Roomba J7+ gets "stuck" right in front of the base every day

See photo. This happens every day. Is there something wrong with this location in my bathroom?

Also, I moved the base about a week ago and remapped the house but the map still shows the little home / base icon in the previous location.

How do I get my adult dog to sleep in later?

Two weeks ago we welcomed a 3 year old pug to the family. She sleeps through the night soundly either in our bed or in her crate, but she has been waking up at 6:30ish every day and whining in the crate or jumping on me and running around in the bedroom. My alarm doesn't go off until 7:30 so I'd love to be able to sleep in.

When she wakes up, I take her outside and then let her be unsupervised downstairs where she just lays back down on the couch and rests until I get up again. It's not like she's up and active for the day.

Her last bathroom break of the day is about 10:30pm. At 3 years old I would expect her to be able to hold it overnight until 8, but that is just based on our older pug which sleeps until I get up every day.

How do I get her to sleep in or wait quietly until I get up? I'm considering just letting her sleep in the living room and seeing if she does well down there until I get up.

TIA!

Feeling sad after adding a second pug to family

I'm not sure if this is a normal way to feel.

My fiance got our 8yo girl as a puppy and I came into her life when she was 3. She is my absolute soul dog. I loved our life as a little family and our routine. I was indifferent to getting a second dog but my fiance really wanted one and we both thought our 8yo might be lonely. We also both hoped getting another pug would eventually soften the heartbreak when our 8yo passes away.

Two weeks ago we added a 3yo girl pug from a rescue. She is sweet and playful, pretty well behaved. My fiance is really happy to have her. Obviously things have changed a bit in our daily life. The 8yo pug seems happy to have a companion but I'm feeling a little sad for some reason... While I enjoy the new pug too, I'm missing the routine we used to have, miss giving my 8yo pug all my attention, and wondering if I would be happier with just her.

I've also been having a lot of intrusive sad thoughts about my 8yo getting old and dying which doesn't help!

Anyone else feel this way? Did you eventually grow attached to your second pug? Thanks!

When did your pug calm down?

This is Honey. She's 3 years old and not yet spayed. We are fostering her with the plan to adopt her. She was a breeder release.

Honey has a good amount of energy for a pug. Maybe it's because she is still young. She plays, has to be coaxed to go to bed, and is up and zooming around at about 7:30am every day. Her bursts of energy are short lived. She does relax and sleep a lot for the day while I'm working though. She's mischievous and has a habit of chewing cords and other things.

We have another 8 year old spayed female pug named Eevee. Eevee is the typical lazy couch potato pug. She doesn't play much anymore, rarely gets excited, goes to bed on command, and sleeps in. Eevee never gets into anything.

I came into Eevee's life when she was 3 and I'd say she really calmed down at 4 years old.

I'm just wondering what everyone else's experience is. When did your Honey turn into an Eevee? Or did they never slow down? I want to go back to sleeping in 😂

Dog knows outside = bathroom but doesn't know inside ≠ bathroom

We started fostering a 3 year old intact female pug four days ago. She was in a previous foster home for about three weeks before we got her. She is a foster to adopt so our intention is to adopt her after she is medically cleared by the rescue.

We don't know much about her background except she was a breeder release, so I'm just assuming the worst that she wasn't house trained at all.

She does very well at going potty when we take her outside. She pees pretty much every time and it seems like she prefers to poop after breakfast and after dinner. She knows outside = bathroom but she doesn't know inside is NOT bathroom. She hasn't soiled her kennel yet but if she has to go while she's around the house, she'll just stop whatever she is doing and go.

For reference we have another 8yo pug that my fiance got as a puppy. I met them when she was already an adult and fully house trained. She never goes in the house and will sit by the door until we take her out.

I don't have experience in dog training. I asked my fiance how he taught the older dog that going inside isn't okay and he said he used to show her the accident, scold her, and punish her by putting her in the kennel. I know this is not recommended. Any advice on teaching the new dog that it's not okay to go inside / to tell us she needs to go out?

What veil would you wear with this dress?

I didn't realize how hard finding a veil would be!

I originally looked at (and bought) a couple of fingertip length lace edge floral aplique veils, but I've noticed the floral apliques tend to curl inward and sit weird on my shoulders which I don't like.

Now I'm wondering if my dress would look better with a chapel length veil that matches or just exceeds the train, and/or a veil with softer lace or maybe even just a simple plain veil. I'm also worried about looking "too much" for my small (35 guests) wedding. My venue is a historic hotel.

Would love suggestions on length, style, details, anything.
My dress is a strapless fit-and-flare with a sweep/court train, delicate floral jaquard fabric, and ruching over the bodice.

TIA!

We are going to Secrets La Romana in December. The flight options are 5:30am-2:45pm or 7:00am-4:30pm on a Tuesday. Would you take the super early departure and earlier arrival, or the later departure and later arrival? We will still have to get transportation to the resort and make that drive too.
