Female Terapagos

I know the Terapagos in ScVi is coded to be male as a reference to Lonesome George, but the fact remains that Terapagos has the potential to be female. I have been holding onto hope for two years that GameFreak will distribute a female Terapagos to give our buddy a girlfriend (never mind that they can't breed), so I've been saving this spot for her in my box. Do you think there's a chance, or is he destined to be the last of his kind?

Where'd you fly, Decidueye?

I was clearing out a Psyduck outbreak to shiny hunt when Decidueye decided to go sightseeing on his way to KO a target. 😂

New issue with audio playback, no change to settings

I usually listen to Audible or YouTube while I'm driving. Until very recently, whenever my audio would get interrupted (reversing, receiving a call, getting a text chime, etc.), my audio would resume afterwards. But in the last couple of days, any interruption to the audio pauses the media and I have to manually restart it. Does anyone know why this would be?

Workplace “upgrading” to Office 365—compatibilty issues

Please help me figure out this transition!

In the classic Outlook, I had created many templates with fillable fields. I designed them Word using the developer options, but I cannot get them working in Outlook 365. My drop-down selector is gone; it only copies the prompt text. My calendar selector is gone; it just says “Click here to select a date” in text format.

This is probably my main concern. I use these templates on a daily basis, and they appear to be non-functional now. I even tried to recreate them in Word, but I cannot get it to paste the smart fields.

There are other issues as well, but that is the biggest one. Besides this, I cannot figure out how to pin the To Do app to the sidebar like I had done before. And the Notes app is gone entirely (for this I can find another solution, but it is still very frustrating since I used it frequently).

Looking for recommendations for individual portraits

My mom (59F) wants me (36M) to send her a few portraits to replace my highschool senior photo because she no longer recognizes me. She suggested asking my housemates, but you get what you pay for and I don't want to subject her wall to that. I'm not sure what my budget is yet; I'm just putting feelers out there. What does one charge for a few portraits for an 8×10?

Sound issues since last software update, B4 series

A few days ago, my TV downloaded an automatic update. Since then, every time I turn on the TV, the TV forgets my sound output preference (an LG soundbar) and defaults to the TV speakers. I don't know how to fix this, and manually switching back to the soundbar every time is tediously annoying.

Thought about the show adaptations and exposition

I've been listening to the audiobooks (currently finishing HBP) after over a decade away from these stories. I'm very excited for the show. One thing that's stood out is how exposition-heavy the end of every book has been. Rowling likes to write long speeches and conversations explaining key points of the plot to make sure the reader is caught up by the end. That's fine enough for the books, but with the show apparently covering a broader focus than just Harry's perspective (or so I've seen suggested here), do we think the exposition will be peppered throughout the episodes?

They say a good technique for filmmaking is “show, don't tell”, so I expect the show to give us the perspectives of other characters interspersed with the action from Harry's POV. The best example I can think of is how Peter Jackson adapted _Return of the King_ by jumping between Frodo and Sam to the other characters, unlike how Tolkien split their stories into two separate books. I think doing the show this way—giving us the action of the other characters—would make for better TV. But then what do they do with the lengthy exposition dumps at the end of each book?

I don't know what the best solution would be, and I'm sure however they do it will be very well executed. But what do y'all think?

I've been working on a Living Dex in FireRed and LeafGreen. Since we don't have HOME compatibility yet, I've caught all of the Pokémon available in FireRed. Now I'm playing through LeafGreen, and finally I have to play through one of them a second time. Doing so is the only way to get all three Legendary Beasts and all three Starters. (For trave evos, I'll evolve them in another game once we get HOME access.)

In doing this, I've been wondering what sort of reward there will be in HOME for gathering a Living Dex. FRLG has available the first 150 Pokémon as well as 64 Pokémon from Gen2 and 3 from Gen3. Additionally, there are 13 Pokémon (including their evolutions) locked behind Altering Cave which cannot be accessed. I believe all the Altering Cave Pokémon are available in Emerald, but this means that even among the full list of Pokémon that can be obtained through FR and LG on their own, there are 13 that cannot be obtained.

Now in all of Gen3, which includes Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, and Emerald, the full Pokédex includes everything from 001-386. But Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi are still unobtainable across all five games unless TPC injects events for them the way they added the tickets to FRLG. And the Johto Starters can only be obtained by completing the Regional Dex in Emerald—and then you can only claim one per save.

To complete a Gen3 Living Dex requires two Switches, and you must get to the postgame in FR and LG a total of three times between the two games. It also requires R and E; R doesn't need to get to the postgame, but E requires three full playthroughs. (S is not required since all of its version exclusives are also in E.)

So with all of that in mind, what is the likelihood of getting a completion reward for completing a Gen3 Living Dex in HOME? In my opinion, I think it's highly unlikely at this point. Unless HOME only looks at the Kanto and Hoenn regional dexes, I just can't see there being a completion reward for these games. If anything, there may be a Pokédex similar to POGO that tracks the Pokémon you deposit but can't be completed and doesn't come with a bonus.

I've never gotten a tattoo, and I'm not sure if I want to. But I've had an idea for a while that I'm considering, and I would be interested in design suggestions.

The centerpiece would say **1 Corinthians 13:11**. For anyone who isn't familiar, it says, “When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became an adult, I put an end to childish ways.” I have ironically claimed this as my life verse now that I've outgrown religion.

Along with the reference, I'd like to include some kind of image representing reason or outgrowing faith. I'm having a hard time coming up with anything that really feels right.
