I'm new to Cher and would like to know more of her musical works, so what albums do you consider essencial listens?
If you could place them by order they were released as well, as I would like to as well where should I start and where should I end
Instead of Alison back in the day wanted to include boys in the group and made it less of a girl thing and more of an all popular clique thing?
Let's say she picks the following:
- Lucas, although she makes fun of him, she would probrably pick him for the same reasons as she did Hanna.
- Noel, he was the most popular boy in school, plus let's imagine this is S1 Noel personality wise so not a huge jerk yet.
- Sean, because again he was pretty popular as well and won Prom King.
What would be their roles in the Liars? What do you think would the the dynamics pre-Alison missing and after?
How would that change the plot?
I did a smiliar post a bit ago, but how would you say each member of the Tudor family is normally framed?
What role, charaterizition, or stereotype is each placed in (either in books, progaganda or on screen)?
Has that role stayed the same or changed to another based on time?
- Margaret Beaufort, Henry VII and Elizabeth of York
- Henry VIII
- Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr
- Mary, Elizabeth and Edward Tudor
- Lady Jane Grey
- Mary Queen of Scots
- Philip II of Spain and Robert Dudley (the in-laws).
At the end of the day, the Tudor Time Period as become a bit of a mythology, where each figure as become a bit of an archtype or a representation of something, either through the propaganda of the monarchs themselfes or the content being made about them now.
How do you think Margaret Beaufort, Henry VII, Elizabeth of York, Henry VIII and each of his queens, Lady Jane Grey, Mary, Elizabeth and Edward Tudor are each viewed as today, what is their role in the Tudor Myth?
(You can add Mary Queen of Scots too beacuse she has a big role in this time period too).
What I mean:
Margaret Beaufort - The kingmaker iron lady
Henry VII - The compent ice king
Etc,
In the AU I'm doing instead of marrying Joanna, Tywin marries a foreign princess from Essos. I have not picked a name yet but for now let's say Illayna.
She is from a very rich Royal family and very beautiful. Personality wise, she is dedicated to her ambitions, brave, proud, power-hungry, cruel but very inteligent and a great strategist not unlike the Queen of Thorns. She presents herself as regal and is normally appears commanding but when things don't go her way she gets prone to crazy outbrusts like Joffrey.
She likes playing the Lady Mcbeth to Tywin and sometimes anticipate what he wants and get stuff done first. She was a great seductress in her land but also likes to be the more dominating spouse as well.
She wants to help him build a Dynasty but her main goal is wiping out all the followers of the Old Gods, because she is a fanatic for the Seven, and is very bloodlustul in that way.
What is her dynamic with her husband and children?
She wants them all to pawns to her game but is willing to show affection (like "you are so beautiful...you got that from me") unless they piss her off then she treats them like garbage.
In the myths, Hercules's final wife and eternal partner is Hebe, Goddess of Youth and Zeus and Hera's daughter, whom he marries after ascending Olympus.
If the show had intrudoced Hebe as his endgame, how would you have created her personality? And her romance with Hercules?
A time ago, I asked you guys If Pop (Modern Music) was a kingdom who would have ruled it, after hearing your takes, here is my list of who was the King or Queen per time.
Frank Sinatra (1943–1956)
Elvis Presley (1956–1963)
* (Elvis Presley ascends to High King level from 1963–1977)
The Beatles (1963–1967)
Aretha Franklin (1967–1972)
Elton John (1973–1982)
Michael Jackson and Madonna (1982–1991): Both had their legendary runs from this time period and although their status continued to be big, the 90s were more dominated by other popstars.
* (Michael Jackson ascends to High King level from 1992–2009)
* (Madonna ascends to High Queen level from 1998 though Ray of Light till now).
* (Britney Spears ascends to Eternal Princess level from 2008 through Blackout till now).
Justin Timberlake and Rihanna (2006–2009): Although he is not very beloved now, JT during the late 2000s was the face of the male popstars, while Rihanna blew up with Good Girl Gone Bad and subsequent hits. In a twist of fate, both also had a duet around this time.
Lady Gaga and Katy Perry (2009–2013): Both were very neck in neck around this time, of course Gaga had the Fame and Fame Monster which were huge and Artpop was good; Katy Perry for a time was the face of pop because of Teenage Dream and Prism. Both were two sides of the same coin, even going head to head in the VMAS (with Roar vs Aplause).
Beyoncé and Bruno Mars (2013–2016): Beyoncé was always big, but I would say that from her self titled till her Lemomade era, she was the main face of pop, Bruno Mars was also iconic around this time, he had Uptown Funk and 24K Magic and was the main pop boy, also both performed at the Superbowl.
Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande (2016–2019)
Billie Eilish and The Weeknd (2019–2023): Billie Eilish got huge through "Bad Guy" and dominated until "What Was I Made For", while the Weeknd was the face of pop during the pandemic era.
Taylor Swift (2023–ongoing): To be honest, she was huge since her 1989 era, but The Eras Tour was her crowing achievement.
Thoughts on my list?
Which "reign" you liked the most?
Who do you think will be next on the pop throne?
I'm creating a charachter, one of the children of Ben Skywalker, of Allana Solo's generation.
Tamara Skywalker, is a high-end socialite on a well-to-do planet (Muunilinst) who sleeps around with the galaxy’s elite. On the surface, she’s just another rich party girl but she’s an off-the-books informant learning info from the wealthy and powerful to pass along. She is also a very famous singer in the galaxy, even eclipsing Gaya.
She sometimes helps her family too if she hears whispers of dark side users who have some of her rich lovers in their pocket and passes that info along to her family.
Having grown up on a rich planet as a result of a brief romance during one of Ben's missions, he only found out her existence years after her birth, and she loves being part of the famous Skywalker family, meeting her four or three half siblings.
She is seen as the most beautiful woman in the Galaxy, especially as her mother was a half-melodie. Due to her inherited connection to the force allows her to become much more charming and attractive and persuasive. She’s skilled in the force but not in a traditional way, more so in a manipulative and espionage way through conversation and suggestion and physical attraction.
I already have the main storyline down, but I want a different spin off ideas for Tamara.
What interesting fun stories would you create for Tamara, to explore a different part of the galaxy?
What would be her dynamic with her Skywalker/Solo family?
How would the galaxy view her?
Since we know, very little about how was the games of other victors such as Gloss, Brutus, Enobaria, Finnick, etc, how do you headcanon was their year of the games, and overall story?
Here is my for Annie (give me your thoughts):
Annie was a carrer (not the top dog of her year, but still) and being the sea captain's daughter in D4, she is so loved there people don't call her by her real name Anastacia, but by her nickname.
She was very popular bet to win her year and was originaly the "it girl" in the Capitol her year, by her mix of girl next door sweetness and very pretty looks which made the men go gaga over her (think Britney Spears during her debut). "The mermaid of D4".
Annie had her first meltdown after seeing her fellow partner being killed, but following her victory she was forced/able to pretend, she was fine by most of her Victory Tour to keep the specatcle, but her inner struggles, the lights of the Capitol that were becoming sufficating on her (as they loved she won due to her image) led to her trigger when she reached the district of the tribute that killed her district partner which led to her second meltdown that was very public, ledding us to the Annie we know today.
That's why we never see the Capitol people actually talking shit about her (because they pity her because "she was so amazing when she won, what a pity she went mad") or even Coin, because her meltdown was so public and so sad, it would also give her and Finnick common ground.

I'm making a Star Wars AU, where I add more family members to the family which resembles the Legends timeline, I'm creating Ben Skywalker's family, and I want to create a Star Wars's equivelent of Aphrodite as one of his daughters (in my timeline he would have a older daughter, twin sons, another daughter and the lastborn).
Help me with ideas for his last daughter, and how you would do it, here are the only rules:
- She decides not to be a Jedi, and her carrer path is different from a typical Skywalker one. Instead she can become a singer or something else.
- She can be human or other species if you like.
- She has to be born in a unique planet not used a lot.
Here are my impressions but I'll be happy to hear other people's opinions, especially if it is supplied by arguments and examples.
Here is mine:
- Blair loved Nate as a first love/prince charming fantsay. He was everything she wanted at that time (cute, rich; socially cool), and I think he formed the opinion of what she would want in future romances. When Blair is in rough spot she always goes back to childhood dream of marring “the Prince Charming type” (ex: Marcus and later Louis) and that started with Nate. She loves Chuck to an obessive/unhealthy level, because he fits her vision of the great tormented romance she wants, plus he is like her male self (ambition, intelligent, her equal, friends with a popular blonde, issues with Humpherys, daddy/mommy issues, etc). They see each other as bad people and only they seem to understand that side of each other, they see trough each other to their core. I think she really liked Dan, but that like wasn't allowed to grow into love (like right person, wrong time), He could have been the Rufus to her Lily. She was the 'best' version of herself with Dan, but I don't think she wasn't being her 'true' self. I feel that Dan didn't exactly repress her true self, but definitely subdued her scheming side which ultimately made her lie further along. With Louis, he was Nate 2.0, but even in a more shallow way, she only liked him because he was a prince and was charming, that was it.
- Nate likes women with both Blair-like smiliarties (ambitious and career-oriented, prone to scheming, likes having power/control), but they are very different in nature for it to work. Nate liked Serena superficially, but doesn't truly love her. She was his ideal woman, "the fantasy" of his "first time", but he never understood her, he was the one who constantly judging her (for having slept with a lot of guys before him for example), and mistrusting her, he was annoyed by everything she was going through and didn't help nor have made an effort to understand her. I mean he literally says to Dan in S4 “Dan, I care a lot about Serena, I always will. But whether she realizes it or not, this is how she pulls people back in and I'm not gonna let it happen anymore. Neither should you.” And he FIRED HER in S5 from the Spectator. I do think that he is looking for that “Serena essence” in a woman, but she is not the love of his life and but a fantsay that he needed to get out of his system. He liked Vanessa and it was a healthy dynamic but it didn't have much passion. He seemed very into Lola and I think she was the stable adult dynamic he was looking for, but I think the woman he cares for the most deeply and will never walk away from is Jenny. I think Nate has a special afection for Jenny that he doesn’t had for any of the other girls he dated over the course of the show and sees her as innocent and special in a way (and that's why he is let down with her when she goes to the mean girls's level). If you notice, he walks away from Blair and Serena a lot in his romantic era with them, but he never walked away from Jenny in their whole friendship, he always tells her he is there for her. I think a part of him still subconsciously liked her in S3, but he thinks he isn't good enough for her and that's why he doesn't pursue her then, but explains why he is SO invested in saving her from Damien. I think it's very likely they get togheter in the events after the finale, and if they do, I think they will be the love of each others lives.
- Serena only truly loved Dan. She tries to fill the void her daddy issues left her with, and only Dan as been able to fufil it, he made her feel like adored and idealized, not only beautiful but also smart, and he was nearly obsessing over her, which calmed her anxieties to be loved. He treated her respectfully, unlike all the other men in her life, Serena won’t choose anyone else as long as there’s any hope of her being with Dan. The other men that I think she loved (but not to Dan's level) where: Ben and Tripp (I know it’s GROSS, but she risked a lot for Tripp, more then any other guy, expect Dan), Ben seemed to serve as her prototype Dan. I think she saw Nate more “friends with benifts type” and tried to pretend to herself that she loved him, but deep down she doesn’t because when Dan’s avalible she goes all in for him. I think the reason she was strugling between them was because she knew that choosing Dan meant never having Nate as a second choice again (and since the Dan-Serena dynamic is very on and off, then if didn’t get with Dan, Nate would also be off the tables as her safe pick). Overall I don’t think that Serena’s romantic feelings for Nate were deep, in my opinion she saw him as a rebound or a backup if didn’t get Dan or any other guy. I think she besides S1 Dan could have had healthy dynamics with Carter (who see through her) and Colin (that respected her and was mature).
- Dan loved Serena as a first crush, beautiful and socially likable, everything he had not/was not. She will forever be his muse and nothing can change that. After they broke up, I think he was looking for a Serena 2.0, and that lead him to Georgina (the bad girl version of what Serena could have been), Olivia (a less complicated but less exiting version of Serena) and then Vanessa. I think he liked Vanessa bc they were so alike, but Dan wants someone different from his roots. Despite them dating later and finally acting on the chemistry that was always there, I think Dan's love (or obsession) for Serena proved stronger than his infatuation with Vanessa. But I think he loved Blair more than the others. She was smart, could bypass him intellectually, was enormously rich and powerful (which he always longed for), and of course, beautiful, played a big role. I think he saw the person behind her mask and fell for it hard. Blair was his mature love, a woman he’s grown to care for through bad and good. Now, I think he will be happy with Serena bc there will always be enough feelings there to make it work, but I think if he had gotten his way he would be with Blair.
- Chuck loves Blair more than all other women, but that's very clear. But I think he respects other women like Raina and Eva more. He knew Raina could hold her ground (while he knows Blair will always wait for him), and with Eva he saw her as this ideal, this angelic woman and he tried to live out a fantasy with her, one where he could be a better, faker version of himself. I think he could have worked with both of them, but his great love is Blair for sure.
- Jenny only loved Nate. She liked Damien because he was her rebellious phase, but once Nate was free she was ready to drop him.
- Vanessa loved Dan, for real. Nate was a crush, but Dan was her intellectual alter ego + same social status + bestfriend.
That's all. Waiting for your impressions!
