Resume/CV Question: Simple Duties -> Results Oriented Bullets

Resume/CV Question: Simple Duties -> Results Oriented Bullets

How does someone convert the simple duties on their resume to more results oriented as I've heard it is what is better to do now than pasting simple bullets of job description.

"Improved business decision making speed by 30%"

How is that 30% measureable? Just use any number for the sake of it or is there a way to determine this?

And do all bullets of a job description have to be converted to a results oriented point which includes a number or % to show the improvement/achievement?

What is relevant to the viewer in a dashboard?

New to this, but have worked on visualization before and I can come up with a pretty looking dashboard but I wanna know how to make it useful so the seniors looking at it know in an instant what decision they are going to make based on the dashboard report.

This is an old customer purchase dataset from 2 years ago provided by the company I'm working at and I want to practice on it,

How should I make this dashboard so that it is useful for the end user to arrive at better decisions?

The raw dataset columns are:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Accepts Email Marketing
  • Company
  • Address1
  • Address2
  • City
  • Province
  • Province Code
  • Country
  • Country Code
  • Zip
  • Phone
  • Accepts SMS Marketing
  • Total Spent
  • Total Orders
  • Tags
  • Note
  • Tax Exempt

How would an experienced person decide:

  • what KPIs matter,
  • what charts/analysis are useful,
  • and what insights management would actually care about?

Struggling with data visualization

In the past I have worked with a variety of illustrations, flyers, presentation designs, and even assisted with the logo design projects but when it comes to choosing the right type of chart or diagram to represent a data set I just feel lost and don't know where to begin.

If anyone has found a way to be good at this then please help, it will be a big step forward for me in my career.

Need Career Advice CIMA-Part Qualified

Hi Everyone,

When I became part qualified I was referred to an E-commerce business and they hired me as an accountant which involved doing their Bookkeeping and Final Year accounts with Tax Filing in UK.

I have been working with them for 4 years now and really want to switch to another division or domain, the current company is pretty limited and there is no way for me to further advance my career here.

I want to know what roles should I go for now, I am willing to start from 0 in that role if that is necessary.

Some roles are highlighted as Costing Officer, Payroll Accountant, Management Trainee, Cost Controller etc.

I want to be in a more Management Accounting related role and want to start from 0 so I can grow in this role as I move forward.

Please advise what job titles should I zero in on?

Telenor deducting balance (credit) for no reason — down by Rs. 45 in one day.

AoA

Telenor deducted approx 45 in 24 hours for no reason at all the deduction details they provided does not belong to me, I never use data only Wifi is what I use but still they have been doing this and it's twice now in 2 weeks.

1 week ago got received 100 got 86 after tax balance which they did the same and reduced it to 0.
Yesterday got 100 balance which after tax got 86 again, I made a call and the balance remaining on the app was 83.

Checked the app this afternoon and the balance is showing 38.40. (83-38=45 Down)

What is actually going on here no subscription is on, data is turned off they are still deducting on their own please someone explain this to me I am tired of seeing the balance going to 0 within 2-3 days.

When doing ghusl janaba are we required to apply soap to the body or just following the tartibi steps is enough with niyah?

Sharing this example to convey what I want to ask:

Say, I did the niyah for Ghusl Janaba and started the tartibi ghusl under the shower where I washed my head and neck then right side of body and then left side of body and this ends here.

Is this complete and can I pray now?

Currently someone on YouTube said:

Shower first, apply soap to the body and clean the soap under the shower. Then do the niyah for ghusl janaba and start the tartibi ghusl under the shower where I will wash my head and neck then right side of body and then left side of body, it is completed here.

As you can see the YT suggested method adds cleaning the body with the soap + doing the actual ghusl, it makes the whole cleaning process long and we have limited water supply so I want to ask is the soap cleaning part necessary?

Summary:

A) Ghusl Janaba Niyah + Water only Tartibi Ghusl.

B) Shower+Soap on whole body+Shower to clean soap+Ghusl Janaba Niyah + Water only Tartibi Ghusl.

Would really appreciate the help,

Thank You.

Hi Everyone,

I am seeing a lot of videos of Chivalry 2 on my feed lately and it was the most fun game I was playing 2 years ago but I left it because people around me convinced me that playing video games is waste of time and i've been gaming since my childhood.

I had a job 2 years ago and left gaming primarily to give more time to upgrade my software skills related to my career.

During this time I assume I only upgraded 40% of my skills or I should say if I was gaming for 2 hours I only replaced it with 50 minutes max towards my skill while remaining 1hr and 10 minutes I either went outside to have fresh air, watched some other informative non related podcast or worked out at home but didn't utilized it fully towards my original goal.

I am not going to stop working out as I'm seeing huge progress in it.

The situation now is I'm looking for a new job and currently don't have one for last 5 months.

Should I add gaming back into my life to have some fun (I have no fun activities atm apart from working out) while I'm still actively searching for a job?

The reason is mental health, waiting and not doing anything is even further decreasing my self confidence which is what I will need the most in a job interview.

I have changed my routine quite a bit and have been waking up early around 5:00 AM daily so should I give gaming some room in my schedule or do not even think about it and focus on making my skills go from 40% to 100% which I wanted to do earlier and put more effort in interview prep?

TL;DR:

I stopped playing Chivalry 2 to focus on upgrading my career skills, but didn’t fully utilize that time and only improved around 40%. Now I’ve been jobless for 5 months and my confidence is dropping. Should I add gaming back for some fun and mental health while job hunting, or stay fully focused on reaching 100% in my skills and do interview prep too?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently working in accounting for a retail business (e-commerce) and have been thinking about moving into a completely different industry like aviation or logistics/shipping.

For those of you who have made a similar switch:

  1. How different did the day-to-day work feel?

  2. What was the hardest part of transitioning technical accounting, software knowledge or understanding the business model?

  3. Did you have to study specific standards (like leases, revenue recognition, etc.) before switching, or did you learn on the job?

  4. Any tips for someone trying to make this move without prior industry experience?

Would really appreciate hearing real experiences, especially from anyone who moved into aviation, logistics, or other very different sectors.

(Can be anything which is completely unrelated to your current industry)

Thanks!

AoA

I've been working out consistently for last 8 months 3 times a week and can visibly see the gain in muscle and drop in fat everywhere except the stomach area.

Before working out and eating properly my weight was 84kg, and now it is stable at 72kg-73 kg. My height is 5'6ft. I think my ideal weight would be around 65kg.

Configuration of equipment:
Barbell: 15kg of total weight (10kg Plates+ 5kg Barbell's own weight)
Simple: 10kg plates on standard size dumbbell rod.

I'm follwing this routine for last 2 months using Myoreps technique but before that it was normal 3 sets of 12 reps. Current Routine:

Bicep Curls (Barbell) Myoreps
Hammer Curls (Simple) Myoreps
Upright Row (Barbell) 3x12
Front Raises (Barbell) 3x12 (only barbell no plates)
Deadlifts (Barbell) 3x12
Tricep Extension (Simple) Myoreps

Myoreps: First Round 12-16 Reps followed by 5 sets of going to failure with 10 seconds rest in each of them.

I lift 15kg on barbell which I can try to increase it to 25kg of total weight but instead of 12 reps I can get only 8-10 reps max on it.

Should I increase number of days like do it 5 times a week than 3 times a week?
Should I change some exercises?
Add more weight because I can lift 12 easliy on all of them?
What else can I do to make this better?

I am seeing gains clearly using this method but someone close to me said you are not working out hard enough which made me think what change can I make to this?

I want to lose weight but also want to gain muslce at the same time.
Please share your opinion on this.

Thanks in advance.
