help with gender yet again

so I posted here recently and was told that my yellow birb is a male bc of the solid light pink cere. that was a few days ago. well, his cere has begun developing some whitish rings that weren't there before and now I'm wondering if he (she) has actually been a gal all along? sorry for the trouble!

(p.s the cage and perch are both temporary, the bigger cage and eucalyptus perches will be arriving any day now.)

it's time to say goodbye to being a potato for me guys🥹✌️

I've decided that I finally need to stop being lazy this summer and actually start exercising instead of simply stretching a bit and calling that a work out.

Do you guys have any yt channel recommendations? I don't really have anything specific like weight loss in mind, I just want to be fit. Something for slimmer thighs and a flat stomach would be nice, though.

Also any tips for consistency and how often+how long I should be working out?

I'm a new budgie parent and needed some advice.

hello! my little birbs (male and female) are younger then 3-4 months, and live on a stubborn diet of mixed premium mixed seeds and foxtail pellets. i only got them about a week ago from the pet store. my main question is: can someone please tell me what I'm meant to add to their everyday diet and how?

I tried introducing veggies but they're very adamant on their seeds and would rather just starve then try the vegetables 😭 I've also seen people say that a seed only diet is risky and I'm terrified for their future health. They're active and pretty happy currently, with bright feathers and playful quirps, so it is not an urgent concern but I want to be completely secure with them.

I'm also planning on starting with pearl millet because I've read online that it's helpful for hand taming, but I'm not sure how much of that I'm meant to use and if it's even correct to use it at this stage. they aren't fully tamed yet obviously- the male one just accepts head pats occasionally while the female one is more reserved and only accepts preening from her sibling.

I know there's a guide up for this, but could someone please tell me what their genders are? I really can't tell since they're still babies

I really hope the pictures are okay, my camera sucks. these two are brand new at my house as a first time owner and they can't stay still long enough for me to get a clear picture. I tried asking the shop owners and they said they do not know how to tell the sexes apart :/

how good is the BA english programme at JU?

hello, I'm a student who will start with my Cambridge A levels in August, and my teachers told me to start looking for colleges to apply to in the summer holidays before the course starts so we know exactly what we're preparing for.

I'm aware most people who do a levels end up going abroad, but I'm not sure if I can afford that.

I did some research online and found Jadavpur university, and I'm curious about what people who are currently studying there think of the English programme. would it be a good foundation to go abroad for masters later, or would Presidency university be a better option?

I also looked into Ashoka and some DU colleges but they're too distant (financially and curriculum wise, respectively, since CUET is based on the indian syllabus which I have not studied). what's the entrance exam like?

one more question, is Bengali spoken primarily on campus/in classrooms? I'm proficient in English and Hindi but haven't learned Bengali so I need to know if I should start learning it.

is this aquagenic pruritus or something else?

I live in a very small town and don't have access to any dermatologists for a proper diagnosis, so please bear with me.

My first memory of itching after being in contact with water is from when I was about 7 or 8 years old. It got worse as I got older. I have just turned 17 a couple days ago, and it's so much worse.

Basically, after I bathe, my skin burns a lot. All over my body. There aren't any visible rashes, aside from occasional small bubbles on the skin and redness from my scratching. It is a lot worse in hot and humid weather, which is unfortunately the climate in my town. This same reaction happens when I sweat, get wet in the rain, or even cry. My face just itches wildly because of the tears. After bathing, the itching goes on for 3-4 hours. I attempted not using soap for a few times to see if i'm actually allergic to one of the ingredients in the soaps, but that was not the case. It is also likely not a water quality issue, as I had the same experience with water even while travelling to bigger cities. Because of the sweat during summer, the itching stays throughout the day but with a lower intensity.

The general doctor I visited simply said that it is because I have dehydrated skin, and gave me a medical moisturizer. However, the moisturizer doesn't make much of a difference.

The itching makes my mood very irritable and sometimes I end up crying. My father also experiences itching after bathing, but its very obvious that his isn't as bad as mine. He tells me I'm overreacting (that everyone gets itchy in summer because of too much sweat) and that I need to learn to tolerate small pains because that's how I'll become strong. His scolding makes me feel insecure.

I looked my symptoms up online, which is obviously too unreliable, but they matched up to aquagenic pruritus almost perfectly.

Even if it is not what I think it is, can anyone please tell me how to start caring for it from the basics? It's really making it so much harder to do basic things.

how do you guys resist the urge to sh when you feel trashy?

idk whenever I'm in pain I just have to relieve it by hitting myself or pressing sharp things into my skin. I'm aware it's terrible but it's my only coping mechanism that actually works for some reason, but the after effects are not too pretty..

has anyone discovered an alternative or something?

can I study CIE AS history on my own for my next year?

I'm the only one at my school picking history, and so they cannot offer it unless I do it privately.

the teacher normally teaches igcses, but she was prepared to teach me as level history if the school offered. unfortunately, she does not have the time to teach me privately. she said that she can guide me through the past papers while I'll have to learn all the content in my own time.

I wanted to ask if this is doable if i put in the work by myself? yes, i've got self esteem issues, and from what I've heard, as level history is a big jump from igcses so it's worrying me.

I just finished my igcses this session and did pretty well, but we'll see how it actually went down when the results come out.

me before and after that 0654 22 paper

wtf was that bruhh, the diffraction threw me off and that random Pluto shoutout was so weird. idkk I ended up guessing quite a few things. I think this was harder then most of the past papers for me.

how was it for you guys?
