Hello lovely ladies of this group and everyone, I am very glad I came across this sub, because before I enroll on any matrimonial sites and then drop the bombshell of wanting to be a child free couple, I would much rather skip that process by dropping this post here.

Here goes -

**About myself:**

*1. Background and family:* I am a 30 year old male, born and brought up in Dombivli, a town in Thane region in Mumbai (well it's so far from Mumbai, I feel a little guilty about mentioning Mumbai in the title).

I have had a modest education, and since after COVID - 19, I have taken over my family business of food packaging.

My mother works at a senior position at a MNC, and my father is now a self-redevelopment project consultant.

Since 2022 we have pivoted in the business from being converters to plain traders, I mostly work from home except for meetings and exhibitions.

Since my work is mostly online and calls, I am more than willing to relocate to a city where my wife works and has career prospects and growth, except maybe Delhi or NCR region, but never say never. Her career growth takes precedence, but just to put it out here, would prefer Pune, Hyderabad regions, where quality of life is also good. I do not like Mumbai at all, I would like to have the option of some peace and quiet outside of working hours.

My mom and dad are fairly forward thinking, and they fully support my decision of being a childfree couple.

Apart from parents, my close family is very small - a maximum of 4-5 more people, who all know and support my childfree decision as well, I have been pretty vocal about it.

So not a lot of scope for family drama, I hate it myself. Any tea would have to come from your side :P

*2. Personality:* I am 5 feet 10 inches tall, but, overweight as of now. I have my reasons for it, some sensible, some not so much, but having said that, I have been working on myself since last November, and I am on my way of being a fat to fit success story by July or before.

Otherwise, I was an extreme extrovert during my school and initial college years, but later took a full u-turn to being a full time introvert, and finally you can call be an introvert leaning ambivert with spurts of my school persona here and there.

On the emotional maturity front, last two years have been extremely uplifting for me in the sense I have been seeing a therapist, and opening up more to people, saying my thoughts out loud, and because of that I have been able to learn the wrongs and the rights. So you can call me a willing learner. People say I am an excellent listener, and often a very strong constant in times of need.

I like to lead, I like to host, I like to plan. I like giving surprises and I am a proper bollywood romantic. I have scenarios and plans in my head to keep my partner happy.

I am fantastic cat dad, although most of my emotional damage has come from losing some of my cats - but nonetheless, I am a die hard cat person. I will die by pspspsping a tiger - its decided. If we are on a date and I see a cat, I am sorry in advance.

I am a non-vegetarian, and a very occassional drinker (if you call 2 beer bottles "drinking"), never smoked, tried wape and hookah once to see what the fuss is about, it's amazing, but not my thing. I am happy with my cocktails, so yummy!

I am a Hindu, would prefer my wife to be a Hindu Maharastrian as well, but keeping an open mind. Political idea clashes are welcomed as long as we discuss about it constructively and arrive at an opinion where the countrys interests take precedence.

Career plans: In all honesty, we were in a downfall till 2022, living in a rented place since 2009 due to some poor housing and financial decisions. Whatever good fortunes turned, turned after 2022, and touch-wood the trajectory will keep its pace - but we're lagging behind most "ideal financial situations". I can share the housing plans with the interested people in DM, not here.

Financially, I started late, hence net-worth is being built, but the income has been good, and there is an ever increasing opportunity to make it 1.5x 2x being in a business with almost nil overheads, also exploring parallel ventures, but very honestly, my personality and focusing on expanding the current business verticals are at the top of my list.

Interests: While it may not look like it seeing me, I will rise from my death-bed if someone asks me for badminton. Similarly, I am almost equally fond of football, tennis (watching) and other hobbies include drooling over anything that has wheels, with photography and love for bird-watching completing my basic hobbies at the forefront.

New additions in the last few months have been skin-care, learning the basics of cooking and a few dishes (but.. my mom is an excellent cook, so is my dad, and hence partly the reason I was perennially in a shape of a potato - so I will be spending my weekends mastering the kitchen), and then I have added star-gazing and a musical instrument in my to-do list, but in all honesty, a couple of these hobbies are being done to want to make myself interesting, but at the same time, I will be taking these things seriously irrespective of that.

**2. Why am I child-free:**

Primary reason being it takes away a lot of time, dedication and career growth from a woman, and I don't want that to happen with my wife because the society says so. Secondarily, each passing day, this is not a world to be bringing a child in. Thirdly, I like my freedom, very bluntly. I would gladly be the cool uncle but return my friends kids to them when it's their time to shit and cry and tantrums. No thanks. I want my peace and quiet. I will most definitely be a cat dad.

**3. What am I expecting from my partner:**

a. Firstly, I need you to understand that I am work in progress, I started late in everything, settling down, emotional maturity, personality development, you name it, - but, look at it as an empty canvas. I am not saying it would be your responsibility to mould me, no! I am just saying, you can perfect me as per how you envision me - as I said before, I am a quick learner, and more than willing to learn.

b. I hope you're not too short, otherwise I'd have to call you Jaya ji.

c. Age doesn't matter to me, as much as maturity, girls generaly are.

d. I would want you to be equally enthusiastic about exploring places, food, and experiences now that we would have more time and hari patti to do that. (DINK baby!!)

e. Shared financial responsibilties and financial maturity is a given.

f. I'd prefer if you don't smoke, if yes, I'd like you to make a genuine attempt at losing the habit, same for excessive drinking and partying.

g. I want us to be best-friends firsts, everything else later.

h. Fully accepting how I look, I want us to look good, together and otherwise. Fitness, dressing well, and social mannerisms matter to me, and I totally agree if a girl wants me to look good for them as well, believe me - I wouldn't want it any other way. I want us to be a gorgeous couple.

This purchase was so unlike me, I usually dwell on any considerable purchase for atleast two weeks before deciding whether do I really need it or not.

Not this time. Couldn't find a lot of reviews for this one, most of them are for the gaming laptops, but I took the plunge, because I already have good experience with the Lenovo service and support in my city, and the specs seem to be good.

I got this laptop for 80k along with the 3 year ADP and EW.

Because I can claim GST input, this lands me on ~65K and after selling my old laptop, I am hoping to see this purchase as spending 40k net on this laptop, which seems like a good deal.

I am new to OLEDs, so will trouble this sub again when I receive the laptop for dos and donts for OLED screens.
