Teachers who live in very high cost of living areas: do you work over the summer? What do you do?
Teachers who live in very high cost of living areas: do you work over the summer? What do you do?
Do you work over the summer? Why or why not? What do you do? Do you think with today’s cost of living that teachers need to work all 12 months? Extra info that I think is relevant: when did you buy and house? Obviously housing costs are the bulk of living expenses
How often do you use AI resources like ChatGPT or Claude or similar? What do you use them for? Do you use them for tasks you could do yourself, even if it would take a bit longer?
Be honest. How easy is it as a gym teacher? Do you think they deserve to be paid the same wage as all other academic teachers?
I am so sincerely confused at how sellers can look at their wildly overpriced house and ask why it’s not selling.
“But the agent said to list it at this price”… real estate agents aren’t exactly rocket scientists. Is there something psychological that goes on when somebody tries to sell a house? Something where these people ignore all available data?
Can you explain your thought process?
How long did it take you to get an offer accepted on a home and how large was your search area? We’re going on a month (which I know is next to nothing) with 3 tours, 1 offer and 1 rejection. We are looking in a very small area of about 1.5 square miles.
For a 1,200 square foot house in Nassau county! How much did your inspection cost recently?
What kind of conversations will my agent be having with the listing agent after we put in an offer? Does the listing agent explicitly tell him what the other offers are or is it vague? Do they say how many other offers are on the table? Do they give an exact dollar amount that needs to be beat? What is revealed and what isn’t?
How many times did you lose out on a house around here? What kind of offer did you lose out to?
First time homebuyer here trying to understand what sellers are looking for. I do not have unlimited money of course so I understand another bid may come in higher than mine. Any recent sellers not take the highest offer? How come? I was banned from r/realestate for asking this question over there for some reason lol so I figured I’d come here
Why’d you choose to accept a lower offer when selling your house?
I’m being so sincere with my question. I could not detect a single line or character I would categorize as “unnecessarily woke” from the movie. Despite this, it appears people on the right are taking issue with the film. Can anybody explain?
What city or general area do you work in a what do you think would in appropriate compensation for your experience level? Feel free to include benefits, PTO, salary, overtime.
I was driving on North Ocean Avenue today through Farmingville, which has 4 lanes of fast moving traffic. There’s plenty of houses on that street and I’m just wondering WHO is buying these houses?? Why would anyone buy a home on a major roadway like that when there’s likely one reasonably nearby that isn’t?
I’ve been a licensed director for a couple years now and I definitely would like to be ONLY a funeral director for a few more years to polish my work, but what’s next? There’s little to no progression in this field. I currently work for a family owned funeral home of only 4 funeral directors so there doesn’t seem to be anywhere for me to go as far as up. What did you do to progress your career? Would going corporate be my only way?
Can someone explain to me why people are paying ~800k for ~1,000 square feet in the Sayville Bayport Blue Point area? What do those towns have that is so unique?
I showed by agent a list of houses I’ve compiled over months that, if one came to market, I’d jump on immediately. My agent is having her assistant call each home to see if the owner is thinking of selling. Has your agent done this for you? What kind of success did you have?
Do you think you would’ve been a patriot or a loyalist? Why? Which side do you think modern day leftists would be on and why?
I went into my town’s public library today and saw a book display for pride month accompanied by a pride flag. One of the books was called “Gay Mormon Dad”. There were a bunch of other books. Did I think the title “Gay Mormon Dad” was a bit odd, yea sure. But I just giggled for a second and moved on. I’m sure a display like that would genuinely upset some people. I’m just wondering.. why? Another detail I’d like to add is no, the display was not in the designated children’s section of the library.
