So before I get started, let me clarify that this card when I don’t have issues is phenomenal. The cash back literally cannot be beaten and it’s going to end up covering a trip to Hawaii for my wife and I sometime early next year. I’m fighting my ass off to make this card my daily, but it seems like Robinhood doesn’t want that.

It started off with an issue that is mostly my own fault, I will admit. I had a Robinhood account already under one email and password, while applying for the Gold Card from Credit Karma, which then caused me to create a second account with a different email. Why Robinhood allows for 2 accounts with the same SSN, I do not know. But no big deal, I didn’t really use Robinhood for investing anyways, so I didn’t feel like it would be that big of an issue.

Until it came time for me to pay off the card for the first time. Oh boy, that was a shocker. I had made a smaller payment earlier in the week before I got paid just to check and see how long it would take for the available funds to update and surprisingly they updated immediately! Great, it’ll be just like my capital one platinum card then!

Yeah, until you try paying the ENTIRE card off and they quote you 5 business days before the funds will be available again. Fantastic.

Did a little research and found out that if I made payments directly from a brokerage account that the funds would be available immediately. Great! Problem solved! So I got a hold of RH Support and had them merge the 2 accounts so that I would only have one account with one email and I’d be able to easily submit payments and have my funds available on my credit card on every pay day. Beautiful.

Until I find out that once I had Support merge my accounts, that it had logged me out of my Gold Card banking app and I can no longer log in. At all. I get to the screen where it tries to login via the Robinhood app, and that doesn’t work, so it prompts me to log in with email and password. I click submit and the screen stays the exact same, but a few seconds later I’ll get the OTP on my phone from them. With no where to put it on the app.

So now I have no way of accessing my balance or making payments, and the best that Robinhood Support could do was “Send an email to a higher level and let them handle it” with no ETA and no follow-up after 4 days.

Yeah, this has been an absolute nightmare.

This is where my Dino deck is currently at. I’m pretty happy with it and it plays well at a bracket 3 table. I still need to overhaul my land base, which is the next step (jetmirs, shock lands, untapped duals like spectator seating, etc.) and I’m gonna try to incorporate more blink effects like The Mind Stone at some point as well. Anybody else got some ideas to consider? Thanks!
