹1000. one auto driver immediately agreed. google maps said he would reach by 10:35, but somehow the driver got him there by 10:25.

after reaching the airport, he accidentally wasted some time in the arrivals area before realizing he needed to be at departures. he entered around 10:45 and thankfully had digiyatra. he asked airport staff where to go, and they told him to head to the baggage counter. when the staff there found out his flight was at 11:00, they basically refused to help because it was too close to departure.

while he was standing there trying to figure out what to do, a random passenger told him to stop waiting and go straight to the gate since he had digiyatra. so he ran. security then stopped him because his bag had scissors, a shampoo bottle, and some chargers that he had forgotten about. they pulled him aside and checked everything again. he literally told them to just throw the items away and let him go. they removed the items and cleared him around 10:48.

then he found out his gate was gate 33, he ran all the way there, and luckily the gate staff helped him out. they checked his bag at the gate itself, got him onto the airport bus, and finally onto the plane.

i genuinely thought he was going to miss it, but somehow everything worked out in the end. 😭

my bf is about to reach new delhi railway station now (10am), do you think he can catch his flight at 11am? he'll be taking metro and said it'll take about 45mins to reach airport.
